Lu Anyu paced back and forth anxiously outside the gate, worried that Uncle Chen had already returned with the water.
With a creak, the ornate iron gate opened.
Jiang Jingyu looked at the child in front of her.
With clear eyes, a soft, tender face, and a straight nose, she was young, but her features already had a deep and defined look. She did look quite similar to her son, Shen Jinmo, when he was a child.
"Little child, are you really my Mo'er's child?"
"Hello, Auntie." Lu Anyu bowed and greeted her, his polite demeanor revealing his good upbringing.
"Don't call me Auntie, call me Grandma." Jiang Jingyu was overjoyed to be addressed that way.
He's much more likable than that mute brat Shen Jiarui brought back yesterday.
Lu Anyu shook his head. "There's no such thing as a grandmother that young."
"But I'm your father's mother, who else is I but your grandmother?"
Jiang Jingyu took Lu Anyu's small hand: "Quickly, don't just stand there, come inside with me."
Back in the living room.
Lu Anyu looked around curiously.
The Shen family's strength is actually no less than the Lu family's.
It seems that Uncle Shen and Mommy were financially well-matched back then; the problem lay with Uncle Shen's character.
Jiang Jingyu had the servants prepare fruits and snacks to treat Lu Anyu well.
The butler, looking at the child who had suddenly come to visit, felt uneasy and kindly reminded Jiang Jingyu, "Madam, this is probably a fraud. The young master has been in a coma for so many years. Who could have fathered such a big child? This is nonsense."
Jiang Jingyu had been lonely for a long time and just wanted a grandson to keep her company.
It's better to be wrongly believed than to miss out.
"Didn't I prepare seeds for his hospital back then? Someone with ulterior motives insisted on having a child for my son, so why is it impossible?"
Jiang Jingyu pinched Lu Anyu's soft cheeks and couldn't stop smiling.
Lu Anyu touched his reddened face and said, "Grandma, if you keep pinching me, An'an will swell up into a big fatso."
Jiang Jingyu quickly let go of his hand, bent down and blew on it: "Grandma won't pinch you anymore, my grandson is in pain. Your name is An'an, right? What's your full name?"
“Lu…An…Yu.” Lu An Yu gave his full name.
Upon hearing the name Lu, Jiang Jingyu's body seemed to react with stress.
"Why is such a good child surnamed Lu? Change it back to Chen."
“That won’t do. I have to take my mom’s surname,” Lu Anyu said firmly.
He just wants to have a father, but that doesn't mean he wants to live with his father or take his father's surname.
He will always be Mommy's little baby.
"Then who is your mother?" Jiang Jingyu asked symbolically.
Once she had this basic information, she could arrange for a DNA test to determine the child's parentage.
“My mommy’s name is Lu Zhiwei,” Lu Anyu said in a clear voice.
Jiang Jingyu was peeling pomegranates for Lu Anyu.
When I heard the name Lu Zhiwei.
Jiang Jingyu froze on the spot, her skin cracking.
The pomegranate in her hand fell to the ground, and the look in her eyes when she looked at Lu Anyu was no longer kind and happy, but instead contained a hint of disgust.
"What a disappointment."
Jiang Jingyu stood up from the sofa in displeasure. "Someone, throw this child out."
Lu Anyu was a lovable child.
No one has ever treated him so badly.
Especially the way the grandmother's expression changed from one of disgust to one of deep hurt the little guy's heart.
She hates herself because of her mother.
Therefore, their family must treat Mommy very badly.
"Grandma, why did you throw An'an out? I want to see Daddy." Lu An'yu refused to leave and stubbornly rushed up to grab Jiang Jingyu's clothes.
Jiang Jingyu disdainfully shook him off: "Get out of here! Who's your father? How could my son possibly be your father?"
Your mother aborted my son's child back then, and then set up some kind of Zhuolou orphanage.
"You were adopted from an orphanage, an orphan picked up from the street, and you think you can be my grandson? Dream on!"
The bodyguards who rushed over grabbed Lu Anyu, who was lying face down on the carpet.
Lu Anyu's small body curled up into a ball, as if his soul had been instantly ripped away.
No.
impossible.
This grandma is a bad person.
She's definitely lying to him.
How could he not be born to a mother? How could he be an orphan picked up from the roadside?
Unable to accept this fact, Lu Anyu allowed the Shen family to drag him out of the Shen family's gate.
"Let him go."
A cold, sharp voice came from the front door.
Wearing a suit and carrying a black suitcase, Shen Jinmo returned from the United States.
Jiang Jingyu, who hadn't seen her son for many years, thought she was hallucinating.
Seeing her son in the yard, she stumbled out and cried, "Son, you're back?"
Shen Jinmo ignored Jiang Jingyu.
He took Lu Anyu from the bodyguard and held him in his arms.
The little guy covered his face, and a tear rolled down his cheek.
This was the first time Shen Jinmo had seen Lu Anyu like this.
From the first moment he saw this brat, he was lively and sunny, just like a blade of grass that could not be blown down by the wind or beaten down by the rain, resilient and strong.
“This is not the Lu Anyu I know.” Shen Jingmo called out to him in a deep voice.
With tears streaming down his face, Lu Anyu had no time to care about his appearance.
"Waaaaah..." she cried even louder.
Shen Jinmo had no choice but to carry him into the hall.
Jiang Jingyu reached out and blocked his way: "Mo'er, you are not allowed to bring him into the house. He is Lu Zhiwei's son."
Shen Jinmo's cold gaze swept across Jiang Jingyu's face.
