When Tu Ziming returned home, he was so excited that he couldn't sleep all night. The seed of hatred, like a spark, was ignited by Zhao Cheng and quickly burned into a raging fire.
My childhood experiences and the events of the past remain incredibly vivid in my memory.
In large families, a son's status is closely tied to his father's. Tu Ziming's father, Tu Ang, was the nephew of the previous head of the Tu family and a cousin of Tu Qianhu and Tu Wanhu, though not a close relative. He was only chosen by the old head of the family to serve him because of his considerable business acumen.
But he was just a servant; the old patriarch focused all his attention on his two sons and did not cultivate Tu Ang carefully.
To put it bluntly, it was just exploitation.
Even so, Tu Qianhu and Tu Wanhu still disliked Tu Ang, believing that he had stolen the limelight and was suspected of trying to compete with the main family, so they bullied him in various ways.
Young Tu Ziming was no better off and became a target of bullying by his peers.
At a young age, he initially wanted to rebel, but after being severely reprimanded and even beaten by his father, he began to swallow his anger and become an ostrich, becoming invisible in the Tu family.
However, Tu Ang's forbearance not only failed to eliminate this misfortune, but instead led to a major disaster.
Tu Ang's wife was very beautiful, and Tu Wanhu took a liking to her and, after drinking, forced himself on her. Tu Ang finally couldn't bear it any longer and demanded that the old patriarch severely punish Tu Wanhu and give his family justice. The old patriarch favored his son and ignored him. Tu Ang, still furious, filed a lawsuit against Tu Wanhu.
Little did they know that the courtroom was not discussing the law, but rather the collusion with the Tu family for their own interests. Tu Ang's lawsuit failed, and he was instead retaliated against by the old patriarch, who punished him by family law and locked him in a dark room.
During this time, rumors of Tu Wanhu's affair with his sister-in-law spread like wildfire throughout the family. However, the version was not that Tu Wanhu was taking advantage of his sister-in-law, but rather that his sister-in-law was lewd and wanton, and when she failed to seduce Tu Wanhu, she took advantage of his drunkenness to sneak into his bed.
These rumors were orchestrated by Tu Qianhu, the older brother of Tu Wanhu, the current head of the Tu family!
Unable to bear the foul language, Tu Ziming's mother jumped into a well in despair.
After learning about this, Tu Ang went mad, his hair always disheveled, and he could no longer manage the family business.
That year, Tu Ziming was only ten years old.
With his father insane, his mother committing suicide, and burdened with a reputation for debauchery, Tu Ziming had a very difficult time in the family. He was a laughingstock and was often insulted and beaten.
He remembered his father's words: be tolerant, these people are not to be trifled with.
But he remembered his father's ordeal even more.
Tolerance is useless; it will only embolden those who bully you to the point of taking advantage of you!
If you insist on enduring something, it's not tolerance, but rather forbearance.
Just because you can't afford to offend someone now doesn't mean you can't afford to offend them forever!
Be patient and wait until the day I have the power and the opportunity, and I will make you pay for your crimes in blood!
Tu Ziming knew that his opportunity had arrived!
Zhao Cheng had instructed them not to delay, and Tu Ziming also knew that Tu Wanhu's absence presented a good opportunity to act. Although Tu Wanhu's role in the Tu family was not as significant as Lu Yuan's in the Lu family, Tu Qianhu would always consult his younger brother's opinion on any major decisions the Tu family made.
So Tu Ziming took action the next day. He contacted the younger generation who, like him, were disliked at home and bullied since childhood. He also sought out his uncles who had been on good terms with his father, as well as a few young servants. He didn't need many people, just those who were willing and able to get things done.
He only needed people to take action; as for how to handle the aftermath, Zhao Cheng had already promised him.
"Ziming, what do you suggest we do?"
"Ziming, we'll listen to you!"
"I've had enough of this humiliation for a long time. I might as well die together with them!"
Looking at the twenty or so people his age and a few uncles in front of him, Tu Ziming solemnly said, "It's not about dying together. As long as we succeed, someone will clean up the mess for us."
What are your plans?
"With just the people here, it would be almost impossible for us to openly challenge Tu Qianhu. The elders in our families who are tied to Tu Qianhu for making money will oppose us and will not allow the current balance of power to change."
Tu Ziming's eyes turned sinister as he said, "Then we'll take them by surprise, ignore their reasoning, and kill Tu Qianhu directly!"
Hiss!!!
Upon hearing this, gasps of shock rippled through the crowd. No one had expected that this usually honest and unassuming boy would be so ruthless when he made his move!
Despite their surprise, most of the young people showed excitement on their faces.
Among them, this is something so many people want to do but dare not do!
Now that someone has stepped forward to unite them and do this together, things are looking promising!
Some people questioned, "Tu Qianhu is surrounded by expert guards, do we even have a chance?"
"Tu Wanhu has gone out to lay low. To prevent Zhao Cheng from pursuing him, he took most of the experts with him, and there aren't many experts left at home now."
After a pause, Tu Ziming continued, "Of course, I don't think we have to fight a master before we can kill someone."
An older elder said, "If so many of us go looking for Tu Qianhu, it will definitely alert the experts who protect Tu Qianhu."
“Who said we all have to go to Tu Qianhu? I can go to Tu Qianhu's place by myself. As a junior, I will go to see him under the pretext of delivering important information. He will definitely see me. After I get rid of the guards, that will be my chance to make my move. As long as I succeed, even if the guards come, I can lure them with benefits.”
"And you, at the same time as me, whether you're one person in a group or two, go find those elders in the family whose interests align with Tu Qianhu's, and do it my way..."
