"Sometimes smoking a cigarette can make me feel a lot better when I'm annoyed."
The young man didn't say anything, but lit a cigarette.
Ye Bosen patted the young man on the shoulder. "Brother, this girl is nice." The young man sighed. "I know, but I've always thought of her as a little sister."
“She loves you very much,” Ye Bosen pointed out incisively.
Just then, the ward door opened, and Xiao Qianqian came out. She looked at the young man, "Shanshan wants to see you." The young man hesitated for a moment, but still went into the ward. Ye Bosen and Xiao Qianqian stayed outside.
The young man entered the ward and sat down beside Shanshan's bed. He took Shanshan's hand and whispered, "Shanshan, I'm sorry for making you sad."
Shanshan turned to look at her brother, tears welling in her eyes. "Brother, do you know? I've liked you since I was little, but you've always treated me like a little sister. I thought confessing this time would have a different outcome..."
The young man looked at Shan Shan with heartache and said, "Shan Shan, I don't want to hurt you, really. I've thought about it for a long time tonight, and I've thought about a lot of things. I... well, let's try dating."

The young man helped her lie down and tucked the blanket around her.

"Okay, you two go back. Tell your parents not to worry. I won't be going back tonight. I'll stay at the hospital to take care of Shanshan. She'll be discharged tomorrow," the young man said to the two of them.

The young man nodded, then looked at Xiao Qianqian, "Qianqian, could you please tell Shanshan's parents for me, so they won't worry?"
Xiao Qianqian nodded in agreement, "Okay, little brother, please take good care of Shanshan."
After saying that, Ye Bosen and Xiao Qianqian left the hospital together.
When the young man returned to the ward, he saw that Shanshan was already asleep. He sat quietly by the bedside and watched over her.
In the car, "Ah Sen, when did you become so close to my brother? Didn't he always dislike you?"
Xiao Qianqian still voiced her question.

"Yes."

The next day, Shanshan was discharged from the hospital without incident. After spending the night together, the young man's feelings for Shanshan gradually changed, and he slowly adapted to the change in his role.
