The back door opened, and the bodyguard helped Steven, who had injured his leg, out of the car.
When Eisen saw Steven, he was secretly delighted, thinking that President Luo was really not going to be able to leave this time.
"Where's Old Man Luo? Get him out here." Steven took the cane from the car from the bodyguard, leaned on it with one hand, and walked towards the old house's hall with an imposing aura.
Eisen hurriedly called someone to greet Steven: "The old man is seriously ill and has been sent to the hospital for treatment. Mr. Steven, if you need anything, please feel free to contact our CEO Luo. He is now in full charge of the Luo family's affairs."
After saying that, Eisen quickened his pace to call Luo Xiu back.
Upon learning that Steven had come to cause trouble, Luo Xiu was speechless with anger and had no choice but to temporarily abandon his plan to go to the island to see Lu Zhiwei.
He returned to the lobby to greet Steven.
"I thought something had happened to you. I'm glad you're alright." Luo Xiu sat down in the main seat, asserting his authority.
Steven's sharp eyes scrutinized Luo Xiu. That sofa was usually where the old man sat, and no one in the Luo family dared to touch it.
Now, however, he naturally and boldly sat down on it.
"Where did you take the old man? I was looking for him to settle the score with. I almost died in that explosion," Steven recounted his humiliation, his emotions running high.
“He’s practically dead now. I’ve said it before, I’ll be the real head of the Luo family soon. You won’t lose out by cooperating with me.” Luo Xiu leaned back lazily on the sofa, exuding the authority of a superior.
Steven had already heard rumors on his way here.
Luo Xiu has now taken full control of the Luo family's affairs.
Forming an alliance with him was the right choice.
“The old man betrayed me first, so don’t blame me for being ruthless. Now that President Luo has gotten what you wanted, when will you give me what I want?” Steven’s shrewd eyes were fixed on Luo Xiu.
Luo Xiu had someone pour tea for Steven, his smile unfathomable: "What's the rush? You'll get yours too!"

Steven held the teacup in his hand, squeezing the small cup in his palm as if he might accidentally break it.
“I want what I deserve. Your sister’s dowry is hers to keep. If our marriage falls apart, it won’t go to me either. Is Mr. Luo joking with me?” Steven’s anger was now uncontrollable.
"Besides, her surname is Luo, so these shares will always belong to the Luo family. Mr. Luo, you really aren't losing out at all."
"Then I wish you and my sister a long and happy life together, and what belongs to her is yours." A sinister glint flashed in Luo Xiu's deep blue eyes.
He was threatening Steven to quit while he was ahead, or he wouldn't get anything.
Steven was amused by Luo Xiu's shrewd calculations: "Fine, since we're in the same boat, and I've married Luo Wuyan, I'm practically a member of the Luo family. We'll share both glory and loss. I wish us a pleasant cooperation."
"Alright, you haven't met my sister yet, have you? I'll have someone invite her over right away. You two can spend some time together and get to know each other better."
Luo Xiu gave the butler a wink, signaling him to go upstairs and fetch someone.
After returning from Yunzhou, Luo Wuyan was placed under house arrest at the Luo family's old residence and could not go anywhere.
All that awaited her was one thing: to obediently wait to become Steven's bride.
The butler led two servants to the room.
Seeing Luo Wuyan with her hair disheveled, wearing only a nightgown, unkempt, and with paint all over her hands and face.
The room was full of her discarded drawings.
"Quickly, help Miss change her clothes and do her makeup." The butler immediately instructed two servants to help Luo Wuyan with her dressing up.
The paintbrush in Luo Wuyan's hand was snatched away.
She was manipulated by them like a mechanical doll.
The maid changed her into a plain white spring dress, her hair fell over her shoulders, and she wore light makeup.
She looks fresh and lovely.
She was presented to Steven like a beautiful gift.
She descended the spiral staircase with graceful steps.
Her light golden hair and bright blue eyes, along with her striking yet gentle features, immediately caught Steven's attention.
He seemed to have forgotten his leg injury and suddenly stood up from the sofa.
Luo Wuyan walked step by step into the living room.
Luo Xiu pulled Luo Wuyan's wrist and brought her in front of Steven: "This is my sister, Yan'er. Get along well with Mr. Steven."
"What time is it? What's the point of hanging out so late at night?" Luo Wuyan glared at Luo Xiu impatiently.
“I don’t mind. It’s easier to get along with her at night.” Steven looked at Luo Wuyan with a gleam in his eyes.
"How do you mean we should get along? By sleeping together?" Luo Wuyan retorted coldly.
He looked at Steven with disdain.
This Steven was worse than she had imagined.
Not only is it old-fashioned, but it's also rough, careless, and greasy.
“If Miss Luo is willing, I can do it. I only have a minor leg injury, nothing else,” Steven said bluntly.
The vulgar and obscene words caused Luo Wuyan physical discomfort.

He slapped Steven hard across the face.
Steven was caught off guard by the attack.
Luo Xiu grabbed Luo Wuyan's wrist: "Why did you hit her on our first meeting?"
"I have violent tendencies myself," Luo Wuyan deliberately downplayed her own abilities.
