Chapter 40 A Little Trick (1/2)

The next day at noon, Liang Guiying handed Zhou Xiaonian over to Aunt Zhong and went to her stall as usual.

She only made one tub of iced drinks today, and the other two also only made one tub each.

The three did not exchange any words throughout the entire process, and after the workers finished their shifts, they each started shouting their orders.

The two men lowered the price to four cents a bowl, but Liang Guiying kept the original price and still had the most left over.

A regular customer came over and asked, "Boss, other people were already selling for less than you, and now they're even cheaper. If you don't lower your prices, nobody will buy from you anymore."

“My costs are already high. If I lower the price again, I’ll have worked for nothing all day.” Liang Guiying smiled tolerantly. “They can lower their prices. As for me, I’ll sell as many bowls as I can. If no one comes to buy, then we’ll see.”

"Don't worry, boss. My colleagues and I love drinking from your stall. We'll definitely support you, no matter what other people buy from you."

"Here you go, beautiful lady, I'll give you a bowl of rice. Wishing you a happy life!"

The next day, Liang Guiying still had more than half a bucket left.

Just as I was packing up to go home, the owners of the two stalls came over.

One man and one woman.

The woman said, "You've had so much left over for several days in a row, why don't you stop selling here, or sell something else?"

The man said, "You can keep selling, but we'll lower the price again tomorrow until you can't sell a single bowl. If you have too much money, then you can keep stalling with us."

Liang Guiying stared at them and shook her head: "I don't believe it."

For the next two days, Liang Guiying continued to set up her stall as usual.

Those two places are really ruthless; they directly lowered the price to three cents a bowl, or five cents for two bowls!

After the workers left, the two men came over and saw the neatly stacked bowls that Liang Guiying had piled up. They exclaimed, "Not a single bowl has been sold? That's terrible."

Liang Guiying looked at the two men and said, "Are you trying to drive me to my doom?"

Are you going to keep dragging this out?

Why not?

The next day, Liang Guiying appeared on time.

The two bosses glared at her fiercely. In the past few days, in order to squeeze Liang Guiying out, they had lowered their prices again and again, not only failing to make a profit but also losing money on costs and labor.

Liang Guiying ignored them and went to chat with Chen Ping, implying that she would also lower the price that day.

The owner of the herbal jelly stall next to Chen Ping was from the same family as the two stalls selling yellow-skinned iced drinks, so he quickly perked up his ears upon hearing this.

Liang Guiying smiled and said, "Everyone says my iced drinks taste better, so I thought that as long as I sell them at the same price as them, my business will definitely improve."

"Yes, given the same price, people certainly won't all flock to one store to buy from."

Seeing the owner of the herbal jelly shop quietly go to the two stalls to inform them, Liang Guiying said, "But lowering the price means losing money, and I don't want to lose money, even if it's just half a cent."

Chen Ping glanced at the person opposite him.

The three people opposite were huddled together, seemingly plotting something. When Chen Ping looked over, they also looked over, their expressions extremely grim.

Looking at Liang Guiying, who seemed completely unfazed, Chen Ping suddenly realized something. She raised her chin at Liang and smiled provocatively.

As the workday ended, the workers poured out. The couple exchanged a glance, gritted their teeth, and shouted, "Price reduction! Price reduction! Freshly made yellow-skinned iced drinks, three bowls for five cents! Three bowls for five cents!"

Three bowls for five cents?!

Everyone instinctively looked at Liang Guiying, who silently picked up the megaphone and announced: "One cent a bowl, buy two bowls and get one free."

The same product tastes almost the same, but the prices are so different that even a three-year-old would know which one to buy from.

Watching everyone rush to those two stores to buy things, Liang Guiying silently put away her megaphone, took a chair and sat down, fanning herself with a palm leaf fan.

The way she leisurely waited for customers to come to the door appeared incredibly desolate to the two men.

The two men quickly sold out of their iced drinks. Seeing Liang Guiying still sitting there fanning herself with a palm leaf fan, they didn't bother to pack up their stall and ran over to tease her: "Oh, you can't sell a single bowl? That's really pitiful."
