Shen Yu held the wontons, glanced at his mother, and placed the wontons on the empty table beside him.
Then he glanced at Shen Cong, who had just walked over to his feet, reached out and ruffled his head, mischievously messing up Shen Cong's hair before letting go.
"How have you been, Mother?"
Qiaohui nodded, placed her hand on Shen Yu's arm, feeling heartbroken; the child was so thin he had hardly any flesh on him.
Shen Yu comforted his mother, "Mother, don't cry, I'm fine."
Pei Yao walked over and asked Aunt Hui, "Aunt Hui, we just bought some wontons. You and Xiao Cong haven't had breakfast yet, have you?"
Qiaohui had been immersed in the emotions of reuniting after a long separation, but when Pei Yao asked her this, she actually realized she was a little hungry.
Fortunately, Pei Yao bought extra wontons when she went to buy them.
Pei Yao then called Niu Qingshan, who was still decocting medicine outside, to come over for breakfast together.
Niu Qingshan was being chatted with by Granny Wang, who had previously helped Shen Yu start the fire.

Aunt Wang looked at Pei Yao suspiciously, then grabbed Niu Qingshan and asked, "Is that girl your wife?"
Upon hearing her words, Niu Qingshan nearly spat in her face. He quickly blushed and explained, "Auntie, you've misunderstood. That girl is just a girl from my village, not my wife..."
Looking at the boy's dark red face, Aunt Wang smiled awkwardly and said nothing more, continuing to chat with Aunt Zhou next to her.
Niu Qingshan watched as Aunt Wang left, and breathed a sigh of relief. Then he wrapped the handle of the medicine he had just brewed in a cloth and carried it inside as well.
Pei Yao glanced at the medicine and smiled at Niu Qingshan: "Brother Qingshan, thank you so much for thinking of helping us brew the medicine."
Niu Qingshan smiled sheepishly, the blush on his face from being teased by Aunt Wang still lingering: "Sister Yao, you're too kind. Actually, Shen Yu helped with all of this. I just checked the heat later and didn't really help much."
After entering the house, Pei Yao took the medicine and prepared to pour it out, while the others ate the wontons that Pei Yao and Shen Yu had brought back.
Everyone was hungry, especially the patients, who had barely eaten anything during their days in a coma. However, Pei Yao was worried that if they ate too much at once, they might experience indigestion, so she reminded them to eat slowly and in small portions.
Those people listened to advice, and after Pei Yao said that, they obediently put down their chopsticks.
Pei Erlang looked at his daughter. When she woke up this time, he listened to Yunniang tell him about Yao'er's changes. He was initially somewhat skeptical, but now that he saw his daughter talking eloquently and with many smiles on her face, he finally believed what Yunniang had said.
His daughter had really changed, and he couldn't help but call out "Yao'er" to Pei Yao.
Pei Yao paused in clearing the dishes, then called out to Pei Erlang, "Father."
Pei Erlang almost burst into tears when he heard Yao'er call him "Father." This was the first time Yao'er had called him "Father" since she returned.
For a moment, he didn't know what to do, but Yunniang reacted first and nudged her husband with her elbow: "Husband, Yao'er is calling you."
A single tear instantly rolled down Pei Erlang's cheek. He quickly lowered his head, thankfully no one noticed.
"Yao'er..." He was excited and wanted to get out of bed and walk to his Yao'er's side, but the pain in his body prevented him from getting up.
Pei Yao put down what she was holding and walked towards him. Pei Erlang's hands trembled as he grasped Pei Yao's hand, as if he were holding some rare treasure.
"Father, are you alright?"
Pei Erlang shook his head, his eyes filled with bitterness: "Father is fine, Father was just too excited. It's been so long since I've seen Yao'er, Yao'er has grown so much taller..."
His Yao'er finally spoke to him. Ever since Yao'er was found, she had been taciturn and unwilling to get close to them. He knew that Yao'er was blaming them for losing her back then and making her suffer for so many years.
After they found Yao'er, they wanted to make amends, but they were implicated by their family and exiled to Lingnan, thousands of miles away. Yao'er had suffered too much.
Pei Erlang thought countless times that it would have been better if he hadn't found Yao'er, so that Yao'er wouldn't have been implicated by them and exiled to such a far place.
Pei Yao was completely at a loss for how to handle this kind of situation, and could only accept it woodenly. However, when she saw Pei Erlang's tear that he quickly hid, she still felt a pang of sadness in her heart.

Pei Yao couldn't persuade them otherwise, so she went to ask Doctor Lin. Doctor Lin was brewing medicine when he heard Pei Yao's question. After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Is that young man from before also going back?"
"That young man from before?" Pei Yao was momentarily taken aback by Doctor Lin's abrupt change of thought; Doctor Lin was referring to Shen Yu.
"The one who was with you just now," Dr. Lin explained.
Pei Yao immediately realized: "Oh, Dr. Lin is talking about him. Yes, we're all going back together. Dr. Lin, do you need to see him?"
Dr. Lin nodded: "Yes, I'd like to discuss the prescription he just gave me with him."
Pei Yao smiled as she looked at the infatuated Doctor Lin: "Why don't you ask him yourself?"
"By the way, Dr. Lin, are my father and the others able to go home today?" Pei Yao hadn't forgotten that this was the reason she had come.
Dr. Lin thought for a moment and said, "If there's something going on at home, you can go back. Just make sure your family is careful at night. I'll prescribe a few more doses of medicine for you. Take them three times a day as prescribed."
