Chapter 34: Secret Revealed

After the two of them had eaten their fill, they had to get up to digest the food, because as soon as they lay down, they felt like something was about to come out of their throats.

Xiangye and Mao went to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen.

Wen Xi strolled around while thinking about how to explain her situation later.

Compared to my past lives, my experiences of life and death, I don't take many things so seriously anymore. I don't want to keep this secret to myself.

First, trust them. No matter how many risks this trust carries, it's your choice. And as the saying goes, risks and opportunities coexist.

Second, living together is too intimate, and there are too many things that cannot be explained. I don't want to dig holes for myself every day.

Third, I am not the original after all, and I don’t want to live like someone else. This kind of adventure is just my opportunity.

As for how to tell everyone, this is a technical job and depends entirely on my acting skills. I hope I am not much worse than other time travelers.

After I sorted out the speech in my mind, the two of them came into the room.

Wen Xi stretched out her hand towards the bed with a serious expression:

"Please... sit on the bed, oh no, three of you. Hurry up and get on too, little brother."

Then Wen Xi also sat opposite them.

It made everyone a little confused.

"It's like this. First of all, I want to apologize to mother. Actually, I lied to you on the day of the house search. I was in a very bad state that day. On the night I knelt in the ancestral hall, I don't know what happened, but I developed a high fever. So the ancestral hall manager, Mom, took me to the warehouse to lie down. My fever was so high that day that I didn't even wake up. When I opened my eyes, I was lying in a strange coffin. That coffin was made of iron and much larger than the coffins here. It was all white all around. No one responded no matter how I shouted. Then I fell asleep in it, and when I woke up, my fever had actually subsided. And there was another person in my mind. According to what that person said, it seemed that she was my past life. So there are a lot of strange things in my mind."

Xiang Ye stared and said:

"So what about the dumplings?"

Wen Xi nodded:

"Yeah, there's a lot of stuff about food. I guess if she's really my past life, then I must have been a foodie."

Mao suppressed the turmoil in his heart and pretended to be calm:

"You are also a foodie in this life."

Wen Xi silently touched the bridge of his nose, feeling guilty that his mother was always trying to sabotage him.

"When I got really tired of lying in that coffin, I got angry and said I wanted to leave, and then I got out. I could also go back in. But the place was too small, so there was no point in me going in. I couldn't just sleep in the coffin, right? Later, my clever little brain used many methods to experiment, and finally I found that I could store things in the coffin and take them out. And they wouldn't spoil."

Mao suddenly understood:

"Oh, so that's where you got all those things on the road?"

"Well, that's all my secrets. I've told you everything I need to."

Mao hugged Wen Xi distressedly:

"You little girl, why didn't you tell your mother about such a big thing earlier? Why are you still kneeling when you have a fever? Even if you make a fuss, your aunt will do everything she can to protect you."

"Well, I know, but I didn't think much about it at the time. The next day, something like that happened again in the mansion."

Mao touched Wen Xi's hair and sighed:

"What do you think, is this good or bad? Why are you lying in a coffin? How unlucky is that? Why not something else? As for your past life, I don't understand either. This may indeed be your opportunity! But you will always be my daughter. No matter how capable you are, you can't get out of my hands."

Wen Xi knew that her mother, a thoughtful woman, was afraid that she would feel fear and anxiety because of such an experience, let alone such a mysterious past and present life! So she tried various ways to comfort herself. She had to accept it with joy.

Wen Xi raised her little finger:

"This coffin is because of it. I looked at my fingers and muttered, 'It really looks like a coffin,' and then I got into the coffin."

This is ridiculous! The two of them couldn't believe it. Gu Shengmo was dizzy and seemed to understand but also didn't understand.

Wen Xi saw that they didn't believe her and became anxious:

"It's true. It couldn't be more true. Don't you think it looks like a coffin?"

Mao didn't know how to describe her feelings at the moment. This strange finger was not only her daughter's pain, but her own pain as well.

Because of this finger, my daughter has been bullied by her siblings and disliked by her elders. This has caused her to have low self-esteem since she was little. But now, my daughter no longer feels inferior about her finger and even feels a little proud! So should I be happy?
