Jiang Yunzi trembled all over.
He knew that the high priest was a scheming person, but he didn't expect him to be so sharp.
He immediately said, "I saw that the two guardians at the door were gone. I was just wondering where they went."
"I went to Qingyuzhou to deliver the Blood of the Supreme Yin. How is it going over there, Your Excellency?"
As soon as he finished speaking, a thin and tall figure walked out from the shadow of the hall.
Most of his body was hidden in the black cloak, with only half of his pale jaw showing. He looked like a ray of moonlight left in the world, exuding a cold and indifferent attitude that kept strangers away.
Jiang Yunzi placed one hand on his chest and saluted, "Everything is going well over there, but..."
"What?"
Jiang Yunzi said: "There must be something wrong with that person's blood, which caused the poison mist to be less powerful. Most of the people we captured survived."
The high priest frowned, "Is there something wrong with the blood?"
Jiang Yunzi nodded, "Did that person have some illness before? This might be the reason."
The high priest's eyes were cold. "He is indeed ill, but I thought it would not cause any problems, so I did not treat him. Then please come with me to see what the problem is. We are in a critical situation and cannot afford any mistakes."
Jiang Yunzi nodded, "Okay."
After saying this, the two of them walked out of the hall.
Walking into the sunlight, the high priest's skin became even paler. He said in a cold and ethereal voice, "Your Excellency, follow me."
Jiang Yunzi followed behind the priest.
He gestured with his hands behind his back.
Xie Ling Gu Wei understood and immediately followed quietly.
I didn't walk many steps.
The high priest who was walking suddenly turned around, looked around, and frowned.
Fortunately, Gu Wei was good at martial arts and he hid his body and concealed his breath immediately.
Jiang Yunzi looked puzzled: "What's wrong?"
The high priest narrowed his eyes and said, "Nothing."
After walking for an unknown amount of time, the two came to a dungeon. The iron door was deep and heavy, with intricate and ancient mysterious patterns engraved on it, as if thousands of entangled snakes were present, lifelike.
The high priest turned around and said, "Your Excellency, I may have to trouble you to step aside for a moment."
As he spoke, the high priest took out a piece of black brocade from his sleeve and said, "Please cover your eyes."
Jiang Yunzi did as he was told.
The high priest pressed a few keys on the iron door. After a heavy "creaky" sound, he reached out and tore off the cloth in front of Jiang Yunzi's eyes.
Jiang Yunzi opened his eyes again and found himself in the passage. The door had been closed again at some point.
He felt a chill in his heart and only hoped that Gu Wei and Xie Ling could catch up.
Although Gu Wei did not see the high priest's actions clearly, he himself was also a master of formations. He came to the gate, observed for a moment, and opened it in just half an incense stick of time.
Inside the gate is a wide circular platform with about seven or eight round arches around it.
Xie Ling observed them one by one, and finally stopped in front of one of them.
"It should be this one, with the firefly powder left by the master."
This firefly powder is made by fireflies. It can leave traces and glow.
After walking for a while, another identical platform appeared, with doors on all sides.
Fortunately, Jiang Yunzi left traces, otherwise it would take a lot of time just to walk through the maze.
This was repeated three or four times. This time, when they walked into the archway, they were both very nervous, fearing that they would encounter a similar scene again.
But fortunately, this time, a ray of light could be seen from afar through the small arch in front.
When he was about to walk out, Gu Wei drew out his sword, stopped, and signaled Xie Ling to stay there and wait for him with his eyes.
Xie Ling knew that her martial arts skills were not as good as Gu Wei's, so she nodded.
Gu Wei was in the open while she was in the dark. If the enemy discovered Gu Wei, she could also catch him off guard and give him a fatal blow.
There is a tall bronze statue outside and a tall altar in the center.
It is very similar to the one in Canglan Prefecture, but more majestic. There is no wind blowing, but you can always feel the strong wind around you, as if you are on the edge of a cliff.
There was a person tied to the central column, or to be exact, a man.
He lowered his head, his long hair covering his face, and his white gown was open, revealing his entire skinny chest, which was now dripping with blood.
Jiang Yunzi is treating him.
"This man has been starving and freezing for years, so his blood is not very pure. It should be fine once I cure him."
The high priest didn't reply for a long while, then smiled coldly.
"Your Excellency, you can let your little tail out now."
Jiang Yunzi's eyes suddenly widened.
Before he could come to his senses, a sharp long knife stabbed straight into his chest.
Gu Wei narrowed his eyes and flew over quickly. His sword was as fast as a stream of light and he quickly picked up the knife in the high priest's hand.
The priest was knocked back by the huge impact brought by Gu Wei and fell heavily to the ground.
But he was not panicked at all. He stood up calmly, took the flute at his waist and started playing.
Almost at the moment when the flute sounded, the overwhelming poisonous insects were like waves, instantly filling the entire altar.
Gu Wei’s eyes were cold, and his sword pointed directly at the chest of the man in white.
"Don't kill me!"
The man shouted anxiously, his long hair spread out, revealing a handsome pale face, "Don't kill me, I know where the mother Gu is."
By the time the man finished speaking, Gu Wei's sword had already penetrated half an inch.
Gu Wei drew out his sword and said in a cold voice, "You are the best."
At some point, the position where the high priest was standing slowly rose up and off the ground.
The sound of his flute was eerie and ethereal, just like him.
Jiang Yunzi had a lot of medicine to expel poisonous insects in his medicine bag, but there were so many of them that it was just a drop in the bucket.
Gu Wei's long sword almost left an afterimage as it swung fiercely on the iron chain behind the man.
