She's so eager to do all this work, so let her be.
And she didn't even have to do anything.
She walked out of Mutian Pavilion with the silver in her hand, and saw Su Yu smiling at her with narrowed eyes.
"That's long enough, let's go."
Mu Wanting first purchased the items on the Shen family's list. Most of them were medicinal herbs that Shen Xinglan needed, the rest were mostly food, a small amount of fabric, and some urgently needed daily necessities.
Mu Wanting bought a little bit of everything and packed it in a large package so that it wouldn't arouse suspicion when she took it out later.
Su Yu smiled and reminded them, "The Mu family, the rainy season is coming soon."
Mu Wanting thanked her and bought dozens more durable umbrellas, which she could easily sell to others.
She had originally planned to buy a raincoat, but raincoats are too bulky and have only one use. So she bought oilcloth instead, which would be just right to be cut to the size of a raincoat, and could even be used to make a tent.
Su Yu couldn't help but laugh.
"You're really something. How are we, the officers, supposed to make extra money if you do this?"
She knew Su Yu was reminding her.
"I'll sell after all the officials have sold theirs."
Su Yu's smile deepened.
When it was time to get on the carriage, Mu Wanting slipped fifty taels of silver to Su Yu.
"Thank you for your hard work on this journey."
Su Yu ate a sugar figurine, his lips stained bright red, and he looked listless.
"I don't need your money. You'd better buy some more supplies for yourself."
Mu Wanting then exchanged the silver for pastries and stuffed them into Su Yu's arms, since she couldn't carry any more even if she bought them.
It started raining heavily on the way back, and the journey was difficult, lasting from dawn to dusk.
But the thought of the three families waiting for this pile of supplies came to mind.
With these supplies, and the ease with which she could access them from her spatial storage, she felt that this little bit of hardship was nothing.
Just as they were about to reach the camp, they saw a row of dark figures ahead, their broadswords gleaming coldly.
Did they encounter a robber?
