Chapter 249 Not Dead

After memorizing all the incantations, Liuli first said to Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan, "Yu Xin, Ge Yiyuan, you two go first and wait for me at the southern edge of the grassland!"

Yu Xin and the other person were flying over quickly when they heard Liu Li's words. They both responded "yes" and turned to fly away.

The remaining members of both the righteous and demonic factions had no time to pay attention to Yu Xin and Liu Li. They quickly surrounded them, completely encircling Liu Li.

Liuli slowly rose from the lotus platform. Her black clothes and unbound black hair fluttered in the wind, dancing wildly behind her. The golden light emanating from the lotus platform reflected on her indifferent face, making her look both desolate and stunningly beautiful.

Liuli's indifferent gaze swept lightly over Shichan's bewildered and confused face. Then, she looked around at the Buddhist disciples gathered together and gave a cold smile.

Soon, the Buddhist disciples recognized Liuli. Many of them knew her, and a sense of panic spread throughout the area where the disciples were gathered, accompanied by a jumble of exclamations.

"Nine-tailed fox!"

"It's that nine-tailed fox!"

"The wicked fox is not dead?!"

"..."

Liuli stood in mid-air on the lotus platform. She first looked at Shichan and said with a wicked smile, "Monk Shichan, I haven't thanked you for helping me obtain the treasure!"

Upon hearing Liuli's words, the Buddhist disciples were in an uproar. They all looked in the direction of Shichan, their gazes filled with a complex mix of disbelief, disdain, mockery, and blame.

Over the years, Shi Chan has not re-entered Bodhi Temple, but he has been traveling throughout the Central Plains under the Dharma name Shi Chan, spreading Buddhism and saving suffering beings. If any extraordinary treasures appear, he will go there, but he will not deliberately seize them. He simply helps Buddhist disciples resist the demons. Over time, the disciples of Bodhi Temple have gradually forgotten the mistakes Shi Chan made, and some familiar disciples will even greet him.

Shi Ning was very satisfied with this situation. He was just waiting for the right time, when everything would fall into place, before he could reintroduce Shi Chan to the temple.

However, as soon as Liuli said this, Shichan's image plummeted once again, making it almost impossible for him to re-enter the temple.

But Shi Chan paid no attention to any of this. The expression on his face changed from bewilderment to confusion, from confusion to excitement, and then from excitement to ecstatic joy. Tears welled up in his eyes as he exclaimed, "Miss Liuli, is it really you? Is all of this real? You're really not dead?"

Liuli glanced indifferently at Shichan, completely ignoring his repeated questions.

She turned to look at the group of Buddhist disciples and raised her voice, saying, "Back then, you Buddhist monks wiped out my entire Nine-Tailed Fox clan. I, Liuli, was fortunate to survive. That was a blessing for my Nine-Tailed Fox clan, but a calamity for you Buddhist monks! Now, it is time for you to pay for your blood debt!!"

Yuanjue stared in shock at Liuli on the lotus platform. Liuli's appearance and words filled him with extreme unease, and his murderous intent surged. He shouted, "All Buddhist disciples, listen up! You must kill this wicked fox and retrieve the treasure!"

He paused for a moment, his face turning icy cold, and then he coldly shouted, "If this vile fox doesn't die, I, Buddha, will not be at peace!"

All the Buddhist disciples wore solemn expressions and shouted in unison, "Kill the evil fox! If the evil fox doesn't die, Buddha will not be at peace!!"

Liuli gave a cold laugh, tilting her head and smirking, "Kill me? First, you'll have to catch me!"

After she finished speaking, she recited a spell, and the lotus platform beneath her feet suddenly shone with golden light. The lotus platform quickly flew into the sky and disappeared in an instant.

Yuanjue's face was grim. He glanced at Shichan, sighed heavily, and shouted, "Chase after them! Kill this wicked fox! Our Buddhist treasure must never fall into the hands of this wicked fox!"

"yes!"

The Buddhist disciples responded and flew off with the Pratyekabuddha, chasing after the golden light of the lotus platform.

Shi Chan stared in bewilderment at the direction where Liuli had disappeared, his voice heavy with sorrow as he murmured, "Was that really Miss Liuli? How could she... have become like this?"

After a moment's pause, he flew up and chased after it.

The remaining Daoist disciples gathered together for a moment to discuss the matter. After collecting the corpses of their fellow disciples, they dispersed and returned to their respective sects. The demons, however, had no goodwill towards Liuli and showed no intention of helping her. They left one after another, some returning to their own blessed lands, and others going back to the demon realm to report.

Even though Liuli's cultivation level wasn't high enough, and she was using magic to drive the nine-colored lotus platform, the platform's speed was still extremely fast, more than ten times faster than when Liuli flew at full speed normally.

So how could the Buddhist disciples catch up with her? In a short time, Liuli left them far behind. After meeting up with Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan at the southern edge of the grassland, she leisurely flew towards the Central Plains.

By this time, Liuli had already left the Buddhist disciples behind. She slowed down to take care of Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan, and flew forward all the way.

Yu Xin looked at Liuli with envy and said with a smile, "Miss, this is a wonderful treasure, but it's a pity that it's a Buddhist treasure."

Liuli sat cross-legged on the lotus platform and said with a wicked smile, "It would be even better if it were a Buddhist treasure. I want those Buddhist monks to hate me to the extreme but be helpless. Wouldn't that be satisfying?"

Ge Yiyuan looked at the lotus platform carefully and said, "Miss, you can use your magic to refine this lotus platform from time to time. Over time, you can turn the lotus platform into a treasure of the demon race."

“I know,” Liuli replied calmly.

"Miss, where are we going next? Are we going back to the Demon Realm?" Yu Xin asked curiously.

Liuli scoffed, "Now that you're out, why go back?"

Ge Yiyuan asked with a smile, "So what's our next step?"
