Shi Ning felt a chill run down his spine, and his expression changed. Thousands! There were thousands! And so it went until the moon quietly disappeared and the sun rose, when Shi Chan finally reached the foot of the mountain.
He clutched a blood-stained beaded flower tightly in his hand and held the monk's robe given to him by Shi Ning close to his chest. He stood at the foot of the mountain, looking up at Bodhi Temple, his eyes filled with longing and reluctance.
After watching in silence for a long while, Shi Chan sighed, turned around and left. His steps were slow, but he never stopped again.
