Shen Jinmo's gaze swept intently over "Luo Xiu" standing next to Luo Wuyan.
This person's eyes were shifty, his aura was weak, and he exuded an air of forced authority.
I don't know where Luo Wuyan found the extras; their acting skills were subpar.
Several bodyguards shoved Shen Jinmo and Lu Anyu, urging them to leave quickly.
I walked out of the hall and into the courtyard.
Luo Wuyan walked extremely fast, her heart pounding like a drum, afraid that her secret would be exposed.
Lu Anyu was carried into the car by Shen Jinmo.
The head of the bodyguards called out to "Luo Xiu," who was about to get into the car together.
"Young Master, where are you moving them to? Do you need us to escort them?"
"No need, we can deliver it ourselves," Luo Wuyan declined the bodyguard's suggestion.
"Young Master, I would like to hear your opinion."
As expected of a leader who is the head of the bodyguards, his alertness and perceptiveness are higher than those of ordinary bodyguards.
Luo Wuyan held her breath, adopted the demeanor of a superior, and said in a cold tone, "Since when did it become your place as a servant to interfere in your master's affairs?"
"I'm sorry, miss, I'm just doing this as a precaution..."
The bodyguard lowered his head and took out his phone to call Luo Xiu.
If the man's phone doesn't ring, it proves his suspicions were correct.
"Drive quickly, let's go." Luo Wuyan snatched the bodyguard's phone and ordered the fake Luo Xiu to get in the car and drive out of the yard.
"This young master is an imposter. Close the door and don't let them leave," the bodyguard ordered.
All the bodyguards in the courtyard surrounded them.
The carved door slammed shut.
More than a dozen dark gun barrels were pointed at Luo Wuyan.
The car was already stuck before it could even start.
Lu Anyu gripped Shen Jingmo's hand tightly: "Father, will we be taken back?"
Shen Jinmo grasped Lu Anyu's soft, small hand and told him firmly, "No."
He would protect him even at the cost of his life.
Push the car door open from the other side.
Shen Jinmo carried Lu Anyu out of the car.
"Trying to run? Shoot them! The young master said it's better to kill the innocent than let them escape."
The bodyguard leader bit his lip as he issued orders.
The gun in his hand was pointed at Shen Jinmo's back.
"If you want to kill them, try killing me first." Luo Wuyan grabbed the bodyguard leader's gun and pointed it at his own head.
"Miss, please don't make things difficult for me."
The bodyguard looked dejected, unsure whether to fire or not.
Shen Jinmo carried Lu Anyu and ran quickly to the foot of the wall, lifting Lu Anyu onto his shoulders: "Quick, climb out using Uncle Shen's shoulders. There's a tree over there, jump onto it and slide down, then try to contact your mommy."
“You’re not Uncle Shen, you’re my dad. My real dad.” Lu Anyu refused to call him Uncle Shen anymore.
“I am not your father.” Shen Jingmo denied this identity and insisted on lifting Lu Anyu onto the wall.
The bodyguards behind him pointed their guns at Lu Anyu, who had climbed onto the wall.
"Don't fire, or you're all dead. That's Lu Zhiwei's son," Luo Wuyan's sharp voice urgently ordered the bodyguards present.
The bodyguards hesitated, unsure of what to do.
“Shoot that guy surnamed Shen. If he dies, the young master won’t blame us.”
The bodyguard leader ordered everyone to turn their guns on Shen Jinmo, who was standing in the corner.
In fact, Shen Jinmo had no intention of escaping with Lu Anyu.
"Hurry up and go," Shen Jinmo ordered Lu Anyu sternly.
"Daddy, climb up quickly, let's go together."
"If you don't leave now, none of us will be able to leave. Be good, listen to me. I know you are a smart and brave child, and you won't be a burden to anyone."
Lu Anyu took Shen Jinmo's words to heart.
His mother taught him the same way.
A real man should be brave; even if he can't become a superhero, he shouldn't be a burden.
The little guy climbed up the wall, jumped onto a big tree outside the wall, and slid down the trunk.
"Open the door, go after him." The head of the bodyguards sent a group of people to chase after Lu Anyu.
Shen Jinmo's tall figure blocked their way, like a towering mountain, solid and upright, unmoving.
"Do you really think we wouldn't dare kill you?" Enraged, the bodyguards pointed their guns at Shen Jingmo's body one by one.
Luo Wuyan covered her face, unable to bear watching this scene.
If all the guns fired at the same time, Shen Jinmo would definitely be riddled with bullets.
It's horrible to even think about.
Instead of the deafening gunshots, Luo Wuyan was startled by a loud crash as a door collapsed.
The international special police officers, who were holding cutting tools, put them away, drew their pistols, and surrounded the entire villa.
The situation took a sharp turn for the worse, and the armed bodyguards had no choice but to grit their teeth, lower their guns, and surrender.
Walking behind the police was Lu Zhiwei, who had returned from Europe.
She was holding her son, Lu Anyu, in her arms.
After escaping, Lu Anyu ran wildly towards the highway to fetch reinforcements to save his father.
Who knew that around the corner we would run into Mommy's car, with lots and lots of police officers in it.
The bodyguards who were chasing him were all subdued by the police and put into police cars.
Shen Jinmo originally planned to use clever words and flattery to deal with the group of bodyguards and find a way to survive.
At that moment, Lu Zhiwei appeared like a savior descending from the heavens.
It appeared at just the right time.
Shen Jinmo's dark eyes stared intently at Lu Zhiwei as she walked towards him.
When Luo Wuyan saw that Lu Zhiwei had returned, she burst into tears of joy.
He rushed over and put his arm around Lu Zhiwei's shoulder: "You've finally arrived."
Squeezed between the two, Lu Anyu forced his head out from their embrace: "Aunt Luo, let An'an catch her breath. I want to live a little longer."
Luo Wuyan then wiped away her tears and released Lu Zhiwei.
Lu Zhiwei tossed Lu Anyu, whom she was holding, into Luo Wuyan's arms: "Hold An'an for me for a while."
Then, Lu Zhiwei walked gracefully to Shen Jinmo's side, stood in front of him, and stared at him intently.
Feeling uncomfortable under his gaze, Shen Jinmo quietly hid his bullet-wounded arm behind his back: "Since An'an is alright, I'll head back now."
He silently turned around and walked past Lu Zhiwei, intending to leave.
Lu Zhiwei suddenly called out to him, "Why are you pretending to have amnesia? I didn't realize you had the potential to be a movie star."
Shen Jinmo turned his back to Lu Zhiwei, unable to face her.
"You knew all along?"
"You took my son's sample for a paternity test without my consent? Did you even ask for my opinion?" Lu Zhiwei reprimanded him sternly.
"I'm sorry," Shen Jinmo said, bowing his head in apology.
Looking at his humble demeanor, Lu Zhiwei saw no trace of his former arrogant and spirited self.
"Answer my question!" Lu Zhiwei growled.
“Because our memories are a disgrace and a burden to you. I don’t want to cause you any more burden,” Shen Jinmo said hoarsely, her head bowed.
Lu Zhiwei froze, feeling as if a thin thread was binding her heart, tightening it more and more.
