Chapter 23 Signing the Divorce Certificate

Lu Zhiwei's gaze was fixed intently on the section where he had signed his name.

The ink on their black pens was still wet when their marriage truly came to an end.

He was truly willing to do anything for Xia Wanying, and even though she revised the divorce agreement to be more harsh than before, he still signed it without hesitation.

In his eyes, there was no comparison between her and Xia Wanying.

Lu Zhiwei suddenly felt relieved.

They quickly signed the cooperation agreement, exchanged contracts, and continued signing.

Then I went to the divorce certificate office and exchanged my marriage certificate for a divorce certificate. The whole process took no more than half an hour.

Lu Zhiwei has completely ended her marital relationship with Shen Jinmo.

As I walked out of the Civil Affairs Bureau lobby, the sky was clear and the sun was warm.

Lu Zhiwei carefully tucked the divorce certificate into her pocket, keeping it even more cautiously than she had kept her marriage certificate back then.

Two luxury cars were parked in the parking lot, one on the left and one on the right, symbolizing that they were about to part ways.

Lu Zhiwei was about to walk to her car when Shen Jingmo called out to her from behind: "The weather is nice, let's take a walk."

I thought I had misheard.

Lu Zhiwei turned around.

The sunlight softened his sharp facial features, and the corners of his tight lips lifted slightly, revealing a touch of gentleness, making him look like a dignified gentleman.

Lu Zhiwei had thought that he would be happy if she divorced him, but she never expected him to be so happy that he changed his personality.

“You used to always complain that I didn’t even have time to go for a walk with you. I’ll go for a walk with you,” Shen Jinmo said again.

Lu Zhiwei never expected that he would choose to take a walk instead of breaking up or ending the event.

Her almond-shaped eyes curved into crescent moons, a hint of mockery in her smile: "Did you fall? Did you damage your brain?"

"..." Shen Jinmo's gentle face suddenly changed color.

This woman always manages to spoil the mood just when he wants to treat her well.

"Mr. Shen, if you have more time, why don't you come back to the villa with me and clear out your things as soon as possible and move out?" Lu Zhiwei got into her Maserati, fastened her seatbelt, started the car with one button, and drove away from the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Shen Jinmo didn't even have the right to go home with her.

Not long after, Lu Zhiwei saw through the rearview mirror that Shen Jingmo's black Rolls-Royce was following behind her car.

The two cars arrived at the Shen family villa one after the other.

Aunt Chen set up a long string of firecrackers in the yard.

It was prepared by Aunt Chen after Lu Zhiwei had instructed her in advance.

After getting off the bus, Aunt Chen approached them with a lighter: "Sir, Madam, is there some happy occasion today? Shall we light the firecrackers now?"

Lu Zhiwei smiled and glanced at Shen Jinmo, whose face was dark behind her: "Well, today is a good day. Let's order now to celebrate my escape from this sea of suffering."

Aunt Chen didn't know what Lu Zhiwei meant by "good days," so she bent down and lit the fuse with a lighter.

The crackling and popping sounds were incredibly lively.

Shen Jinmo suddenly walked up to her, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her back to the villa.

"Lu Zhiwei, you were the one who schemed so hard to marry me back then, and now you're the one who's getting the better deal and acting all innocent. What right do you have to say you're suffering?" Shen Jingmo threw her onto the sofa.

His tall figure loomed over her, his strong, powerful hands gripping her slender wrists and lifting her high above his head.

The thought that the woman in front of him, whose face was flushed and who moaned and begged for mercy every night, no longer belonged to him and could have other men, filled Shen Jinmo with a suffocating feeling, and he could no longer control his emotions.

"So you think you've been good to me? Divorce is what you wanted, and now that I've done it for you, what's wrong with you?" Lu Zhiwei looked into his dark eyes and sneered softly.

Shen Jinmo slowly released her, got off her, turned around and sat on the sofa, unbuttoning two buttons on his shirt to let it breathe.

"Make me another meal." His deep, husky voice was still magnetic and pleasant to listen to.

He loves Lu Zhiwei's cooking. She can turn any ingredient into something amazing. He doesn't know where she learned her cooking skills, but over the years she has spoiled his palate.

"A farewell dinner?" Lu Zhiwei emphasized.

"Whatever you say, then it is." He was too lazy to argue with her anymore.

"I'm planning a big farewell dinner, maybe sixty tables. We didn't have a wedding banquet when we got married, so now that we're divorced, we should have a big celebration. We'll also invite the media reporters to witness it." Lu Zhiwei stroked her chin, already calculating the number of guests to be invited.

Shen Jinmo almost had a heart attack from anger on the spot.

I've never seen anyone throw a huge banquet after getting a divorce; Lu Zhiwei is the first.

A phone call interrupted the heated argument in the living room.

The call was from Lin Jing.

Shen Jinmo stood up and went into the courtyard to greet him.

"Mr. Shen, Ms. Shen Shuyuan has come to the design department. She has specifically requested the position of chief jewelry designer. However, another designer was selected through the design competition. She is currently at the company, and we are unsure of what to do. We may need you to return to the company as soon as possible."

"I'm coming now." Shen Jinmo hung up the phone and went back to the living room to get her car keys.

Seeing that he was about to leave, Lu Zhiwei asked, "When are you taking your things with you?"

"We'll talk after work." Shen Jinmo drove away.

Arrive at Shen's Group.

Shen Shuyuan had been waiting in his office for a long time.

Shen Jinmo walked into the office with a sullen face. Shen Shuyuan immediately stood up and asked, "Brother, where have you been? Why didn't you come to the company this morning?"

"I got divorced." Shen Jingmo sat back in his office chair and dialed the internal line to have Lin Jing call in the senior executives of the jewelry design department.

Today, he is going to establish rules in front of all the senior executives.
