Even with his agility, the young Lu Anyu was no match for the two bodyguards.
He was caught immediately.
The bodyguard pressed down on his forearm, turned him over, and pinned him against the glass wall.
"No! I'm not Ruixi, I'm An'an! If you dare touch me, you're dead!" Lu An'yu stopped pretending at this moment.
Since Mizuki's brother had already been rescued, he decided to lay his cards on the table.
The family doctor seemed not to hear him at all.
Even though he had already recognized Lu Anyu's voice.
Without hesitation, he injected the medicine into Lu Anyu's arm through a syringe.
A sharp pain struck.
Lu Anyu screamed and pushed away the bodyguard who was holding him down.
He clutched his aching arm and rolled on the ground.
Not long after, a bunch of red spots appeared on Lu Anyu's body.
Blood started flowing from my nose.
The bodyguards behind him were so frightened by the scene that they dared not utter a sound and retreated repeatedly.
They can now see with their own eyes how toxic and terrifying this medicine is.
The family doctor put away the syringes, tidied up the medical kit, and had the bodyguard lock the door and escort him away as quickly as possible.
Lu Anyu, who was lying on the ground, struggled to get up by supporting himself on the floor.
The pain in my body is getting more and more intense.
He finally lost his strength and collapsed back onto the cold ground, losing consciousness.
As Lu Zhiwei drove into the city, she suddenly felt a pang of heart palpitation and a sharp pain in her heart.
She turned the steering wheel too much and almost drove onto the curb.
Lu Zhiwei parked her car on the side of the road, took out her phone from her pocket, and wanted to call Luo Wuyan to ask if Lu Anyu had arrived home safely.
I just took my phone out.
Several black cars drove up from all directions and surrounded her.
Lu Zhiwei put down her phone, gripped the steering wheel tightly, and stared sharply ahead.
Black-clad bodyguards rushed out of the black car, each holding a black gun, and aimed it at her vehicle.
Finally, a man in a suit got out of the black car.
The man was wearing a black hat and looked to be of high status.
As the person approached, he knocked on Lu Zhiwei's car window.
Lu Zhiwei saw the other person's face clearly.
It's Governor Pritt.
Lu Zhiwei calmly lowered the car window.
“Miss Lu, please come with me. My daughter wants to see you.”
"Is it your daughter who wants to see me, or does the governor have other plans?" Lu Zhiwei smiled sneer.
She knew perfectly well that this was not an invitation, but a kidnapping.
It's likely that the governor wanted to avenge his daughter Yuri's birthday and wanted to use her as leverage to force Ross to come and apologize.
"Miss Lu, you can interpret it however you like. Get out of the car." The governor's tone was forceful.
Lu Zhiwei sat quietly in the car, pondering how to escape.
A black Maybach sped towards them from afar and stopped opposite them.
Shen Jinmo appeared, dressed in a black trench coat.
He came against the light of the night, his tall and aloof figure exuding elegance and nobility.
Lu Zhiwei was very surprised.
Why is he here?
“Governor, I’ve been looking for you for ages.” Shen Jingmo glanced at Lu Zhiwei out of the corner of his eye, then went over to hand Prit a cigarette.
"Mr. Shen, is there something you need?" The governor refused Shen Jinmo's cigarette and looked at him coldly.
The expression on his face seemed to indicate that he was annoyed by his arrival, as it was interfering with his business.
“I’ve arranged to meet with the vice governor to discuss this year’s charity project and how the Shen family can contribute,” Shen Jinmo said, pointing to the back seat of his car.
Governor Pritt's sharp gaze swept over the person sitting in the back seat, and it was indeed the lieutenant governor.
The man who had always been ambitious and wanted to oust him from the governorship and take his place.
If he makes a mistake, he will surely be able to find fault with it.
The governor gave Lu Zhiwei a fierce look. "Miss Lu is really popular. All these men are flocking around you."
His daughter, however, suffered such abuse at her birthday party.
"Governor, you've misunderstood. I really came here today to discuss work with you. This has nothing to do with Miss Lu." Shen Jinmo pretended to be clueless.
The governor couldn't bring himself to expose it any further.
He immediately ordered his men to put away their guns. "President Shen, it's so late and you're still working. How could I refuse you? Let's go."
"Okay." Shen Jinmo nodded and gestured for him to proceed.
The governor snorted and walked ahead.
Shen Jinmo turned around and followed, giving Lu Zhiwei a deep look before returning to his car.
The long line of cars departed one after another.
Lu Zhiwei was relieved.
They quickly started the car and sped back.
The car had just entered the courtyard.
Luo Wuyan rushed out of her house in a flurry: "You're finally back. Weiwei, oh no. I mistook you for someone else. The person I brought back from the Luo family is Ruixi, not An'an."
"What?" Lu Zhiwei was stunned and stood there in shock as soon as she got out of the car.
"I don't know who painted their faces. I was in a hurry and didn't notice for a moment. I only found out when I brought them back that it was Ruixi I brought back, and An'an who was still locked up in the Luo family."
Lu Zhiwei strode into the room.
On the bed in the room, the little boy lay quietly, an IV drip of fever-reducing medicine on the back of his hand.
Luo Wuyan removed his disguise, confirming that he was indeed Ruixi.
"I still have to go back to the Luo family." Lu Zhiwei barely stopped.
He hurried back to the courtyard, opened the car door, and started the car again, preparing to rush back to the Luo family manor.
“Take me with you. Mizuki can be taken care of by your maid.”
