Chapter 93: Visiting the Living Cemetery

They drove to the center of the Living Cemetery, where there was a luxurious complex of buildings surrounded by a two-meter-high wall.

The walls are covered with tiles, each of which has an intricate Mediterranean-style lace structure. From a distance, it looks like a huge corridor relief painting.

In the middle of the building complex, which is also the left center of the entire living cemetery city, is a white three-story building.

The roof of the building is a huge white semicircle, with a golden statue on top that looks like a giant eagle in flight.

Except for the church in the north of the city, this building is already the best building in the city, and no other cemetery can be built higher than it.

This is the rule of the cemetery of the living, and it is also the highest respect for the owner of the tomb.

The other tombs are also built in an axially symmetrical pattern around the central large ancient tomb. The roof of each tomb is a white semicircular structure, and the top is inlaid with symbolic mythical beasts.

This unique group of cemeteries is like a large work of art, standing in the center of this city of living tombs.

"Wait, you follow behind me. When I stand, you stand. When I sit, you sit. You can only walk when I leave."

"They won't ask you questions, but if they do, I'll answer them for you. So, just keep smiling and don't say anything."

"If you don't know where to look, look into their eyes, or look into mine. Eye contact can sometimes express respect."

Ren Tingxi was like a strict director of the teaching department, carefully reminding Lan Xiaolan of the things to pay attention to.

It seems that the person she is going to meet today is indeed of a special identity. In order to avoid any problems, she had better listen to him obediently.

As soon as we got off the car at the door, two guards wearing bulletproof vests and holding rifles came towards us.

Ren Tingxi took off all the metal objects on his body and showed his ID.

The two guards began to search them with instruments. After a while of checking, they let them in.

Lan Xiaolan trembled slightly and felt a little nervous.

Ren Tingxi noticed her anxious expression, held her hand with his fingers clasped together, and looked at her lovingly.

"It's okay, I'm here, don't be afraid." The voice was calm and gentle, which made Lan Xiaolan feel warm in her heart.

After entering, they were led by the butler to the huge reception hall, which was covered with soft red carpet and had tall and wide floor-to-ceiling windows on all four walls.

There is a set of white leather sofas in the room, and the room is filled with a variety of golden decorations.

The magnificent decoration made Lan Xiaolan's eyes light up.

Ren Tingxi held Lan Xiaolan's hand tightly and walked into the reception hall.

There were already five other pairs of men and women sitting inside, dressed in mysterious and luxurious attire.

All the women wore black veils and floor-length robes that covered their feet.

Except for the eyes with long black eyelashes, all exposed parts of the body are tightly wrapped.

The men were dressed differently. Some wore neat military uniforms with a row of medals on their chests; some had big beards and wore white robes unique to the Middle East; and some, like Ren Tingxi, wore neat and elegant suits.

But the same thing is that these other five pairs of men and women, like Ren Tingxi and Lan Xiaolan, have their hands tied with a long white rope, connecting them together.

When everyone saw Ren Tingxi coming in, they all stood up and greeted him with smiles. Ren Tingxi politely shook hands with them one by one and greeted them in the local language.

The arrival of Ren Tingxi and the other person instantly livened up the quiet atmosphere.

Everyone began to look at Lan Xiaolan. Some smiled and nodded, while others kept patting Ren Tingxi's shoulders, as if they were constantly praising him.

He spoke the local language fluently and happily chatted with everyone.

When introducing Lan Xiaolan, he deliberately put his arm around her waist and asked her to get closer to him.

When everyone was talking animatedly, an elderly couple dressed in luxurious clothes and adorned with countless gold and jewels came out from behind the screen.

When everyone saw the host coming, they turned around and bowed, which was the highest respect for the host.

Lan Xiaolan was someone who knew how to read people's expressions. She followed Ren Tingxi closely, imitating his movements, fearing that even the slightest mistake would embarrass him.

After everyone sat down, Ren Tingxi stood up, took out a heavy leather box he had brought with him, opened it and showed it to the host.

The bottom layer of the box was padded with several thick layers of gold bars, and on top of that was a velvet bag containing two loose diamonds the size of pigeon eggs.

The host gladly accepted the gift brought by Ren Tingxi.

Then he put his arm around her waist and introduced the woman next to her to everyone in a very expressive manner.

Lan Xiaolan didn't understand the local language, so she didn't know how Ren Tingxi introduced herself.

But seeing how proud and proud he looked, and everyone nodding their heads, he must have spoken very well.

The host sitting in the main seat slowly looked at Ren Tingxi and said a few words seriously.

Then he turned and looked at Lan Xiaolan: "Did you bring your passport and work permit?"

"Yeah." Lan Xiaolan nodded. She always carried such an important thing with her because it was the only proof of her identity.

The attendant handed the passport and work permit to the master, who looked at them carefully again and again before nodding with satisfaction.
