"Okay." Luo Wuyan wiped away her tears, stood next to Shen Jinmo and Lu Anyu, and handed over the main stage of the exchange meeting to Lu Zhiwei.
The second half is the battleground between Lu Zhiwei and Luo Xiu, which is the biggest highlight of today's exchange conference.
Lu Zhiwei glanced back at Lu Anyu, Luo Wuyan, and Shen Jinmo. After a brief exchange of glances, she prepared to go on stage: "I'm going now."
"Go for it, Weiwei," Luo Wuyan cheered her on.
"Mommy, you're the best! Defeat this big bad guy!" Lu Anyu said with great enthusiasm.
Only Shen Jinmo watched her quietly, his dark eyes filled with complex emotions—encouragement and worry, indescribable and inexplicable.
Finally, his thin lips moved, as if he had said something.
Lu Zhiwei, however, seemed to have been silenced and did not hear what he said.
Damn, is this virus already attacking her hearing?
Lu Zhiwei shook her head and walked through the crowd onto the stage.
He took the microphone from the microphone stand and faced all the painters and members of the art association present.
Lu Zhiwei solemnly stated, "Next up is a competition between me and Luo Xiu. I will decide the format and theme of the competition. Does Mr. Luo have any objections?"
Luo Xiu, sitting in the audience, crossed his arms and gazed affectionately at the beautiful and radiant Lu Zhiwei on stage. He answered her firmly, "Of course, no problem. Today is your day."
Anyway, he has already accomplished what he needed to do.
Once the conference ended and the artists left, they would spread throughout the world, triggering a massive outbreak of the virus.
If Rockwell develops a vaccine, it will become the savior of the world.
What he wanted was naturally within his grasp.
As for the glamour of the event, he was willing to offer it all to Lu Zhiwei.
"Okay, today I don't want to draw any world-famous paintings that will go down in history. I want to draw comics with Mr. Luo and introduce our story to everyone through storytelling."
Lu Zhiwei had already decided on the theme for her painting.
Upon hearing this theme, Luo Xiu's interest was piqued, and his eyes filled with joy: "Okay, I'll draw this."
He wanted the whole world to know about his story with Lu Zhiwei even more than Lu Zhiwei did.
"You go first," Lu Zhiwei said, giving Luo Xiu the chance to paint first.
Because comics require time to interpret, it's impossible for both parties to draw simultaneously, as the audience wouldn't be able to keep up.
You can only see one person at a time.
Luo Xiu followed Lu Zhiwei's wishes and went on stage first.
So he sat down at the computer and picked up the graphics tablet.
Comics tell stories in a way that requires a huge amount of drawing, which is both time-consuming and physically demanding.
It tests the artist's drawing skills, speed, and narrative ability.
Luo Xiu first drew two character designs on the graphics tablet.
One is a portrait of himself, and the other is Lu Zhiwei.
His figure paintings are exquisite and possess a cool and aloof quality, with his eyebrows and eyes being exceptionally well-constructed.
After finishing the character design drawings, he began working on the first drawing.
The first image is based on a street in country M.
On the snow-covered streets, pedestrians hurried by, and a girl kneeling on the ground, wearing only thin clothes, had her nose turned red from the cold wind.
Beside her kneeling feet was a broken begging bowl.
The girl lowered her eyes and made a pleading gesture with her hands.
"Is this President Lu when she was a child? She's begging."
"They look so pitiful."
The audience immediately followed Luo Xiu into his storyline.
Switch to the next cell.
In the corner of the high wall stood a tall, thin boy with blue eyes.
The boy crouched in the corner, peeking at the girl begging on the ground.
The boy's eyes were filled with sympathy.
And it was full of deep affection.
The painters who were looking at the painting were captivated by the young Roche.
"So young and already has a crush on Chairman Lu? Hahaha, President Luo is truly a devoted lover."
Lu Zhiwei, like all the other artists, was watching Luo Xiu paint intently.
She knew about the begging part, but she didn't know that Luo Xiu was watching her from the corner at that time.
The screen switches to the next frame.
Two thugs appeared, plotting something in the corner.
Luo Xiu added a dialogue between two thugs and typed it into the comic.
"This little beggar is quite pretty. How about we drag her into the alley and play with her?"
"That's a good idea."
The thugs seized the opportunity to approach Lu Zhiwei during her teenage years.
Before he could take two steps, he was tripped and fell to the ground by the young Luo Xiu.
He then dragged the two men, one in each hand, into the alley.
They punched and kicked them.
Young Luo Xiu was thin and weak, and no match for the two men. He initially had the upper hand, but was quickly defeated and beaten half to death by the two thugs, leaving him covered in injuries.
He lay on the ground like a wounded stray dog, but he never dared to crawl out of the corner and let Lu Zhiwei see him covered in blood.
The boy protected the girl.
But the girl didn't know that.
Like all the artists and viewers, Lu Zhiwei was also moved by this scene.
She truly didn't know that Luo Xiu had secretly protected her.
Luo Xiu then switched to a completely new scene.
"The boy and girl later became friends. They hung out together on the street, apprenticed under a master, learned to draw, and spent several happy years together."
As Luo Xiu drew, he narrated the progress of the story.
The story has reached its most exciting part.
Luo Xiu painted Old Master Luo getting out of a black luxury car.
The incomparably noble patriarch of the Luo family stood in stark contrast to Luo Xiu, who was covered in dirt and disheveled.
