"What did you and Jiang Jingyu do to me? I did the same to you." Shen Jingmo curled his thin, crimson lips, patted the spot where Song Anran had touched him, and his eyes were full of disgust.
Song Anran realized that she had been tricked. Despite her increased vigilance, he still managed to take advantage of her.
"When did you give me the drug?" Song Anran asked, clutching her groggy head as she reached for her phone.
Looking around, she remembered that she had left her handbag on the sofa outside the store when she was trying on wedding dresses. Now, she probably wouldn't be able to use her phone to contact her brother or the bodyguards who were with her outside.
"That glass of lemonade," Shen Jinmo reminded her.
Song Anran suddenly realized.
"So from the moment you asked me out, you arranged everything I ate and every place I went beforehand?" Song Anran clenched her fists, wanting to punch Shen Jinmo.
Shen Jinmo coldly grabbed her wrist and pressed open a hidden door in the fitting room.
Song Anran was taken inside.
The hidden door leads directly to another exit of the mall, bypassing the bodyguards guarding the front entrance.
Shen Jinmo's two men helped the swaying Song Anran up, put a hat on her head, and quietly carried her away.
As he shoved her into the black car, Shen Jinmo followed.
With the last vestiges of her consciousness, Song Anran asked him, "Where...are you taking me?"
"A question you already know the answer to."
Shen Jinmo gave him a cold glare and ordered the driver to start the car.
After fainting, Song Anran was taken to the hospital's operating table.
The doctor who received her was the same doctor who performed her IVF embryo transfer.
Shen Jinmo had their weaknesses in his hands, and now they had become his executioners.
"Perform an abortion on her," Shen Jinmo ordered the doctor expressionlessly.
The doctors exchanged glances. "Mr. Shen, this is against the rules."
"You used my seed for her IVF, did you ask for my consent at the time? Why didn't you think of that then? Isn't this in accordance with the rules?" Shen Jingmo's sharp questioning left the doctors speechless, heads bowed.
"Do it now, immediately, before the effects of her medication wear off. I will not keep this child in her womb. Not even for a day longer."
"Actually... Mr. Shen." The doctor in charge hesitated before speaking.
Shen Jinmo's patience had run out. "Don't plead for her. Being merciful to her is being cruel to yourselves. If you don't want me to take this to court, then clean this up. Song Anran made the mistake first. Even if she wakes up after the surgery, she won't be able to do anything to you."
"Mr. Shen, what they actually meant was that the child in her belly is not yours."
A familiar voice came from not far away, accompanied by the clattering of leather shoes.
The visitor was Su Ziheng.
The doctors greeted him with "President Su".
Clearly, this was not their first time meeting Su Ziheng.
Shen Jinmo stood there stunned, his gaze fixed intently on Su Ziheng: "What are you doing here?"
Su Ziheng strode over to Shen Jinmo's side, looking at Song Anran lying quietly on the operating table, "I'm here to tell you the truth."
"Stop trying to fool me. Right now, I don't trust anyone. You like her and want to protect her, right? But in Yunzhou, you're not qualified to fight me. You can't protect her." Shen Jingmo's words were firm and decisive, radiating a powerful and terrifying aura.
This aura surpasses that of Su Ziheng.
Su Ziheng shrugged: "I know I can't afford to offend President Shen, but what I said is true. I knew about her plan before she had the transplant. This hospital is owned by my uncle. I just spent a lot of money to change the embryo."
"What did you say?" Shen Jinmo hadn't expected such a twist.
The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.
Su Ziheng is nothing more than this mantis.
“I couldn’t tolerate the woman I loved getting pregnant with her child with another man. Before the embryo transfer, I had the doctor switch the embryos. So, the child in her belly is actually mine. All the doctors here can testify to this.”
Su Ziheng looked calmly at the doctors.
The doctors nodded: "Yes, Mr. Shen, this is what we wanted to inform you. Your and Ms. Song's frozen embryos have been destroyed and no longer exist."
Shen Jinmo's tense expression finally eased slightly after receiving the news.
He walked over to Su Ziheng and patted him on the shoulder: "President Su, your strategy is excellent. I admire you."
Su Ziheng pulled away Shen Jingmo's hand: "I'm not doing this to help you, but for myself."
Shen Jinmo's thin lips curved into a slight upward arc.
Regardless of Su Ziheng's original intention in doing this.
If the outcome is favorable to him, then it is good.
“I can leave the child alone, but I need to be sure you’re not colluding with the doctor to deceive me to help her. I still need to have the embryo DNA tested. Once the results come out, if it’s really not mine, how you handle it is your business, it has nothing to do with me.”
“Okay,” Su Ziheng readily agreed.
To prevent Su Ziheng from bribing the hospital, Shen Jinmo summoned a doctor from Gus Medical, a third-party medical institution abroad, to take samples that day.
Three samples were taken in total.
One copy was for Song Anran's unborn child, one copy was for Shen Jinmo, and one copy was for Su Ziheng.
After the samples were collected, they were airlifted abroad for testing.
It will take three days.
When Song Anran woke up, she got out of her hospital bed.
Her first instinct was to clutch her stomach: "Where is my baby? Has Shen Jinmo already aborted my child?"
She grabbed a doctor and asked urgently.
Su Ziheng brought in a box of chicken soup and asked the doctor to leave first.
