Chapter 145 Bracelet

Liuli sat down with Ahua in her arms, casually glancing at the Northern Rong generals drinking heartily in the tent, then looked back at the table. She picked up her chopsticks and casually rummaged through the food on her plate, asking indifferently, "Li Molin, I think I saw you wearing a bracelet before. Why would a grown man wear a bracelet? It's so effeminate!"

"Oh?" Li Molin poured himself a glass of wine, raised it to his lips but didn't drink it. He smiled faintly and asked, "When did you see him?"

"I forgot." Liuli picked up a piece of food with her chopsticks and put it in her mouth. Her eyes were fixed on the front. Amid the noise of the tent, she could not hear what Ji Jue and Yu Ke were saying, but she could see that Yu Ke's face was full of reproach, while Ji Jue looked bitter and avoided meeting Yu Ke's gaze.

"Forgot?" Li Molin's mind raced, and his smile deepened, tinged with amusement. He downed his drink in one gulp and asked with a laugh, "Then what did that bracelet you saw look like? I have several bracelets."

"You..." Liuli looked at Li Molin with disgust, her eyes wide as she said, "Are you sick, Li Molin? You have several bracelets?"

Li Molin suppressed a laugh and said seriously, "Yeah, tell me, what kind of bracelet have you seen me wearing?"

"I don't know!" Liuli said irritably.

"Is this it?" Li Molin raised his left hand, and his sleeve slid down to reveal a jade-green bracelet. The bracelet was made of a material that was neither jade nor stone, and it was vaguely translucent, yet it had a flowing light inside, making it look exceptionally beautiful.

"Wow!" Liuli stared at the bracelet and said sincerely, "What a beautiful bracelet!"

Her eyes darted around a few times, then she smiled ingratiatingly and said, "Li Molin, why is a man like you wearing a bracelet? If others see you, they'll definitely think you're crazy... Why don't you give this bracelet to me?"

“That won’t do.” Li Molin’s eyes curved into crescent moons as he suppressed a teasing smile and said seriously, “This is a storage bracelet. Apart from the Binding God Rope, all my other treasures are kept in here.”

Where else could the Binding God Rope be placed if not in this bracelet? Li Molin's words clearly indicated that he was determined to confuse Liuli with his words.

"Really?" Liuli stared thoughtfully at the storage bracelet until Li Molin slid his sleeve down again before she looked away. She rolled her eyes and muttered, "You stingy guy!"

Li Molin carefully observed her appearance. He saw that she kept picking through the food in the plate with her chopsticks but didn't eat a single bite. Her head was lowered, and he could vaguely see her eyes, which were hidden by her hair, darting around cleverly. She must be plotting something.

After a while, she suddenly looked up at him again and asked seriously, "Li Molin, you said you have a lot of bracelets, do you also have other storage bracelets?"

Li Molin's lips curled into a wicked smile as he said, "What do you think?"

"Hmph!" Liuli's face darkened, and she turned around angrily, saying, "I don't care about you, you bastard!"

Li Molin coughed lightly a few times, covering his mouth with his hand to hide the mocking smile on his face.

--

It was late at night, when all was quiet.

Li Molin was sleeping in a small tent. The tent was simply furnished, with nothing but a simple bed.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from outside the tent. Li Molin's eyes opened instantly. He listened carefully for a moment, a smile appeared on his lips, and then he closed his eyes again.

After a while, the tent flap was lifted a crack, and a small head peeked in furtively. Liuli's bright eyes darted around, scanning the area before she quietly slipped into the tent. She tiptoed to the bedside like a thief, her mischievous eyes darting back and forth over Li Molin, and whispered, "It's not in the bracelet, so where did you put the Binding Rope...?"

She stared at him for a while, then tentatively called out in a low voice, "Li Molin... Li, Mo, Lin..."

She called out a few times but saw that Li Molin didn't respond at all, and couldn't help but smile wickedly.

She reached out her small hand and gently lifted the thin blanket covering Li Molin. He was only wearing a black undergarment, which was made of a rather thin material that clung tightly to his body, revealing the outline of his body and the texture of his skin.

Liuli had excellent eyesight. Although it was dark inside the tent, she could still see the scene clearly with the help of the faint moonlight coming from outside. Her cheeks flushed involuntarily.

Liuli's face grew increasingly red, and her breathing became slightly disordered. After thinking for a while, she turned to leave but then stopped and hesitated for a long time. She remembered that Li Molin had tied her up with the Binding God Rope several times and had threatened her with it countless times. Her face darkened, and she gritted her teeth and turned back, reaching out her small hands to carefully search Li Molin's body.

Suddenly, Li Molin let out a low, hoarse cough. Liu Li was startled and quickly withdrew her hand, taking several steps back. When she steadied herself and looked closely, she saw that Li Molin's eyes were closed, his breathing was steady, and he showed no signs of waking up.

"Li Molin?" Liu Li called softly, but Li Molin didn't respond at all. She patted her chest and let out a soft sigh, muttering under her breath, "Bastard!"

After waiting a while, Liuli tiptoed over and continued searching Li Molin's body. Just as she was carefully searching, Li Molin suddenly moved, startling her again. She quickly stepped back and saw Li Molin roll over. Whether intentionally or not, as he turned, his hand rose and almost hit her.

Liuli's face grew increasingly gloomy. After Li Molin finished turning over, she walked over slowly and began searching around his pillow. She searched carefully for a while, then looked around and her gaze fell on a pile of clothes that Li Molin had placed at the foot of the bed.

She tiptoed to the foot of the bed, covering Li Molin with the blanket as she went. Soon, she reached the foot of the bed and picked up Li Molin's clothes one by one, shaking them out, but she couldn't find any trace of the Binding Rope.

Liuli threw the clothes down angrily, looking annoyed, and muttered in a low voice, "Damn it, you hid them pretty well."

After feeling annoyed for a while, her little mouth was so pouty it could probably hold something, and she muttered unwillingly, "You wait, this isn't over!"

She turned around and stormed off.

Long after Liuli left, a low laugh suddenly broke the silence in the tent, a laugh that seemed to come from the chest, carrying a heartfelt joy.

Soon, the laughter gradually subsided, and Li Molin lay facing inward, his expression somewhat bewildered.

Such a happy laugh seemed to have been gone from him for a long time. Perhaps it was after his mother left, or perhaps even earlier. When he was a young child, he saw his father and mother arguing day after day, and he forgot what happiness was and how to truly laugh.
