After saying this with hatred in her voice, Liuli began to think incessantly about how to make Shichan suffer the same pain of losing everything as she did, and how to make him endure the torment of hatred.
But after thinking for a while, Liuli frowned and helplessly realized that it seemed that Shichan had no important people around him. He had no relatives, no friends, and even his sect had expelled him. He was completely alone.
Right, his Buddha, his devotion to Buddhism—these are what matter most to him. So…
Liuli fixed her gaze, her small face darkening. She thought bitterly, "Then I'll destroy his pure Buddhist body, ruin his path of cultivation, and prevent him from becoming a Buddha and saving sentient beings!"
Thinking this, Liuli left the futon and knelt in front of Shichan. She placed her hands on Shichan's cheeks and suddenly kissed his lips.
Shi Chan was taken aback by Liuli's sudden action. His eyes widened in astonishment as he stared at Liuli's face, which was so close to his.
The gentle touch on his lips instantly reminded him of years ago, in the Demon Palace, when she forcibly fed him a Rejuvenating Pill to make him swallow it. He vaguely remembered the warmth and softness of her lips, which sent shivers down his spine and left him bewildered. But now, those lips were as cold as ice.
With her eyes tightly closed, Liuli kissed Shichan's lips forcefully. Driven by a feeling she couldn't quite define as either hatred or longing, she bit his lower lip hard, her mouth instantly filled with a sweet, metallic taste.
Shi Chan was completely unaware of the pain in his lips; he was simply stunned as he stared at Liu Li's long, delicate eyelashes.
After a long while, Liuli released Shichan, her face full of hatred, and said through gritted teeth, "Aren't you devoted to Buddhism and cultivation? Don't you want to save all sentient beings and make hell empty? Then I'll make sure you break the precepts, fail to become a Buddha, and can't save even a single person!"
As she spoke, she moved her hand to Shi Chan's chest, her small hand trembling as she tried to unbutton his clothes. Whether it was from excitement or shyness, she struggled for a long time but couldn't undo even a single button.
"Miss!" Shi Chan suddenly realized what was happening. He was shocked and immediately grabbed Liuli's small hand, exclaiming, "Miss, please don't do this..."
Liuli forcefully shook off Shichan's hand, her small face downcast, but she still wanted to explain the buttons on Shichan's clothes.
"Liuli!" A deep, angry voice suddenly came from the side, calling out in a cold tone.
Liuli paused, then turned to look at Li Molin who had suddenly appeared beside her. Her small hands nervously unbuttoned Shi Chan's clothes.
Li Molin's face was gloomy, and he said coldly, "If you hate him, just kill him. What are you doing?"
"I..." The blush on Liuli's face became even more pronounced. After all, she was just an unmarried girl, and her knowledge of matters between men and women was limited to a few occasional whispers from Yu Xin. Now that Li Molin had caught her in this situation, she felt flustered.
A moment later, Liuli's face contorted with anger, a look of utter rage and embarrassment on her face. She rose abruptly, her voice icy, and said, "I will naturally kill him, but before that, I will make him wish he were dead!"
She desperately wanted to leave and escape this awkward situation, so she flicked her sleeves and stormed towards the back hall. As she passed Li Molin, she coldly said, "Young Master Li, please lock this monk up and have Ge Yiyuan and the others keep an eye on him."
She didn't mention Yu Xin, presumably still harboring ulterior motives. Li Molin's face darkened.
After taking a few steps past Li Molin, Liuli suddenly stopped. Without turning around, she said in a deep voice, "Don't kill him. I want to kill him with my own hands!"
Liuli's footsteps quickly faded into the distance. Li Molin coldly stared at Shi Chan, who was still in a daze, and found the bloodstains on his lips particularly glaring.
After a moment of silence, he waved his hand, releasing a large amount of demonic light that tightly enveloped and bound Shi Chan. Then, the light shone brightly, dragging Shi Chan and him towards the backyard.
Li Molin threw Shi Chan into the woodshed in the backyard, gave him a cold look, and then left.
He slowly walked out of the woodshed, sealed the door with magic, and then knocked on the door of Yu Ke's meditation room as he passed it on his way back to his room.
"Who is it?" came Yu Ke's voice from the meditation room, sounding lazy, as if he had already fallen asleep.
“It’s me,” Li Molin replied calmly.
A rustling sound of clothes came from inside the room. After a while, Yu Ke opened the door and asked in confusion, "What's wrong, young master?"
Li Molin said calmly, "Go to the woodshed and keep an eye on that monk. In another hour, have Ji Jue or Lang Yuan take your place. The three of you will have to work hard tonight and take turns watching him."
Yu Ke was taken aback for a moment, then said, "What? Wasn't it Yu Xin watching him?"
Li Molin's face darkened, and he said coldly, "Don't ask any more questions, you can go now."
"Yes, young master." Seeing that Li Molin was angry, Yu Ke dared not ask any more questions and quickly came out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Li Molin's expression was unfriendly as he turned and walked towards his meditation room.
Yu Ke glanced at Li Molin's retreating figure, shook her head helplessly, and walked in the opposite direction from Li Molin toward the woodshed.
It wasn't until midnight that Yu Ke came out of the woodshed. Since Lang Yuan's meditation room was closest to the woodshed, he went to Lang Yuan's room and knocked on the door.
At that time, Langyuan was sleeping in bed, while Lingxi was curled up on a blanket on the floor. She was a light sleeper and woke up first when she heard the knocking. She looked warily toward the door.
A moment later, Lang Yuan on the bed stirred and mumbled, "Who's there?"
