Chapter 146 The World in the Dream
Gu Yuexuan rolled her eyes at Tu Subo and covered her ears with her hands. Her tone was filled with impatience: "Tu Subo, could you please be quiet for a moment? You keep nagging all day long. It's really annoying!"
Tu Subo looked at her with a playful smile, and even reached out to rub her ears, making her frown slightly. Gu Yuexuan couldn't stand it anymore, so she grabbed the tip of his ear and said with disgust: "You really deserve a beating!"
Tu Subo deliberately frowned, but couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth, and said with great acting skills: "Oh, my dear wife, please forgive me. I feel sorry for you and want to talk to you for a while."
Gu Yuexuan glared at him and pulled his ear hard: "Are you feeling sorry for it? I think you are just itching for trouble!" After that, she rolled her eyes, pulled the quilt over her and prepared to go to sleep.
Seeing this, Tu Subo smiled and lay down on the quilt. He raised his eyebrows and said, "I have warmed the quilt, madam, you can sleep peacefully."
Gu Yuexuan frowned and glared at him: "Tu Subo, can you have some shame?"
Tu Su said innocently, "I'm doing this for your own good. It's winter, and I feel bad for you sleeping alone under a cold blanket."
Gu Yuexuan was so angry that she was speechless and had to turn her back and ignore him. Tu Subo, however, was still unwilling to give up and continued to nag in her ear: "Madam, do you know? When I was a child, I was very naughty. My mother always said that I was the biggest troublemaker in the world."
Gu Yuexuan said coldly: "Oh, so are you still that troublemaker now?"
Tu Subo chuckled: "Of course, otherwise how can I please you?"
Gu Yuexuan shook her head helplessly, thinking, this man, really makes people love and hate him. She couldn't help but ask, "So what bad things did you do when you were a child?"
Tu Subo's eyes lit up, and he said excitedly, "Back then, I often sneaked into my neighbors' homes, let out their chickens and ducks, and then watched them anxiously and laughed heartily."
Gu Yuexuan couldn't help laughing, imagining the scene: "You were such a naughty kid when you were little."
Tu Subo said proudly: "Of course, I was born to be naughty. But now I have turned over a new leaf and will treat you well."
Gu Yuexuan smiled softly and turned to look at him: "Are you still naughty now?"
Tu Subo's eyes widened and he said seriously, "I only act naughty in front of you because I know you won't be angry with me."
Gu Yuexuan felt warmed by his sweet words and couldn't help but poke his forehead: "You're so talkative."
Tu Subo chuckled and lay back on the quilt.
As the night deepened, Tu Subo crept onto the bed, trying not to make any noise. However, the person on the bed had obviously noticed his actions. Tu Subo tried to get closer to Gu Yuexuan, his hands groping in the darkness, as if searching for something.
"Xuanxuan, it's dark at night and I can't see your hands clearly. If I accidentally touch you, please don't misunderstand that I have other evil intentions." Tu Subo explained, trying to find an excuse for his behavior.
Gu Yuexuan turned around and looked at Tu Subo coldly, her eyes full of warning. She frowned and said coldly: "Tu Subo, stop pretending to be stupid. I have no choice but to sleep on the floor."
Tu Subo was stunned in the dark for a moment. He looked at Gu Yuexuan with a stunned expression on his face. Then he retracted his hand and tried to maintain an innocent expression.
"Xuanxuan, I really didn't mean it. I just couldn't see clearly in the dark." Tu Subo tried to explain with a hint of embarrassment on his face.
Gu Yuexuan snorted, turned her head away and ignored him.
Gu Yuexuan pulled the quilt to cover her head and soon fell asleep.
Tu Subo sat by the bed, his eyes gently fixed on her peaceful sleeping face. Moonlight streamed through the window lattice into the room, illuminating the delicate skin on her face. Tu Subo looked at the small teeth marks she had left on the back of his hand, and a sweet pain welled up in his heart.
He slowly reached out his hand and gently stroked the tooth mark, his eyes revealing endless tenderness. Tu Subo found that the thoughts in his mind were the same as the feelings he had touched countless times in his dreams. He wanted to keep this warmth and softness by his side forever.
"Maybe this is love." Tu Subo whispered to himself, with the corners of his mouth slightly raised.
He gently held Gu Yuexuan in his arms, pretending to be fierce on his face, but his movements were actually very gentle.
Tu Subo carefully touched Gu Yuexuan's skin, feeling her warmth and softness, as if he had returned to the world in his dreams.
His fingers gently slid through Gu Yuexuan's hair, and he whispered, "Xuanxuan, do you know? In countless dreams, I have hugged you like this, feeling your breath and your heartbeat. Now, all of this has become reality."
Tu Subo leaned over slightly and gently placed a kiss on Gu Yuexuan's forehead, his heart filled with piety and gratitude. He looked at Gu Yuexuan's sleeping face, a hint of determination flashing in his eyes.
"From this moment on, I will spend my whole life protecting you, cherishing you, and not letting anyone hurt you."
Gu Yuexuan's breathing gradually became steady, and Tu Subo knew she was sleeping soundly. He gently placed her on the bed, covered her with the quilt, and then sat beside the bed, watching her quietly.
Tu Subo's heart was filled with happiness, but at the same time there was also an inexplicable worry. He knew that Gu Yuexuan had a soft heart and a stubborn mouth, and always habitually hid her emotions.
He was afraid that his impulse would hurt her and that his love would make her feel constrained.
He sat quietly, thinking over and over in his mind how to make Gu Yuexuan feel his sincerity, how to make her let down her guard and accept his love.
As the night grew darker, Tu Subo looked out the window at the moonlight, and suddenly an idea came to his mind. He stood up gently, walked to the desk, picked up a pen, and began to write down his feelings.
His brushstrokes were delicate and gentle, as if he was painting a beautiful picture. He poured all his love, worry, expectation and promise to Gu Yuexuan onto the paper.
As he wrote, Tu Subo's eyes became moist. He looked at his own handwriting, his heart filled with emotion.
This feeling will always be with Gu Yuexuan no matter where or when.
After writing, he folded the paper and hid it under his pillow.
Tu Subo returned to the bedside and looked at Gu Yuexuan's sleeping face, a warm smile on his lips. He gently held her hand, feeling her warmth.
"Xuanxuan, no matter when, I will be by your side, protecting you and cherishing you. Please believe me, our future will definitely be even better."
…
The next day, it was already bright, but Tu Subo still lay in bed.
The morning light shone through the window lattice onto his face, revealing his lazy and tired expression. He opened his eyes slightly and saw Gu Yuexuan standing by the bed, frowning at him.
"Xuanxuan, I want to sleep a little longer. Why are you looking at me like that?" Tu Subo's voice was hoarse, and he tried to reach out and hook Gu Yuexuan's sleeve.
Gu Yuexuan gently brushed his hand away, a hint of displeasure on her face: "Tu Subo, you've been acting strange since last night. You were still lying in bed this morning, and now you're pretending to be sick. What do you want?"
