Chapter 669: Bai Kui vs. Feng Lin (8)

Chapter 669: Bai Kui vs. Feng Lin (8)

The heavy rain at sea seemed to have no end.

When the wind blew again, the bloody smell carried in the humid air became stronger and stronger.

Feng Lin stood close to the cabin window, observing the situation based on the sparks caused by the clash of weapons outside.

The pirate ships that rushed out of the island continued to surround the cargo ship, and their wild shouting became louder and louder.

The fight in the stern cabin moved to the deck, and the pirate leader gradually lost the upper hand under the men's attack.

Feng Lin stared at the two figures in a stalemate, and at this moment he didn't dare to relax, holding the soft sword at his waist tightly with one hand.

Below the cargo ship, near the coast, there were two small fishing boats lying dormant, seemingly waiting for an opportunity.

When Feng Lin saw the cold light flying out from the small fishing boat and attacking Bai Kui's back, he drew out his soft sword without thinking and rushed forward.

With two clangs, the arrow was repelled, and the hat on Feng Lin's head was swept off. Her hair flew like a waterfall and was instantly wet by the rain. Her clothes also gradually became soaked and stuck to her skin, showing the slenderness and grace that only women can have.

"Woman! Hahahaha, it's a woman! Catch her alive!"

The laughter on the small fishing boat was even more unbridled, and the pirates blew slogans with a strange rhythm, "Stop playing around, kill them!"

"Kill them! The good stuff on these dozen ships is enough for us to enjoy for decades! The silver and women are all ours! Kill them!"

Along with the shouts and cries, lights finally lit up on the dark sea, densely packed and surging towards the cargo ship.

The ropes, arrows and iron hooks commonly used by pirates kept hitting the hull of the cargo ship, and the sound of thuds came one after another.

"Who let you out? I won't save you if something happens to you!" Bai Kui's black eyes were cold. He chopped off the little leader's head with a sword and threw it into the sea without blinking.

Feng Lin had no time to look at him, and swam along the edge of the boat to dodge the arrows, "Miser, but I want to save you!"

Bai Kui's heart felt like it was hit by something, neither light nor heavy. He glanced at the woman and saw the pirates climbing onto the cabin roof throwing a noose towards her. "Be careful!"

The two were not close to each other, and he was a little slow after all. He watched as the little girl was put around her neck with a rope and dragged to the top of the cabin, where she was grabbed from behind by the grinning pirate and held in his arms.

Because he was distracted for a moment, his shoulders were hooked by iron hooks and he was dragged backwards.

Bai Kui grabbed the iron hook chain with one hand, staring straight at the little girl, with cold murderous intent in his eyes.

He swung the long sword in his hand to grab the chain, then turned sideways and pulled back hard. The person at the other end of the chain was pulled out, and before he could fall, he was broken into several pieces by the man's sword.

Bai Kui was still determined to kill him. After taking out the iron hook, he jumped to the top of the cabin.

When he looked up, he saw the usually innocent little girl silently turning the hilt of the sword and stabbing it into his lower chest without hesitation. After the pirate let go in pain, she turned around and cut off the pirate's neck neatly, and imitated Bai Kui's previous action, throwing the disgusting head into the rolling sea.

Like a calm little madman, he was willing to injure himself eight hundred times in order to escape danger and win.

Bai Kui's heart was hit by something again, this time it was extremely hard.

"Hahahaha!" He laughed joyfully, and leaped over to support the little girl who was barely standing.

It turns out that the third princess of Xiling, Feng Lin, is not a stupid little white rabbit.

The cruelty and madness buried in his bones is so fucking attractive.

"What are you laughing at? I didn't ask you to save me." Feng Lin covered the wound under his chest and groaned while trying to suppress the pain.

"Very cool," the man laughed, then raised his voice and gave an order, "Sailors, take the helm! Team two, lower the deck! Team three, team four, launch torpedoes and water rockets!"

"Yes!" Ying He's voice broke through the darkness.

In just a moment, the situation changed drastically.

As the explosions became more frequent, the surrounding lights began to go out one by one, and the unbridled laughter disappeared, replaced by harsh curses and screams.

In the end, only a few small fishing boats on the outermost edge were left, and they escaped from the torpedo and water rocket attacks.

The fighting was over, the storm at sea also came to an end, and the turbulent sea surface returned to calm.

After the wind and rain subsided, the sky became clear again, and the sun shone through the clouds, casting a layer of golden light on the sea.

The cargo ship set sail again and sailed away from that bloody place.

Feng Lin was half-supported and half-carried by the man back to the cabin. The doctor on the ship came over to check his injuries, left some ointments and medicine bags, and left.

"There are no maids on the boat, so you should bandage yourself." Bai Kui leaned against the narrow cabin door with his arms folded. His tall figure almost blocked the entire door, and his face, which was hidden from the light, showed no expression.

Feng Lin met his eyes based on his feeling, "I want to bandage the wound, won't you avoid it?"

The man turned his back to her and closed the door behind him. "If anything is wrong, just call me. I won't leave until you've bandaged it."

The door was clearly closed and the man outside couldn't see him at all, but Feng Lin inexplicably felt that his presence had not diminished at all.

Bandaging the wound required taking off her shirt, and even though there was a door between them and she knew he was just outside, she still felt uneasy.

To ease her discomfort, she made small talk. "No wonder you dared to order the ship to dock near the island. It turns out you have plenty of resources, including torpedoes and water arrows...Brother Bai, what are water arrows? Are they like bows and arrows?"

The man's deep voice came from outside, and he said lightly, "It's almost the same as a bow and arrow, but it's most powerful in water."

"How did you get it?"

"It was custom-made for a white peacock. If you take this route and make a living in this industry, you could get killed if you're not careful. So, you need to be well prepared."

"White peacock?"

"My old rival, we have been fighting openly and secretly for as long as we have known each other." Bai Kui leaned against the door panel and closed his eyes slightly. That bastard Bai Xiaofeng had taken advantage of the water arrow many times and cheated him out of a lot of money.

The door behind him opened, and Bai Kui still stood firmly. He turned around and took a look. "Rest after the bandage is done. I still have things to take care of--"

The little girl grabbed his clothes and dragged him into the room, then made him sit down on the bed. "Take off your clothes and bandage the wound on your shoulder."

He sat and she stood.

He raised his eyes from bottom to top, and the man's uniquely strong and oppressive aura made the already narrow cabin even more stuffy. "Minor injury."

"Didn't you say you wouldn't save me?" Feng Lin's peach blossom eyes were dark and bright, and she looked at him with a smile. She pulled open his clothes with both hands, revealing the bloody wounds below the collarbones on both sides.

Two clumps of black ointment were slapped on, and the cloth strips were wrapped around the man's shoulders, tightly tying him up, making him look weird.

Bai Kui didn't move, letting the little girl bandage him as if he were playing, staring at her with eyes that were dark and bottomless.

She was too close, and the elegant fragrance penetrated into his nostrils without restraint, without any regard for him.

"The cargo ship will arrive at the coast of Middle-earth in a month and a half, and you can leave then," he said.

Feng Lin pursed his lips, "Hmph."

"What do you mean?"

"You don't have to chase me away. I'll leave on my own, you heartless old man!"

"Say that again?"

"Old man!"

He clamped her wrist and pulled it down hard, their eyes met and their noses touched.

He opened his thin lips, his voice light and dangerous, "Say it again?"
