Chapter 166 Rongrong's Unwillingness

She leaned close to Ye Bosen and whispered a few words in his ear, then picked up her wine glass and walked towards the balcony.

Rongrong was still pestering her older brother when Xiao Qianqian approached them and said, "Big brother, come here for a moment, I have a client to introduce to you." After saying that, she smiled and glanced at Rongrong, who was still trying to pester her older brother. Rongrong saw that Xiao Qianqian had ruined her good time again, and her eyes showed resentment.

The older brother, who had been pestered by Rongrong, finally had a chance to break free. He pulled away Rongrong's hand that was reaching out to him.

"Miss Rongrong, please make yourself at home. I have other matters to attend to."

He glanced with a sigh of relief at his sister, who was still smiling at him, and said in a low voice as he walked away, "I don't know this person; she's the one who's bothering me."

"I know."

"You know?"

"Yes, I've been keeping an eye on her."

"Then why didn't you come to rescue your older brother sooner?"

"I thought my older brother would be happy to agree?"

"Which eye of yours saw me happy? My heart only belongs to your sister-in-law."

"That's more like it. If you have any other ideas today, even if you're my older brother, I'll still beat you up."

"You're so disrespectful! Oh, by the way, how did you come to notice her? Do you know her?"

"She's my godmother's goddaughter, and we don't get along."

"Oh, I see. I didn't invite her."

"I don't know how she got the invitation and sneaked in. Brother, be careful. I can tell from her eyes she's got her eye on you. Be careful, don't fall into her trap."

"I know, I'll have someone escort her out right away."

"Okay, I don't want to be distracted by staring at her all the time."

"Um."

After the two parted ways, Xiao Qianqian returned to Ye Bosen's side.

The two lowered their voices; "Is it all taken care of?"

"Yes, brother, have someone escort her out in a bit."

"That's good." Ye Bosen was already thinking that if his older brother didn't deal with it, he would arrange for someone to ask her to leave later. It was really annoying to have a fly constantly attracting his wife's attention.

The two had just whispered a few words when several more bosses came over with wine glasses. Xiao Qianqian thought that her older brother would handle Rongrong's matter, so she stopped worrying about it.

The elder brother found his assistant, gave him a few instructions, and then continued talking to the clients. Many celebrities were here today, and many clients expressed their intention to cooperate with him.

Rongrong sat on the balcony with a wine glass in her hand. The opportunity she had just had was ruined by Xiao Qianqian. This person was her nemesis.

But she was unwilling to let such a perfect man slip through her fingers.

She took a sip of red wine, tossed her curly hair aside, and thought about how to find another opportunity to get close to that man. The man Rongrong had her eye on was not going to slip away from her grasp.

She curled her red lips into a smile, preparing to take out a cigarette and think of a solution.

At this moment, a bodyguard-like person walked over. Their location was rather out of the way, so no other customers noticed them coming.

"Miss, I'm sorry, our boss would like you to leave."

"Ask me to leave? On what grounds?"

"Just because this banquet was hosted by our boss," the bodyguard said expressionlessly.

Rongrong glared at the bodyguard.

"I won't leave, I want to see him." Rongrong was unwilling to leave like this.

“Our boss said he doesn’t want to see you again,” the bodyguard said firmly.

Rongrong gritted her teeth; she wasn't going to give up so easily. She stood up, straightened her clothes, pulled down her dress slightly, and then flashed a charming smile at the bodyguard.

"If you won't take me, I'll go find him myself." After saying that, Rongrong prepared to go find Brother Xiao.

The bodyguard reached out to stop her; "Miss, please don't make things difficult for me."

"I'm going to make things difficult for you today, what can you do about it?"

"Then don't blame us for being impolite. Throwing the young lady out won't just damage our reputation," the bodyguard said expressionlessly, before waving for the other bodyguards to come over.

Rongrong was startled; she hadn't expected the bodyguards to actually attack. She backed away while trying to persuade them.

"You can't treat me like this! I'm your boss's guest!" Rongrong shouted.

However, the bodyguards ignored her words and approached Rongrong step by step.

Just as Rongrong was about to be grabbed by the bodyguards, she suddenly saw a familiar figure. It was Brother Xiao! He was walking towards her.

Rongrong was overjoyed and immediately ran towards Brother Xiao.

"Mr. Xiao, save me!" Rongrong cried out in a sweet voice.

Brother Xiao glanced at Rongrong, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes.

"How is it?" Brother Xiao asked the bodyguards.

The bodyguards bowed respectfully. "Boss, she doesn't want to leave on her own and says she wants to come find you."

"Understood," Brother Xiao waved for the bodyguards to release her temporarily.

Seeing this, Rongrong assumed that the man was interested in her. She happily walked to the man's side and reached out to take his arm, but Brother Xiao dodged her.

“Miss Rongrong, I hope you will respect yourself. I'll give you a chance; leave on your own,” Brother Xiao said coldly.

Rongrong stared wide-eyed at Brother Xiao in disbelief. "Why? Mr. Xiao, I'm your guest..."

"I don't recall sending Miss Rongrong an invitation. I don't need to explain how Miss Rongrong got her invitation, do I..."

Looking at the expressionless man in front of her, who exuded mature charm, Rongrong felt extremely unwilling to leave like this.

"What if I don't leave?" she said, tossing her curly hair and giving the man a provocative look.

"Miss Rongrong, don't blame me for being thrown out in public."

"You dare?"

"I mean what I say."

Rongrong glanced at the bustling banquet hall. This secluded spot was unnoticed. If she were thrown out, she would be finished.

She glanced at the man with the dark expression, feeling extremely unwilling, but today was clearly no longer the right time.

"You're ruthless. Just you wait, I won't let you get away with this."

Rongrong glared at the man fiercely, then turned and quickly left the banquet hall.

She walked away, gritting her teeth.

"Send someone to keep an eye on her and make sure she leaves here," Brother Xiao instructed the bodyguard.

"Okay, boss."

Having settled things here, Brother Xiao prepared to go find his sister and tell her that everything was done.

He glanced up at the banquet hall and saw his sister and brother-in-law being chatted with by several bosses. Just as he was about to walk over, the bosses saw him and came over with their wine glasses.

In Lin Yichen's office, some time had passed since the surgery. Aunt Ye's postoperative reaction was good. He got her some traditional Chinese medicine and gave it to the housekeeper to brew for her according to the instructions. Aunt Ye looked very well now, so it seemed that the genius really did have some skills.
