Liao Qizhu ran over and grabbed the little boy by the shoulders. He looked him over carefully and said in a trembling voice, "It's good to be alive, it's good to be alive!"
Maomao was very confused. "Who are you?"
Liao Qizhu cried with joy, "You don't even recognize your uncle?"
Maomao shook his head. "You're dressed too well. You're not my uncle."
Liao Qizhu felt a pang of sadness in his heart and patted his head, "Are you hungry?"
Maomao nodded vigorously and glanced at the bowl of leftovers from their meal. Just a tiny bit of grease on it made him so greedy that his eyes turned green.
Liao Qizhu gnashed his teeth and said, "I have made so much gunpowder for the Tu family over the years, but he refused to even give my nephew a full meal! This is too much!"
As he spoke, Liao Qizhu looked at Xie Ling and said, "Niece-in-law, may I ask where your kitchen is? I would like to borrow it and prepare a meal for my nephew."
Xie Ling pointed to the east, "Let me help you, can you do it?"
