Seeing that Liuli was about to make a move, Shi Chan anxiously said, "Miss, could you please not make a move? This humble monk only wants to have a proper talk with you. Once you resolve the knot in your heart, this humble monk will immediately surrender and be killed by you without fighting back!"
The crimson ribbon in Liuli's hand fluttered wildly in the wind. She smiled coldly and said in a chilling voice, "Do you think I would believe you? You don't need to hold back; I can kill you myself!"
As she spoke, she threw the Crimson Soul Ribbon out of her hand. The crimson ribbon fluttered in the wind and instantly grew to be over ten feet wide, rushing towards Shi Chan at high speed.
"Girl!" Shi Chan's expression changed, and he hurriedly retreated, but the ribbon seemed to have eyes, relentlessly pursuing him and almost catching up. Shi Chan retreated quickly, not daring to relax for a moment, and in the blink of an eye, he had retreated to the edge of the island. Helpless, he had no choice but to fly up and retreat all the way to the sea.
"Yu Xin, Ge Yiyuan, you two wait here, no need to help me!" Liu Li hurriedly instructed, then lightly touched the ground with her toes and quickly flew up to chase after Shi Chan.
Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan exchanged a glance. Yu Xin shook her head and sighed, "My girl, you're such a hypocrite. You keep saying you want to kill that monk, but deep down you can't bear to. You won't even let the two of us do it. Tsk tsk, what's the point..."
Ge Yiyuan wholeheartedly agreed, sighing, "That's right..."
And so, Shi Chan flew backward through the air, with Chi Hun in hot pursuit, while Liu Li flew forward at breakneck speed, always maintaining a distance of more than ten feet from Shi Chan.
In the blink of an eye, the man and the fox had left the island they had just been on and were flying over the vast ocean.
During this process, the Crimson Soul Belt was a tiny bit faster. Suddenly, the Crimson Soul Belt unfurled in the wind and caught up with Shi Chan. The head of the ribbon touched Shi Chan's body and the tail curled up, deftly trying to bind him.
Shi Chan was startled. The Crimson Soul Belt was so flexible and resilient, like a living thing, that he couldn't shake it off at all. Helpless, he was about to put on the Seven Treasures Kasaya to resist the binding of the Crimson Soul Belt, but the Crimson Soul Belt was suddenly taken back by Liuli's beckoning.
Liuli was unaware of her own thoughts; she acted impulsively, summoning Shichan back just as the Crimson Soul Belt was about to bind him. It seemed she subconsciously didn't want to see him bound by the Crimson Soul Belt and then drained of his life force, reduced to a dried-up corpse?
Thinking of this, Liuli gripped the Crimson Soul Belt tightly, her face darkening with anger.
Shi Chan's face lit up with joy. He paused in mid-air, looking at Liuli from afar, clasped his hands together, and said with a smile, "Thank you for showing mercy, young lady."
"Hmph!" Liuli snorted coldly, her face darkening.
At that moment, dark clouds loomed overhead, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled, and a howling wind swept across the sky, brushing against the figures of Shi Chan and Liu Li standing in mid-air. Even though this human and fox were different from ordinary people due to their cultivation, their bodies still swayed a few times and they could hardly maintain their balance in the strong wind.
Meanwhile, on the lower sea surface, waves surged and roared, creating a deafening sound.
Shi Chan looked up at the sky, a hint of worry creeping onto his face. Amidst the sounds of wind, thunder, and waves, he had no choice but to raise his voice and say, "Miss, the weather is really bad. Let's hurry back to the island we just left on!"
Liuli said coldly, "I will go back after I kill you!"
Having said that, she put away the Crimson Soul Belt, took out the Winged Spirit Whip, and with a flick of her wrist, a silver-white whip shadow formed in the air, yet it rushed towards Shi Chan steadily and quickly amidst the raging wind.
Shi Chan skillfully dodged the whip shadow that resembled a serpent. He frowned as he looked at Liuli and continued to advise, "Miss, a storm is about to break out. It would be bad if we were stranded at sea."
Liuli did not answer. She flew forward quickly, and when she was close to Shichan, she raised her long whip and lashed it at Shichan's head without any hesitation.
Shi Chan did not retaliate. He moved to the left to avoid the sharp whip, but before he could regain his footing, Liu Li had already turned the whip around and lashed it out at his waist.
“Miss…” Shi Chan quickly dodged Liu Li’s long whip and said earnestly with great helplessness, “Can we talk calmly?”
"No!" Liuli uttered two words in a cold voice, and lashed out with the whip again.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the dark world. Immediately afterward, a thunderous roar shook the heavens and the earth. The thunder was so loud that even a man as resolute as Shi Chan couldn't help but tremble in fright. Liu Li's face turned pale, and her demonic power leaked out, almost causing her frail body to be blown away by the gale.
"Girl!" Shi Chan was startled. He instinctively tried to fly to Liuli to grab her, but fortunately, Liuli steadied herself in the next moment.
After regaining her footing, Liuli's face grew even more gloomy. She looked up at the thick, dark clouds that seemed to press down on her, and then looked around. She realized that she and Shichan were floating above the vast ocean, and all she could see was the ocean.
Liuli finally realized something was wrong. She thought she hadn't flown very far, and the island she had just seen should still be visible. But she had seriously underestimated her and Shichan's speed. They were now so far away from the island that they could no longer see it at all.
Liuli turned her head and looked around, trying to figure out the direction and return to the island she had just been on. Just then, accompanied by rumbling thunder, a torrential downpour began.
A sudden storm struck, the rain so heavy and intense that it blurred Liuli's vision in an instant. Before she could even react, she was drenched, and the howling wind nearly made her lose her footing.
