Chapter 374 Don't pick it up, something's not right!

Seeing the two of them like this, Ruan Qian looked at Ruan Meng.

"Does my younger sister also agree with what my third brother did?"

Ruan Meng nodded, "If you worry too much, you won't get anything done."

“I have an idea, I want to find a kind of herb first. But this does not conflict with Third Brother’s suggestion.”

“I trust Third Brother’s skills. Let’s ask the neighbor for two more guards. If we make our move at night, we’ll be even more foolproof.”

The eldest brother remained noncommittal, while the second brother asked, "Little sister, are you going to beat them until they can't get out of bed?"

Ruan Meng thought about it for a moment, worried that her elder brother would not agree, and compromised by saying:

"Or this might work: we can use a little trick around here. If they don't cooperate, fine, we'll leave them alone for now. But if they try anything else, don't blame us for being ruthless!"

Anyway, those guards had been following them and knew their route back. All they had to do was hide some copper coins coated with powder around their hiding place, following the route...

Let them stay there for ten days or half a month, and see if they still have the strength to come out and cause trouble.

Several people are unable to get out of bed. If other newcomers help take care of them, perhaps they can be moved by their kindness.

It's best if nothing happens, but they still dare to cause trouble. Ruan Meng will not tolerate them!

After listening to Ruan Meng's suggestion, the eldest brother finally nodded.

Ruan Meng found Xiao Kai and began preparations.

Night fell.

Ruan Meng and Lao San left with two guards. Sun Chengen heard Xiao Kai's report and told him to call a few more people to follow behind.

Turning around, he saw his sister's smirking eyes and tried to cover it up, saying:

"She can't get hurt, little sister, you haven't fully recovered yet!"

Sun Mu'en nodded in agreement.

In the valley behind, Ruan Meng reminded her third brother and two guards.

"I haven't been beachcombing in ages, let's get this over with quickly. Once the others are down, I'll leave it to you guys, I have to go back to beachcombing!"

The third brother smiled, wondering if his sister truly trusted him, or if she felt that going to the beach was more important than her brother's safety...

The group scattered copper coins coated with medicinal powder at several of the shadowy figures' hiding places.

They had taken the antidote beforehand, so they showed no abnormalities.

The cat waited not far away for less than half an hour before finally spotting two furtive figures.

We proceeded cautiously, observing the movements below the mountain.

When they reached the spot where the copper coins had been scattered, the rustling under their feet attracted their attention.

The two were overjoyed when they found the copper coin under their feet.

After picking up a few, one of them sensed something was wrong.

"That's not right! The people of Fengjia Village are dirt poor, how could they lose so much money? And no one has come to look for it?"

The other person ignored everything and continued searching for coins on the ground by the moonlight.

The more they searched, the more they found, extending far into the distance, which was a delightful surprise.

Another person warned, "Don't pick it up, something's not right!"

The person in front of me kept turning around as they picked things up, saying, "You're just too nervous!"

He picked up a piece, placed it under the moonlight, examined it himself, and continued:

"As long as the money is fine and no one is bothering us, isn't that a good thing?"

"Perhaps it's just God taking pity on me and wanting me to make a windfall."

The man still seemed hesitant, but looking at the copper coin in his palm, he seemed to have made up his mind.

As long as the money is okay, at worst we can change our route tonight, pick up the money, and go back!

The two picked up the stones along the way, but their hands couldn't hold them all, so they simply took off their clothes and used them to carry the stones.

The third brother gritted his teeth and reached out to cover Ruan Meng's eyes.

Finally, after not hearing the sound of a coin being struck, the cautious man suggested:

"How about we go back first?"

One of the bolder ones looked down into his pocket, thought for a moment, and then nodded in agreement.

If their activities are exposed, being scolded or beaten is a minor matter; losing their money is a major one!

The two carefully left along the same route.

After the two men had walked away, the two guards asked:

"Young master, young lady, shall we go back now, or..."

The third brother covered his face with a black cloth, told Ruan Meng to go back, and ordered a guard dressed in black to follow him.

"We can't let them get away with those copper coins!"

It was all earned by my younger sister through hard work!

Not a single one can be wasted!

The two guards nodded, covered their faces with veils, and followed.

Ruan Meng watched for a while before feeling relieved enough to go home.

Half of the guards who were following closely not far away went back, while the other half followed the people in front.

Ruan Meng had just arrived at her doorstep when she heard the good news.
