The sun was at its highest point and it was already noon.
Shen Jinshan and Shen Yushan each carried two loads of firewood, one large and one small.
Shen Yulin carried the basket filled with dandelions and eggs on his back.
Chen Xinli carried the basket of honeysuckle and went down the mountain with her brothers.
Shen Jinshan had insisted on taking the backpack containing the honeysuckle.
But Chen Xinli felt distressed when she saw her thin elder brother carrying such a heavy load of firewood, so she picked up the backpack and started jogging.
Shen Jinshan was so frightened that he kept shouting behind him:
"Slow down, slow down, Ali, don't fall."
The children took a detour from the side of the mountain and went to their uncle's house first. As soon as they entered the house, Shen Yulin shouted:
