Chapter 56 Fang Gan, Don’t Follow Me Again
Xiangying used the hem of her skirt as a pocket and stuffed a bunch of crawling little crabs into it.
When she was carrying it back, she happened to meet Tao Xue coming back.
Seeing Taoxue's depressed face, Xiangying understood: "Didn't you get any dry biscuits?"
Tao Xue muttered, "They clearly still have some, but when it's my turn, they say they don't have any."
Xiangying smiled.
"Taoxue, light up the firewood and start cooking. We're going to cook crabs!"
The three little ones quickly gathered around, blinking their big bright eyes, and curiously looked at the crab that Xiangying caught.
"Wow, these crabs are so small and have little meat. How do I eat them?" Xiang Xiuxiu was curious.
Xiangying smiled and said, "If you stir-fry it, it will be delicious even without meat. Just wait."
Xiang Yuanxiao curiously stretched out his chubby little hand and was about to catch a crab to play with, but the crab's claws pinched his fingertips.
"Ah, it hurts!" He screamed and ran to Xiang Yuanlang, "Second brother, help me."
Xiang Yuanlang shouted at the crab, "Get off my brother's hand!"
The little crab really obeyed and loosened its claws.
Xiang Yuanxiao looked at his swollen fingers and wanted to cry, but he noticed that everyone was looking at him, so he held back his tears.
He puffed up his chubby little face and said in a nonchalant manner: "It doesn't hurt that much, I was just teasing you."
These words actually made Xiangli and the others laugh.
Xiangying used a dagger to cut the crab in half and sprinkled salt on it to marinate.
When the pot was ready, she secretly skimmed a piece of lard into it.
Next, she put in the crabs and stir-fried them. She took out her own seasonings from her bag and said she bought them in Yucheng.
Dried peppercorns, chili peppers and dried ginger slices are stir-fried until fragrant.
The fragrance drifted far away, attracting the attention of the surrounding prisoners.
Concubine Shangguan and the others were sharing dry biscuits, and when they smelled the flavor from Xiangying's place, some of them couldn't help swallowing.
Xiang Qianqian held the dry biscuit in her hand and said suddenly, "The river is so dirty, with horse manure floating in the water. I don't understand how anyone dares to catch crabs in it?"
When everyone heard this, they immediately felt that it made sense.
No matter how fragrant it is, it was caught from the creek where the soldiers used to wash their horses.
While they were talking, Xiangying had already taken the stir-fried spicy crab out of the pot and shared it with the children.
The crab has been fried until crispy and can be eaten with both the meat and the skin.
The three little ones were all hissing and sticking out their tongues because it was so spicy, but they kept saying it was delicious while eating.
Xiangying took a little and shared it with his brother Xiangli, watching him eat it without changing his expression.
"Brother, how is it? Is it spicy?"
"It's not spicy." Xiangli smiled gently, but tears from the spiciness flowed down his eyes.
Xiangying laughed so hard that he fell backwards.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye she saw Jie Chen and his soldiers patrolling over.
The beautiful woman who was smiling just now suddenly looked cold.
She put all the remaining spicy crabs in the pot into Qi Fengyi's bowl.
The three little ones were holding their bowls and eating happily, when they looked up they saw Jie Chen coming.
They all uttered a loud "humph" in unison, then turned their backs and gave him three angry little looks.
Tao Xue and Qi Fengyi simultaneously looked cold in the eyes and turned away without looking at him.
Jie Chen walked by and saw Xiang Ying and the others, each looking uglier than the last.
What are you doing again?
He walked away suspiciously.
The next morning, many of them had diarrhea after drinking the stream water from yesterday.
Xiangying and the others were fine.
Before daybreak, the entire exile team set out again.
Xiangying still took on the task of pulling the wooden cart just like yesterday.
She walked all day and didn't feel tired until she rested in the woods that night. In the middle of the night, she suddenly woke up because of hunger.
In the evening she simply ate a sandwich she had made herself, but her body had consumed too much energy throughout the day.
She immediately went into the space and made a delicious spicy hot pot.
All the meatballs that could be seen were thrown into the pot, along with chopped sausages, a handful of green vegetables, mushrooms and tofu.
It's spicy and fragrant, and paired with vermicelli, it's extremely delicious.
Xiangying quietly got up, hid in the woods, ate everything, and made himself a cup of peach nectar.
She leaned against a big tree, looked up at the starry sky, felt the evening breeze, and enjoyed herself.
Just then, someone patted her shoulder from behind.
Xiangying's brows suddenly frowned, his body stiff with the water bag still in his hand.
This guy has such amazing kung fu skills that he didn’t even notice she had just approached him?
Xiangying turned his eyes slightly, and heard a low voice calling from the side: "Princess, I finally found you."
The next second, before he could even sigh with emotion, Xiangying grabbed his wrist and threw him out over his shoulder.
Almost at the same moment, Xiangying hid the water bag, jumped over, pressed his knee against the man's chest, and pressed his hands on the acupuncture points on his neck.
Just hit it hard and the man will die instantly.
"Wait!" The man's voice was low and urgent, "Princess, look carefully, it's me!"
He raised his head slightly, revealing an extremely charming face.
He was handsome and a little devilish, but his eyes were like a dog's, staring at Xiangying infatuatedly.
Looking at his face, Xiangying frowned and searched her mind for memories in confusion.
Finally, I matched him with someone in my memory.
This person is called Fang Gan, and he is one of the handsome men raised by the original owner.
But that was just his public identity.
In fact, the original owner arranged for Fang Gan to raise a group of private soldiers outside, which he called death soldiers.
Xiangying was not sure whether the other party was a friend or an enemy, and raised his eyebrows coldly: "Fang Gan? Why did you come just now?"
Fang Gan was so excited that he almost cried.
"After the country was destroyed, I led my soldiers back to the capital, intending to rescue the emperor, but the princess had already left with the exile team. I chased her all the way and lost my way. Finally, I saw the mark left by the princess."
He pulled out a piece of bark from his sleeve.
There is a round plum blossom painted on it.
Xiangying frowned slightly. She recognized the pattern. It was the mark her brother Xiangli had carved on the tree.
She loosened her hand, and Fang Gan was able to stand up, covering his neck and coughing.
"Princess...I haven't seen you for a few days. How come your strength has increased?"
Xiang Ying's eyes were cold: "You are late. I have decided to follow the exiled army to South Vietnam. You can take the people back."
She turned around to leave, and Fang Gan quickly caught up with her and blocked her way.
"That's impossible. Going to South Vietnam is like entering a tiger's den! How will those people treat you?"
"And I observed all along the way today that those soldiers didn't even give you food. This is really too much."
"So, Princess, come with me," Fang Gan directly held Xiangying's hand, "I will take you and the Crown Prince away from here."
Xiangying lowered her eyes and looked coldly at the hand he held.
Under the moonlight, Fang Gan smiled like a sincere puppy.
However, the next second, Xiangying ruthlessly threw him out again with an over-the-shoulder throw.
Fang Gan once again lay on the ground in a mess. He got up and spat out the fallen leaves in his mouth.
He felt very aggrieved: "Princess, you have never been like this before. Don't you like me holding your hand?"
Xiangying said coldly: "That was in the past. From now on, I will set new rules. The first point is, don't touch me casually."
Fang Gan stood up from the ground and patted his robe.
His voice was muffled: "We even have a child, and you still say this, it's really heartless."
Xiangying paused as he turned to leave, turned back and opened his eyes wide: "What did you say?"
