Chapter 333 Farewell

Even at a young age, Mizuki had witnessed such brutal and bloody rhetoric at the Luo family home.

But when all of this happened to him...

The little guy was tense all over, wanting to turn around and run away.

Unfortunately, he hadn't taken two steps when someone grabbed him by the collar from behind and lifted him up.

He was thrown into a dark, enclosed room.

There were no lights, no people, and no objects.

There was only a cold floor.

Ruixi lay on the ground, terrified.

He wanted Uncle Luo, he wanted Aunt Lu, and he wanted to go home.

But no matter how much he cried or made a scene, no one paid any attention to him, and no one came to open the door.

After a while, Mizuki stopped crying.

He couldn't cry, because tears would ruin his makeup and reveal that he wasn't An'an's brother.

Maybe they'll bring the real An'an brother here.

The little one wiped away the tears on his face and sat quietly against the wall.

I don't know how much time passed.

The door opened, and blinding light shone in.

He covered his eyes, and it took him a long time to adjust to the intensity of the light.

Two bodyguards came in.

They were holding a gleaming knife in their hands.

Mizuki instinctively shrank back.

"Kid, which organ do you think should be cut off on the first day?" The bodyguard asked the terrified boy with a mocking look.

"Rumor has it that Lu Zhiwei is incredibly audacious, but her son is nothing special. Look at him, he's almost scared to death." Another bodyguard laughed loudly.

Laughter echoed in the empty room.

"I'm not afraid. Go ahead and cut me if you want." Mizuki straightened her chest and gritted her teeth, telling herself not to be afraid.

"You little brat, you've got some backbone. Well then, we won't hold back." With that, the man raised the knife in his hand.

Another man grabbed his finger.

"No!" Mizuki struggled and shouted.

His hands are meant for drawing, for getting perfect scores.

He wanted to gain Uncle Luo's approval.

What will he do if he loses his finger?

"Please, Uncle, don't cut my finger, please, please, sob sob..." Mizuki cried and begged.

The two bodyguards remained unmoved.

With a swift and decisive stroke, the knife fell swiftly and cleanly.

The imagined excruciating pain did not come.

The little guy opened his eyes.

The bodyguard had an extra fingernail in his hand.

They didn't cut his fingers, but they cut off his nails.

"Don't feel lucky, little guy. If Lu Zhiwei hadn't come to her death, it would have been your finger that got cut off tomorrow."

The bodyguard took his fingernails and left.

The door closed again.

Mizuki clutched her fingernails, which had lost their nails, curled up in a ball, and her heart pounded wildly.

When Lu Zhiwei received that piece of nail, she could no longer remain calm.

According to the phone number left on the envelope containing the nails.

Lu Zhiwei quickly made a phone call.

"Who exactly are you? If you have the guts, come at me, Lu Zhiwei. What kind of skill is it to deal with a child?"

“Indeed, the person we need to deal with is you. Come here alone first thing tomorrow morning.”

The other party left an address.

This address turned out to be a cemetery.

Lu Zhiwei seemed to have already guessed who the other party was.

She calmly put down the phone, leaving the envelope and the piece of her fingernail on the table, then took out a notebook and a ballpoint pen from the drawer.

She lowered her head and carefully wrote a passage in her notebook.

Her handwriting is neat and elegant, just like her.

It filled a whole page.

Lu Zhiwei put down her pen, pressed it onto the paper, got up, grabbed her car keys, and left the Lu family villa.

She drove to the Su family villa.

The car stopped in front of the villa, and the butler was asked to fetch Ruixi.

Upon hearing that Lu Zhiwei had arrived, Su Ziheng requested to see his son privately.

Lu Ziheng, who was extremely vigilant, followed Ruixi out.

"How come you have time to see my son? You haven't been bribed by Luo Xiu again, have you? You want to take my son back to the United States?" Su Ziheng looked at her with hostility.

Lu Anyu, who was pampered and treated like a little emperor at the Su family's house, was overjoyed to see his mother.

He rushed into her arms and hugged her tightly, crying, "Mommy."

"What did you call her? Mommy?" Su Ziheng asked in shock.

Lu Anyu turned around and scolded Su Ziheng: "I want to acknowledge Aunt Lu as my mommy, is that not allowed?"

"Alright, alright, son, whatever makes you happy. Just because you want her to be your mommy doesn't mean I can marry her," Su Ziheng said with an awkward laugh.

How could a strong and assertive woman like Lu Zhiwei possibly be interested in him?

"Can I be alone with him for a while?" Lu Zhiwei asked Su Ziheng.

Su Ziheng was able to welcome his son back, thanks in part to Lu Zhiwei's efforts. He didn't hold her accountable for his past actions, nodded, and went back to his room for the time being.

Only the mother and son remained in the courtyard. Lu Zhiwei ruffled Lu Anyu's hair and said, "Son, Mommy has to do something. I don't know when I'll be back. Will you stay at the Su family home obediently?"

"What if I give myself away before Mommy comes back? That Uncle Su will definitely want to kill me." Lu Anyu's worry was barely concealed.

His face won't last much longer; the day it's exposed will come eventually.

"Then you should run back to Uncle Shen's house and let him protect you."

"Mommy, what are you going to do? Can you take An'an with you? I want to go on an adventure with you." Lu An's eyes were filled with longing.

Lu Zhiwei pressed her forehead against Lu Anyu's: "Okay, next time, I'll definitely take you on an adventure next time."
