It was early morning, and the sun was climbing out from the distant hillside, radiating brilliant light and casting a layer of light golden veil over everything.
The air was damp after the rain, refreshing and chilling all the way to the lungs.
Looking up and seeing the scene in front of them, everyone couldn't help but hold their breath.
Endless red flowers covered the sky, like a soft carpet stretching across the entire hillside and then rolling over to the next hill. Red was everywhere you looked.
The light green branches are slender and sway in the wind, as if they would be broken if not carefully managed.
The petals are very fragile and thin. When the wind blows, all the petals float up, charmingly beautiful, and the sweet fragrance seems like a light autumn rain.
This place is so beautiful, like a paradise on earth.
Everyone's eyes began to blur, as if they could drown in this ultimate tenderness.
Xie Ling was also in a trance for a moment.
She seemed to have seen this flower somewhere before; it looked very familiar.
Just as I was about to think about it, many dreamlike scenes flashed through my mind out of nowhere.
She shook her head hard, but still couldn't get rid of those strange images.
In the ruins of the end of the world, the setting sun looks like blood, and corpses are everywhere.
She was still a young girl, carrying a medicine box on her back and holding a machine gun in her hand. Her high ponytail blew up a sharp wind when she walked.
As she walked, Xie Ling noticed that there seemed to be a young man lying at the door of a convenience store in front of her.
The boy was not very old, probably only twelve or thirteen years old, and he was wearing a grey ancient costume. Even with his eyes closed, one could still see his handsome face.
Xie Ling didn't want to meddle in other people's business, but when she saw the boy's face that met her aesthetic standards, she felt sympathy for him.
She sighed that being handsome really came in handy while treating the boy's injuries.
Looking at the boy's exquisite ancient costume, Xie Ling was amazed, "It's the end of the world and he's still playing cosplay."
But when her hand touched the boy's real hair, Xie Ling was stunned.
This is real hair, not a wig!
There were many strange people and things in the end times, and Xie Ling was too lazy to worry about it. She brought the boy's vital signs back to normal, packed her own medicine box, carried her own spear, and turned around and left without a trace of nostalgia.
The zombies in this city have been strangled to death. This boy should not be bitten to death by the zombies. Whether he can survive depends on his luck.
.......
Xie Ling pressed her temples hard, but still couldn't get out of that scene.
She wondered why her memory, which had always been good, was so vague about this matter?
Did she really save a boy in ancient costume when she was a child?
The scene changed.
Turn to an exquisite villa.
Little Xie Ling was wearing a white cotton pajamas, holding a medical book in her hand, sitting on the swing in the garden, studying carefully.
Behind her, two young men and women with suitcases suddenly approached.
The woman's expression was very gentle. "Lingling can read medical books at such a young age. She has indeed inherited our medical talent."
The man nodded and said, "When she is fifteen, I will send her to the Chinese Pharmacology Organization and let her serve the country with us."
As soon as she finished speaking, little Xie Ling noticed the presence of people behind her. She turned around abruptly, and when she saw the two of them, her eyes instantly turned red, but she held her chin up stubbornly to prevent the tears from falling.
The woman bent down and picked up little Xie Ling, "Mom and Dad are back to see you."
......
The scene stopped abruptly, and Xie Ling felt a sharp pain in her heart.
This was the first time she saw her parents in her memory since their death.
She thought she had almost forgotten what they looked like, but she didn't expect that she still remembered them so clearly.
Since Xie Ling was old enough to understand, her parents have not been around and she was raised by a nanny.
She is different from other children. Other children can go out to play and go to school, but she can only stay in this closed villa, waiting for the teacher to come and teach her.
The nanny was a gentle middle-aged woman who often brought her a lot of food and toys from outside. For little Xie Ling, that was the happiest time of the day.
Xiao Xie Ling took out a map and analyzed the local specialties and found out that she lived in the south of China.
In addition to the high walls of the villa, there are even dozens of armed police with rifles patrolling outside the door every day, so not even a fly can fly in.
The first time Xie Ling saw the outside world was when she was thirteen years old. The end of the world began. Zombies rushed into the villa and bit all the nannies and teachers to death. She left in a military vehicle under the protection of the armed police.
Later she found out that her parents were high-ranking secret agents of China, and they trapped her in the villa and sent armed police to guard her in order to protect her because her parents had made many enemies.
When Xie Ling walked out of the villa, her parents had already died in the zombie tide in Southeast Asia while carrying out the mission.
Xie Ling inherited the excellent talents of her parents. She learned everything quickly and well, especially medical skills, which were the best in China.
Perhaps out of guilt towards Xie Ling, the organization did not force her to join. They only gave her the most advanced learning materials, let a medical master be her teacher, and secretly protected her safety when she left.
However, due to her experiences in her youth, Xie Ling did not like being monitored and kept in captivity, so she shook off her protectors and ventured into the end of the world alone.
The memory faded away bit by bit, and in a sea of fragrant red flowers, Xie Ling saw her parents smiling gently and reaching out their hands to her.
Xie Ling opened her mouth and couldn't help shouting: "Dad, Mom............"
But she was surprised by her own childish voice.
When I looked down, I found that I was still wearing my favorite cotton princess pajamas from childhood, with lace trimmed at the corners.
