Lu Zhiwei could only reply to Shen Jiarui with a message: "Take good care of my son, I'll come pick him up later."
Putting her phone away, Lu Zhiwei lowered her head and walked into the crowded throng.
There was only one exit in the entire venue. Following the large crowd of departing people, Lu Zhiwei successfully walked out of the entire hotel building.
Lu Zhiwei hailed a taxi on the roadside, planning to return to her residence first before contacting Shen Jiarui.
The taxi stopped at her feet, and she got in and told the driver the address she wanted to go to.

Several black luxury cars drove in from all directions, completely blocking the taxi.
The bodyguards who got out of the car pointed their guns at the driver.

Lu Zhiwei sat in the back seat, watching a man get out of the black limousine. He was dressed in a suit and had blond hair and blue eyes.
A pair of long, slender legs stepped out of the car and walked towards him with an imposing air.
A faint, enigmatic smile played on his lips as he slowly and methodically adjusted his tie and cuffs, as if he were about to greet her with the utmost solemnity.
It's been four years.
He still found her.
Lu Zhiwei remained seated in the car, unmoved.
The driver was so frightened that he opened the car door and was forcibly pulled out of the car.
The bodyguard ripped open the back door of the car.
Luo Xiu braced himself against the top of the car door with one hand, his tall frame bending down to peek his head in from outside the door. His eyes were filled with an overwhelming tenderness, as if they could drown a person in it.
"Long time no see, Zhizhi."
That "Zhi Zhi" was extremely gentle, and the voice had a seductive quality.
The bodyguards behind him had never seen their young master speak to any woman so gently.
Lu Zhiwei turned her face away, looked out the window, and sighed.
She really underestimated Luo Xiu's influence in the United States.

Luo Xiu smiled without saying a word; Lu Zhiwei always managed to hurt his most sensitive pride.
If it were someone else, he might have shot them in a fit of rage.

“The Luo Xiu of the past is dead. He died the moment he stepped into the Luo family.” Luo Xiu pursed his thin lips. “Alright, we haven’t seen each other for so long, I don’t want to talk about these unpleasant memories. I’ll treat you to dinner.”
"I refuse."
Lu Zhiwei refused his invitation without saying a word.
"I refuse your refusal."
"..." Lu Zhiwei.
The car started, and the driver took them to the most famous Western restaurant in the area, as instructed.
It was the busiest time of day for meals, but Luo Xiu had the place cleared out before he arrived, leaving only one seat in the huge restaurant.
The long dining table was covered with a white tablecloth. Luo Xiu knew her preferences well, so he didn't even give her a menu, but served a bunch of her favorite dishes, filling the entire table to the brim.
The two people sat facing each other, but were nearly two meters apart.
Luo Xiu did not like this distance.
He had someone move his dining chair and tableware next to Lu Zhiwei.
"Young Master Luo has been in the Luo family for so many years, and you still haven't learned table manners?" Lu Zhiwei scolded him with a smile.
Luo Xiu wasn't annoyed. He cut the steak into neat squares and then moved the plate to Lu Zhiwei's side. "There's no need to follow these silly rules in front of you. I just want to be closer to you. It's been over seven years. We haven't had a proper meal together like this in seven years."
From the time he was taken back by the Luo family until today.
