Chapter 86: Cryogenic Frost Syndrome

Chapter 86: Cryogenic Frost Syndrome

Sure enough! Uncle finally taught my sister some good things!

Qin Feng stared at Qin Xiangnuan's back, his heart and eyes filled with envy. Qin Xiangnuan was completely unaware of his thoughts. She felt dizzy and sweaty. Every step she took felt like walking on the edge of a knife. Water dripped from the top of the cave, hitting her head. The cold water made her fall limply to the ground, unable to move forward.

"There should be no one here."

Qin Xiangnuan opened her eyes and looked back the way she had come. There was no light anymore. She closed her eyes, relaxing her consciousness, and entered a space. This space was completely different from the outside. The sun was warm, the breeze was gentle, and the air was filled with the fragrance of flowers and plants. Qin Xiangnuan looked at the spiritual spring before her, scooped up a few sips, and drank two mouthfuls. The spiritual spring water flowed down her throat and into her stomach, nourishing every internal organ in her body.

The feeling of heat and cold dissipated in an instant. Qin Xiangnuan still felt a little tired, but not as uncomfortable as before.

She stood up, brushed off the grass and dirt on her skirt, and walked towards the food court. There was enough meat outside, but the freezing weather had infiltrated their bodies, and they needed to expel the cold. Qin Xiangnuan searched the shelves for ginger and licorice, stuffing them all in her arms. There were too many things to hold, so she simply pulled over a shopping cart and dumped everything she needed into it.

"I remember that mother seemed to have some flour."

Qin Xiangnuan silently reviewed the supplies currently available at the General's Mansion. She thought heavy meals might be harmful to the stomach, so warm rice soup and noodles would be better. But having just recovered from a serious illness, she needed nourishment to withstand the cold weather. Turning her clever mind, her eyes fell on the hens in the chicken coop outside. "We need you now!" A smile curled her lips as she slowly approached.

Cluck, cluck, cluck! When several hens saw her coming, they frightenedly flapped their wings and tried to fly out of the chicken coop.

But their speed couldn't match Qin Xiangnuan. With her sleeves rolled up, she bent over and reached out with both hands, precisely grabbing the wings of two chickens and lifting them up from thin air. She plucked the feathers and cut the meat, all in one go. Taking the meat back with her wouldn't be possible. Qin Xiangnuan turned her head to look at the machine room in the space, walked in, and checked everything. She soon discovered the wall-breaking machine that was grinding the chicken into powder. "What a coincidence!"

It comes without any effort.

Qin Xiangnuan threw all the meat in, and soon, it all turned into fragrant chicken powder.

Finding an empty glass bottle of the right size on the shelf, Qin Xiangnuan diligently poured all the powder into it, carefully tucked it away in her arms. When she returned with her harvest, she found the cave exceptionally quiet, everyone exhausted from the lack of oxygen and the low temperature.

"Mother, mother?" Qin Xiangnuan gently pushed Liu's shoulder, "Where is our bag of noodles?"

Liu struggled to open her eyes, her whole body burning as she said, "There!" Qin Xiangnuan was about to go over to get the noodles, but out of the corner of her eye she saw Qin Feng standing up and taking off his clothes. He had thrown his outer robe to the ground and was now tearing at his inner garment. If he took it off, he would be naked! Qin Feng's eyes were blurred, and a slightly strange smile curled the corners of his mouth, "Little sister, you're back!"

Oh no! Qin Xiangnuan didn't care about the flour, ran to Qin Feng and touched his body.

"Little sister, why is it suddenly so hot here? You're all sweaty. Are you cold? I'll take off my cousin's clothes and give them to you." Qin Feng didn't forget to care about Qin Xiangnuan at this moment, and pretended to put his clothes on her. Qin Xiangnuan was so anxious that she wanted to scold him. She picked up clothes and wrapped them around him, "Even if it's hot, you have to wear them!"

This is a sign of hypothermia.

Experiencing extreme low temperatures can cause cognitive biases in the body. People who die from hypothermia often feel very warm before dying, taking off all their clothes and ultimately freezing to death in the wild. Qin Xiangnuan was extremely anxious. She looked back at the people in the General's Mansion. Most of them were lying on the ground with their eyes closed, semi-conscious. If this continued, they would all lose their lives here.

"Come on, do you see that pot in front of you?"

Qin Xiangnuan could only rely on Qin Feng; at least he was able to move. "Throw these things in, boil the water, and pour it out. Everyone should drink a bowl. If they can't open their mouths, just pour it in! Do you understand?" She wanted to go back to the space to find some thick, warm clothes! Now, resisting the severe cold and staying alive were the most important things. Nothing else mattered!

"Okay." Qin Feng nodded blankly, and walked straight towards the iron pot like a robot that had been fed with commands.

Qin Xiangnuan poured the mineral water she had taken out of the space into the fire, lit the firewood, and threw in the ginger. The conditions were simple, and she didn't have time to cut it into pieces or mince it. Qin Feng stood beside her, rubbing his eyes and watching her movements. "Little sister, am I dazzled? Why do I see so much water?"

"Is this true?"

Qin Feng looked at the boiling water and wanted to put his hand in. Qin Xiangnuan hurriedly stopped him, "If you still want to learn some unique secrets from Dad, just listen to me and watch the water boil, pour it out, and don't do anything else!" She didn't want to see Qin Feng's ten fingers turned into boiled carrots when she came back from the space.

"Okay, I'll do as you say!"

Even when unconscious, the secret manual remained a switch for Qin Feng. He gripped the wooden stick, stirring the ginger water in the iron pot like an old witch in the forest. Qin Xiangnuan, slightly worried, glanced back at him every two steps. She ran back to the space as fast as she could and headed straight to the second floor of the mall. She found her winter down jackets and military coats, packed all the ones she could fit into a cardboard box, and laboriously carried them out.

"Mom, put it on."

Qin Xiangnuan distributed the clothes one by one to the people in the general's mansion. In the end, there were not enough military coats, so the secret guards, the officials, and the men in the general's mansion had to share one, barely enough to cover themselves. This was much better than wearing thin clothes!

"Little sister, the water is ready."

Qin Feng's snot was about to flow into the iron pot. He spoke in a hoarse voice. Qin Xiangnuan nodded, ran over, scooped some with a wooden spoon and placed it in a bowl, starting with the old lady. "Grandma, drink some to get rid of the cold." Old Lady Qin forced her eyes open and looked at the colorful down jacket covering her body with great surprise.

"What is this?"

She touched it with her hand. It was light and not heavy, yet very warm. "I've never seen it before in the capital..."
