Headline #015: Where do you place the dignity of family?
While Bai Zixuan's family was denouncing Gu Mingxia and her father at Qingfeng Pavilion, Gu Mingxia had already driven to Waiting Bar.
"Oh, so you finally decided to come see me!"
Liu Yan was flirting with the handsome bartender when she saw Gu Mingxia. She waved for him to leave and then casually leaned against the bar, watching her with a smile.
"I've been a bit busy these past few days, but now that I'm done, I thought I'd come see you."
Gu Mingxia found a quiet spot to sit down. Liu Yan instructed the waiter to bring drinks and then swayed her hips as she sat down next to Gu Mingxia.
"How about it? Isn't it incredibly sweet and exciting to see your ex-lover again?"
Liu Yan took a sip of her Margarita and winked at her ambiguously.
Ignoring her, Gu Mingxia picked up the glass of cold water in front of her and took a few sips. When she put the glass down, she smiled at her.
"Liu Yan, your joke isn't funny at all!"
She and Xiao Yan were indeed very close seven years ago, but those were all things from seven years ago, and no one knows what Xiao Yan really means now.
"Who's kidding you! Seriously, tell me, when you saw Xiao Yan, were you especially excited, and did you really want to drag him to bed and have a good sleep with him?"
Liu Yan's words left Gu Mingxia both amused and exasperated. What on earth was she thinking? Facing Liu Yan's sparkling eyes, Gu Mingxia once again proved that having a gossipy best friend was truly a nightmare!
She deeply regretted coming to Waiting Bar. She reached out and ruffled Liu Yan's hair, then leaned back in her chair and let out a long sigh.
"Liu Yan, I'm so tired. Can't you just let me have some peace and quiet?"
Knowing that she had just come from the Bai family, Liu Yan smiled sympathetically, stood up, and patted her on the shoulder.
"As your friend, I really sympathize with you! But I'm really curious about you and Xiao Yan... Okay, okay, I'm not going to say anything more. You sit down for a while, I have to go!"
After watching Liu Yan leave, Gu Mingxia leaned back in her chair and dozed off for a while. Seeing Liu Yan bustling about in the crowd, she quietly left with her handbag.
Back at the hotel, she took a shower and went to sleep quickly.
The next day, Gu Mingxia was woken up by a phone call while she was still asleep.
After the call connected, Gu Huaikun's perpetually cold voice came from the other end.
"Gu Mingxia, every newspaper and magazine is now filled with your scandals. What has this done to the Gu family's reputation? Get back here right now, or I'll have your mother and Gu Mingdong's ashes scattered at sea!"
Looking at the phone that had been hung up on, Gu Mingxia rubbed her head, puzzled, and asked the receptionist to bring her today's newspaper.
When she opened the door to get the newspaper, the clerk gave her a strange look. Puzzled, Gu Mingxia took the newspaper, sat on the bed, and opened it. Sure enough, the front page featured her photo; although her face was blurred, she recognized herself immediately!

"Shit!" Gu Mingxia cursed, throwing down the newspaper and starting to change her clothes. Bai Zixuan was truly shameless, actually bribing the newspaper to smear her like this! Smearing Gu's father, how could Gu's father, who always cared about his reputation, bear this?
