At this moment, Xiao Qianqian walked up to the two of them. She smiled and glanced at Rongrong, then leaned closer; "Little sister, don't you know he's my husband?"
Rongrong was stunned. She never expected that this handsome man was Xiao Qianqian's husband.
She glanced at the man in the wheelchair again, then said sarcastically, "So what if he's good-looking? He's just a cripple. What's so great about him? I don't even care."
"You don't care, but I do," Xiao Qianqian said with a smile, then turned to leave, not wanting to talk to this brainless woman anymore.
She said to Ye Bosen, "Let's go."
Ye Bosen nodded. Rongrong stood there, watching their departing figures, her heart filled with anger and jealousy.
Xiao Qianqian pushed Ye Bosen in a wheelchair, preparing to go find the two babies.
"She's your godmother's daughter?"
"Um."
"This person looks frivolous."
"I just saw her flirting with Mrs. Zhang's son, but I ruined it."
Ye Bosen turned to look at her in surprise: "I didn't know you did this kind of thing."
"I just don't want my grandparents to be sad."
"Stay away from her from now on," Ye Bosen said seriously.
"I know," Xiao Qianqian replied with a smile.
Just then, they saw two children not far away, playing by the inflatable castle. There were many children there, and the two little ones were having a great time, giggling and laughing.
Ye Bosen smiled gently, and Xiao Qianqian was also infected by his smile.
In Lin Yichen's office sat several cancer experts, all of whom were a little apprehensive, wondering why the vice president had summoned them.
"I've called you all here today because a friend of mine has cancer. Could you please take a look at her medical records and see if there's any way to cure her?"
After saying that, he handed them the medical records he had on hand.
The experts finally breathed a sigh of relief; they had thought something serious had happened.
When they received the medical records and looked at them, their faces turned serious. This patient was very difficult to treat; the disease was already in its late stages.
One of the experts spoke up: "Vice President, with our current medical technology, curing late-stage cancer is still very difficult. However, if we can find a suitable treatment method, it may be possible to prolong the patient's life."
Another expert chimed in, "Yes, we can try some new drugs and treatments, but that takes time and money."
Lin Yichen frowned. "No matter how much it costs, we must cure her."
The experts nodded in agreement, indicating they would do their best.
At this moment, a young doctor stood up and said, "Vice President, I have an idea. We can find some foreign experts to jointly study treatment plans. After all, global medical technology is constantly advancing, and perhaps there will be new breakthroughs."
A glimmer of hope flashed in Lin Yichen's eyes. "That's a good idea. Contact experts abroad immediately and invite them to join the research."
"OK."
At this point, an experienced specialist spoke up: "Sir, may I see this patient? Looking at this case file alone isn't objective; we need to see the patient, perform an examination, and then we can devise a suitable treatment plan."
“Yes, sir, that’s what I meant too,” another expert said.
"The patient is not in the country right now. If needed, I will arrange for you to see her."
"Then I'll trouble you to make the arrangements, sir. We can only come up with a treatment plan after we see the patient."
"Okay, I'll let everyone know once I've confirmed the time."
"good."
"That's alright then, everyone go back now. I'll let you know once I've confirmed the time."
"Yes, sir."
After the experts left, Lin Yichen looked at the medical record again, muttering to himself, "Xiaoya, no matter what it takes, I will cure you."
A few days later, Lin Yichen finalized the schedule, and he and the experts flew to Country C.
Inside the president's office of the Ye Group, Xiao Qianqian was engrossed in reviewing documents. She was now very familiar with the company's business, so she was able to handle things with ease. Suddenly, the phone that was placed to the side rang. She picked it up and saw that it was a call from Expert Liu, whom she had met when they went to Guilin Village together for detoxification. Why would he call her?
Xiao Qianqian was puzzled, but she still answered the phone; "Mr. Liu, what's up?"
"Little girl, you still remember me, hahaha."
"Hmm, is there something you need, Mr. Liu?"
"Yes, yes, girl, do you have any research on cancer? We heard about the very complicated brain surgery you performed on your husband last time. So, I thought you have a wide range of research interests, and I wanted to ask you if you have any knowledge of cancer."
"Cancer? Mr. Liu, you've studied quite a wide range of things."
"Actually, I've always been researching cancer; I was just there to make up the numbers last time," Expert Liu said with a smile.
"Have you encountered any difficult problems?"
"It is a bit difficult. This patient is already in the late stage. In our opinion, there is no possibility of treatment. However, the person who asked us to treat him has a lot of power. It is definitely impossible to tell him directly that there is no need for treatment. So I thought of you to see if we could take an unconventional approach. What if you can cure him?"
"Is Mr. Liu overestimating me?"
"Little girl, I've always had high hopes for you."
"Okay, then send it over so I can take a look and see if there's still any hope."
