"Come with me, little monk!" Liuli grabbed Shichan's hand and pulled him towards the door.
Shi Chan pulled his hand away from Liuli's and whispered, "This humble monk will not leave, and absolutely cannot leave! Miss, you should leave quickly, or you won't be able to leave!"
“Shi Chan!” Shi Ning said in a deep voice, “Do you know what you’re saying?”
At this moment, Shi Chan was only worried about Liu Li's safety and couldn't think of anything else. He watched as Shi Ning and the others approached, forming an encirclement. How could Liu Li possibly escape? In despair, he turned around and knelt down in front of Shi Ning, pleading, "Senior brother, please let her go!"
"Shi Chan!" Shi Ning's chest heaved violently, his face flushed with anger. He stared coldly at Shi Chan and said in a chilling voice, "Get up right now, what kind of posture do you have?!"
Shi Chan looked at Shi Ning with almost desperate eyes. He didn't get up, but looked up at Shi Ning and pleaded, "Senior brother, please let her go!"
Liuli grabbed Shichan's arm and tried to pull him up. Her face was stern, and she said in a cold voice, "Little monk, you don't need to beg him. I don't want you to beg him like this!"
At this moment, Shi Ning and Shi Fan approached one after the other. Shi Fan glared angrily and shouted, "Hey! You vile fox, stop your insolence! Release Junior Brother Shi Chan at once!"
With a wave of his Vajra pestle, a flash of golden light appeared, and the angry Buddha statue among the three Buddha images in the middle of the pestle suddenly emerged from the pestle and grew rapidly in the wind, instantly transforming into an angry Buddha face half the height of a person. The Buddha face let out a loud shout and charged menacingly towards Liuli.
"Brother Shi Fan!" Shi Chan was shocked. He almost instinctively stood up and pulled Liu Li behind him to protect her.
The angry Buddha statue was incredibly fast. Moreover, Shi Fan was only a few feet away from Liuli and Shi Chan. The Buddha statue rushed in front of Shi Chan almost as soon as it appeared. Shi Chan only had time to pull Liuli behind him and didn't even have time to put on the Seven Treasures Kasaya.
"Little monk!" Liuli exclaimed in surprise. She was pulled behind Shichan and barely managed to stand up when she saw a dazzling golden light crash into him with a loud bang.
Shi Chan felt a sharp pain in his chest and involuntarily took two steps back. Liu Li followed him, then quickly circled around to Shi Chan's side and looked closely. She saw that the angry face of the Buddha statue, upon impacting him, immediately scattered, transforming into sharp beams of Buddhist light that ripped his clothes to shreds and left numerous wounds on his body, staining it red with blood. It was only because Shi Fan realized the danger and quickly withdrew the sharp beams of Buddhist light that Shi Chan was seriously injured, or even killed, by this single attack.
"Little monk!" Liuli exclaimed in alarm. She quickly supported Shichan's swaying body and asked anxiously, "Are you alright, little monk?"
At this moment, Shi Chan's brows were furrowed and sweat beaded on his forehead. He endured the pain all over his body without uttering a sound, but he really had no energy left to respond to Liuli.
By this time, the Bodhi Temple disciples, who had dispersed, had lit all the candles on the lamp holders in the Buddha hall, gradually illuminating the space. Amidst the commotion, more and more Bodhi Temple disciples could be heard filing into the Buddha hall.
Shi Ning and Shi Fan looked at Shi Chan with particularly complex expressions, containing anger, pity, and heartache. The two silently watched Shi Chan's pained appearance, remaining silent for a moment.
At this moment, Shi Chan appeared extremely disheveled. His clothes were tattered and torn, each tear stained red with blood. Right on his left chest, a tear had ripped open a hidden pocket in his monk's robe. With his staggering steps and swaying body, a torrent of blood flowed from the tear in the pocket. Just then, something stained with blood gently fell to the ground.
The intense pain caused Shi Chan's vision to blur in waves. He was busy healing his wounds with the Buddhist power within him, so he naturally didn't notice the thing that had fallen out of the hidden bag. Meanwhile, Liu Li was completely focused on Shi Chan; she couldn't see anything else.
Shi Ning and Shi Fan stared intently at the object on the ground. It was about the size of an infant's fist and resembled a flower. The flower was stained red with blood, but fortunately, the blood hadn't covered the entire flower; one could still vaguely discern that it was originally pink. A ring of translucent, round pearls was sewn around the flower's stamen; some pearls were dyed red, while others remained as they were, gleaming with a lustrous sheen.
Shi Fan looked confused. He exchanged a glance with Shi Ning, who nodded and gave him a meaningful look.
Shi Fan then walked over, bent down and picked up the flower. He tried to wipe the blood off the flower, but unfortunately the flower petals were made of silk, and the petals had already absorbed the blood, so he couldn't wipe it off.
Shi Fan examined the flower in his hand closely for a long time, his anger growing stronger, his body trembling with rage. He looked up angrily at Shi Chan, then turned to Shi Ning, and said angrily, "Abbot, I have seen this on a woman's head when I was traveling in the human world; it must be a woman's ornament!"
Upon hearing Shi Fan's words, Shi Ning's face darkened, and the Bodhi Temple disciples who had already gathered around erupted in an uproar.
He vaguely heard Shi Fan's words, and he subconsciously reached for the hidden pocket in his chest, but he didn't find the beaded flower that he always kept close to his body. He was shocked, his mind went blank, and cold sweat poured down his forehead, gathering together and winding its way down.
