Li Molin suddenly turned around and looked closely. He saw the white light flash by and fly towards a tall, thin monk in gray robes without hesitation.
Li Molin's expression changed. He was about to give chase when the magic array suddenly shifted. The stone statues in the stone forest seemed to have all reached specific positions, each emitting a black light curtain. Some moved left, some right, some forward, and some backward, these light curtains connecting haphazardly to form a series of passages. Looking down from the sky, these passages appeared winding and interconnected, some leading to each other, some linked, but many more were dead ends blocked by a light curtain. This vast stone forest had become a square maze.
The moment the maze was formed, dense demonic energy emanated from it. The demonic energy coiled upwards, binding and pulling all the righteous youths downwards. Instantly, more than half of them were pulled down, leaving only a small number of righteous disciples struggling desperately against the pull of the demonic energy.
Shi Chan was among this small group of people. The white light that Liuli had transformed into paused in the air for a moment, then quickly found Shi Chan. In the blink of an eye, the white light rushed in front of Shi Chan and revealed Liuli's form.
Before Liuli could even speak, black demonic energy swirled around her and dragged her towards the formation. Startled, Liuli instinctively grabbed Shichan's arm to try and pull against the energy, but Shichan himself was already struggling under its pull. Caught off guard by Liuli's sudden grab, he lost his balance and, along with Liuli, plummeted into the formation.
As they fell, Liuli clung tightly to Shichan's arm. Shichan reacted quickly, not having time to ask anything, he instinctively grabbed Liuli's hand and pulled her into his arms. He held Liuli tightly, and under the pull of the demonic energy, he was forced to fall downwards.
Just as Shi Chan and Liu Li were falling, Li Molin flew over quickly. But he was too slow and couldn't catch Liu Li in time.
Li Molin hovered in the air, his face pale as he slowly withdrew his hand. He watched helplessly as Liuli and Shichan fell into the black mist of the stone forest in the blink of an eye. His face was bloodless and looked terrible.
With a faint whooshing sound, Yu Ke arrived behind Li Molin. The two were suspended in the air where demonic energy was swirling, but strangely, the demonic energy had no effect on Yu Ke and Li Molin.
"Young Master," Yu Ke called softly.
Li Molin slowly turned to look at Yu Ke. Upon seeing his expression, Yu Ke's heart skipped a beat. Li Molin's face was deathly pale, his eyes filled with terror, a terror that almost overwhelmed them, making his pupils appear a terrifying grayish-white. His lips were bloodless, and he trembled as he slowly uttered a single sentence: "Yu Ke, Liuli⦠can this formation be stopped?"
For some reason, Yu Ke couldn't bear to tell the truth. He coughed lightly and said in a hoarse voice, "Since this formation was initiated by the great god Chi You, even if all of us clansmen present join forces, we cannot stop it."
Li Molin's tall and imposing body trembled suddenly, and his face turned even paler.
At this moment, one after another, righteous disciples fell into the formation from the sky, screams rising and falling, and various colored lights fell like meteorites, drawing colorful arcs in the air.
Li Molin paused in the air for a while, then suddenly transformed into a black beam of light and swooped down into the demon array.
"Young Master!" Yu Ke's face turned pale.
A group of demons flew over and surrounded Yu Ke. Lang Yuan held onto A Hua's arm tightly and asked in a low voice, "Yu Ke, what's wrong with the young master?"
Yu Ke shook his head helplessly and sighed with a grim expression. He beckoned and said quickly, "Yu Mang, hurry back to the Demon Realm and report to the Demon Lord that the young master has entered the Man-Eating Demon Palace! Remember, be quick!"
"Yes!" Yu Mang realized the seriousness of the matter, he responded, and turned to fly hurriedly northward.
Yu Ke looked around at the remaining demons and said in a deep voice, "As for the rest of you, disperse. If I'm not mistaken, the righteous sects must have left people outside. Since they are unable to save their companions, they will definitely return to the mountain to ask their masters to come out. At that time, we will be in danger."
"What about the young master?" one of the demons asked worriedly.
Yu Ke shook his head and sighed, "We can only hope that the demon gods will protect our young master."
The group looked at each other, at a loss for what to do, and no one dared to go into the formation to rescue Li Molin. They all knew very well that entering this demonic formation meant certain death.
Finally, with no other choice, the group said goodbye to Yu Ke and scattered, flying away in groups. Only Yu Ke, Ji Jue, Lang Yuan, and A Hua remained in the original spot.
The two humans and two demons exchanged a glance, and Yu Ke sighed, "Let's go wait outside the formation."
"Alright." Ji Jue rarely looked worried, but he responded and silently flew out of the formation.
Ahua was being pulled away from the formation by Langyuan. She kept looking back, her little face full of worry. After flying for a while, she looked timidly at Langyuan, hesitated for a moment, and then asked, "Sister...sister won't be alright, will she?"
Lang Yuan turned to look at her, his cold expression softening slightly, and replied in a low voice, "Don't worry, she'll be fine."
Ahua felt a little relieved. She looked down at the maze formation on the ground and whispered, "Liang Yihan... you must be alright too..."
