Chapter 55: Awake and Falling

Gu Nienchi kept his word and soon helped Lin Du find out the news about Qin Chang.

"I heard that he was picked up from Free by his boyfriend one day and never went back."

Gu Nichi frowned slightly, "And a few days before he was taken away by his boyfriend, someone saw him in the locker room with injuries all over his body."

Lin Du was startled and felt uneasy.

Although he had never met Qin Chang's boyfriend, Lin Du had heard about this man's bad habits from Qin Chang.

"I have a meeting tomorrow morning, so I can't go to the hospital today."

Lin Du was stunned, and was in a trance-like state.

The three words "I love you" are too heavy.

Lin Du's heart was beating so violently that the vibration was so strong that his chest felt numb.

He had no idea how to respond to this sudden confession. After a long silence, he said softly, "Gu Xinchi... I also..." However, before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by Gu Xinchi.

"You don't have to answer me now. I can wait until the day you are really ready." Gu Yinchi's voice was still gentle, as if it carried an endless patience and tolerance.

Lin Du was moved, tears welled up in his eyes. He took a deep breath and tried to keep his voice calm: "Thank you."

After hanging up the phone, Lin Du lay on the bed, with a lot of thoughts in his mind.

He knew how deep his feelings for Gu Xinchi were, and maybe one day in the future he would have the courage to say "I love you too" to her face.
