As Liuli passed by Shichan, Shichan nodded and smiled, "Good night, may you have sweet dreams."
As Liuli's footsteps faded into the distance, Shichan, who had been writing furiously, suddenly stopped. He paused for a long time, a feeling of joy that seemed to come from nowhere filling his heart, causing his eyebrows to curve into a silent smile.
--
The next morning.
Liuli opened her eyes to the first rays of morning sunlight. Still groggy, she was filled with joy at the thought of seeing Shichan soon, and murmured to herself with a smile, "Little monk..."
She nudged the sleeping Ahua and called out, "Ahua, wake up! Wake up!"
Ahua opened her eyes groggily, her voice displeased, and meowed, "Meow..."
Liuli jumped up, put on her shoes, straightened her clothes, and said cheerfully, "Ahua, let's go play with the little monk!"
Ahua curled up and still refused to get out of bed.
Without a word, Liuli picked her up and ran outside in a flash. This action greatly displeased Ahua, who kept calling out to her.
Liuli carried Ahua to the east house and peeked inside, only to find that Shichan wasn't there. After thinking for a moment, she ran straight out of the courtyard.
She looked around at the gate of the courtyard for a while, and saw a lot of people gathered in the open space of the village on the left. She could faintly hear the voice of the monk, who was loudly explaining various scriptures.
Liuli strode over and saw the villagers sitting in a circle, with Shichan sitting cross-legged in the center. He sat on a high rock, patiently answering all the villagers' questions in detail, explaining the profound and difficult scriptures in a simple and easy-to-understand way, which made the many villagers who listened attentively nod repeatedly.
Despite his young age, Master Shi Chan possesses an extremely profound understanding and insight into various scriptures, surpassing even many seasoned monks who have dedicated their lives to spiritual practice.
Liuli found a flat rock and sat down. She looked at Shichan from afar, her eyes full of smiles and her brows and eyes gentle.
As Shi Chan's gaze swept across Liuli, he nodded to her in greeting and smiled gently.
Liuli smiled and nodded, holding the drowsy Ahua in one arm and supporting her chin with the other, listening attentively to Shichan's sermon. However, even though Shichan explained the scriptures in a way that was easy to understand, she still only understood a little bit.
Although she couldn't quite understand the scriptures that Shi Chan was saying, Liuli still stared at Shi Chan with a beaming smile, not at all bored.
