Ge Yiyuan quickly arrived in front of the yellow-robed monk, threw his bladed fan, and it transformed into twelve sharp rays that rushed forward.
The yellow-robed monk remained remarkably calm as the twelve sharp beams approached. He rapidly spun the prayer beads in his hand, chanting Buddhist mantras. Golden light emanated from the beads, gathering in the air to form enormous demon-subduing talismans that met the twelve beams head-on.
The moment the blade made contact with the demon-subduing talisman, the talisman immediately dissipated, but the blade's forward momentum was blocked, and it stopped in mid-air.
Ge Yiyuan raised his hand and summoned the twelve sharp beams back into the blade fan itself. He quickly approached the yellow-robed monk, his wrist nimbly wielding the fan, each silver blade aimed at the monk's vital points.
The yellow-robed monk didn't seem to have any intention of fighting Ge Yiyuan. He blocked a few of Ge Yiyuan's attacks, then took an opportunity to back away and flew far away.
Ge Yiyuan had threatened to kill the monk at Liuli's place, so how could he let him escape? Without hesitation, he immediately chased after him.
Liuli watched this scene from a distance, frowning and muttering, "Something's not right..."
"What's wrong, young lady?" Yu Xin asked, puzzled.
Looking in the direction the yellow-robed monk had fled, Liuli pondered, "If that monk didn't want to fight, he could have returned to the mountain gate. Why did he run off in another direction?"
Yu Xin nodded and said, "In that case, it really is..."
Liuli paused for a moment, then a thought flashed through her mind. She hurriedly said, "Yu Xin, quickly go and call Ge Yiyuan back. There must be a trap!"
"Yes!" Yu Xin responded. She quickly took flight, chasing after the direction Ge Yiyuan had flown off in, and shouted, "Ge Yiyuan! Stop! Ge Yiyuan, stop!"
Ge Yiyuan and the yellow-robed monk were moving extremely fast. Liuli and Yu Xin had been talking for a while, so how could Yu Xin catch up now? Moreover, no matter how loudly she shouted, Ge Yiyuan showed no sign of stopping, probably because he was flying too fast and couldn't hear her at all.
"That idiot!" Liuli was furious. After all, Ge Yiyuan had followed her for many years, and she couldn't just stand by and watch him fall into the trap. After thinking for a moment, she took flight, and just as she flew forward for about a hundred feet, the nine-colored lotus platform appeared beneath her feet.
Liuli gracefully sat down cross-legged, and the lotus platform beneath her moved suddenly, appearing beside Yu Xin as if by teleportation. Liuli slowed the movement of the lotus platform and said calmly, "Yu Xin, I'm going to take a look. You follow from a distance. If Ge Yiyuan and I fall into a Buddhist trap, then go... and ask for help."
The reason for her hesitation was that Liuli suddenly realized she didn't know where to ask Yu Xin for help. The world was so big, who would come to her rescue just because Liuli was in danger?
Only then did Yu Xin realize the seriousness of the situation. Her expression turned solemn, and she nodded, saying, "Alright, if you are in danger, I will return to the Demon Clan to find Young Master Lin!"
"Young Master Lin?" Liuli was taken aback, filled with doubt, and hesitated before asking, "Why did you say you were going to find him?"
Yu Xin, with an air of self-righteousness, retorted, "Who else should I look for if not Young Master Lin?"
For many years, Liuli deliberately kept her distance from Li Molin's closeness. She was extremely wary of him, never believing that he would risk his life to save her for no reason. She was convinced that he had something to gain from her.
No matter how she asked, Li Molin refused to reveal his intentions, which made Liuli very uneasy, so she could only keep her distance from him.
"He..." Liuli hesitated, "Will he come to save me?"
Yu Xin asked in surprise, "Why would you ask that, Miss? Don't you know...?"
"Enough!" Seeing that the light emanating from Ge Yiyuan's body was almost gone, Liuli didn't want to say anything more. She coldly interrupted Yu Xin and said, "Suit yourself!"
After saying this, the lotus platform she sat on flashed with light and disappeared in an instant.
Yu Xin stared in surprise at Liu Li's retreating figure, clicking her tongue and saying, "No way, no way... Young Master Lin likes you so much, you wouldn't be unaware of that, would you?"
The lotus platform that Liuli sat on was extremely fast, but she was delayed for a while. Meanwhile, Ge Yiyuan and the yellow-robed monk had already flown far away and changed direction, suddenly flying into the mountains.
"Ge Yiyuan!" Liuli's expression changed, and she shouted loudly, but Ge Yiyuan did not hear her at all.
Liuli was furious and said in a cold voice, "Fool! Can't you see that they were deliberately leading him there?!"
At that time, Ge Yiyuan followed closely behind the yellow-robed monk. The monk was extremely tactful, neither letting Ge Yiyuan catch up nor widening the distance between them too much to discourage Ge Yiyuan from pursuing him. Moreover, the monk frequently looked back as he flew forward, his face filled with panic, as if he were very afraid of Ge Yiyuan.
Seeing the monk's appearance, Ge Yiyuan became even more excited and chased after him, completely ignoring the scenery around him.
When he heard Liuli's faint shouts behind him, he had already been led by the yellow-robed monk into a valley.
Upon reaching this point, the yellow-robed monk ahead suddenly began to descend, and out of the corner of his eye, Ge Yiyuan saw a throng of bald heads moving in the valley below. He was shocked and immediately turned to fly away, but just then, Liuli finally caught up with him.
Liuli reached out and grabbed Ge Yiyuan at the edge of the lotus platform. At the same time, she urged the lotus platform she was sitting on to fly away from the valley.
Suddenly, beams of golden light intertwined to form a large net, enveloping the valley above.
When Liuli saw the large net appear, her mind went blank for a moment. She suddenly remembered that summer afternoon many years ago when she ran away from Fox Plains and was caught in a hunter's net. Then she met the gray-robed monk. She vaguely remembered his smile and gentle eyes. Even though her heart was as cold as ice, she still felt a warmth that came from nowhere.
The next moment, Liuli crashed headfirst into the net.
The golden net was extremely flexible. In an instant, the demonic light emanating from Liuli propelled her more than ten zhang upwards against the net, but despite Liuli's immense force, the net remained unbroken. Liuli immediately took out her Winged Spirit Whip and lashed it at the net, but still couldn't create a single tear.
Just then, a loud Buddhist chant rang out in the valley, and a large ray of golden light rose into the air and poured into the large net above their heads, making the net shine brightly with golden light for a moment.
Liuli sensed a tremendous force coming from above, and then she felt her body become heavy. Suddenly, she was bounced back by the large net and fell straight down into the valley.
As Liuli descended, she released Ge Yiyuan, sat upright on the lotus platform, and stabilized the platform, which was about ten feet above the ground.
Ge Yiyuan was helplessly slammed to the ground by the force of the net's rebound.
Looking down, Liuli saw that the valley was filled with monks and nuns, numbering roughly over three hundred. After careful observation, she discovered that there were three monks at the Buddha Heart Realm, two of whom were Buddhist monks and one nun. The remaining three hundred or so were mostly monks at the Relic Realm.
