A silver flying sword streaked across the sky like a meteor, almost teleporting to Liang Yihan's front. The flying sword circled Liang Yihan once, blocking all the icy blades.
The flying sword continued its relentless, its sharp edge hurtling towards Long Mu and the dozen or so other dragons.
Unable to withstand the sword's edge, the dragons retreated and kept their distance.
A multitude of sword lights appeared in the sky in an instant, landing one after another to surround Liang Yihan, protecting him on the innermost side.
Liang Yihan let out a soft breath, and the storage ring on his hand flashed, storing the crimson flying sword that had been floating beside him.
Liu Li looked at Liu Lingying and the others with a grim expression. After a quick count, there were probably thirty or forty people from the Yuandao Sect. These disciples were all quite powerful, with the weakest having reached the Nascent Soul stage. Moreover, there was Liu Lingying, who had already stepped into the Void Transformation stage. These people were indeed not easy to deal with.
Liuli's plan fell through, and she was filled with resentment. She turned to look at Shichan, deeply hating him for ruining her plans. If it weren't for his meddling, Long Mu and the other dragons would have returned long ago, and she could have killed Liang Yihan long ago and successfully framed the Buddhist disciples for his death. How could she have waited until Liu Lingying arrived?
Liu Lingying stood at the very front of the group of Yuandao Sect disciples, looked around, and said to Liuli, "Fox, what trouble have you gotten yourself into this time?"
Liu Li stared coldly at Liu Lingying, weighing the pros and cons in her mind. She knew that although her side had a large number of people, Liu Lingying in the opposing camp was already a master of the Transformation Void stage. If they really fought, they would not have an advantage.
A moment later, Liuli spoke in a cold voice, saying, "All divine beasts, listen up, retreat!"
Having said that, the lotus platform she was sitting on shifted and flew into the air. Before flying away, she looked in the direction of Shi Chan and said coldly, "Shi Chan, you have ruined my plans time and time again. I will never forgive you!"
She snorted coldly and steered the lotus platform away quickly into the distance. The direction she flew in was the same direction from which the seven-colored light had shone brightly just moments before.
Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan, along with more than three hundred divine beast youths, all withdrew their hands, shouted loudly, and flew up, chasing after Liuli in groups of three or five.
The disciples of Yuandao Sect were young and impetuous, and seeing Liang Yihan's miserable injuries, most of them were filled with righteous indignation. When they saw Liuli and the others leave one after another, they clamored and asked to chase after them, but Liu Lingying raised her hand to stop them.
Shi Chan stopped and took a breather, gazing at the direction Liu Li had flown away. Just as he was hesitating whether to chase after her, he heard Liang Yihan call out loudly, "Little Master Shi Chan!"
He turned his head and saw Liang Yihan, supported by a disciple of the Yuandao Sect, stand up and walk out from the crowd. He bowed to him and said loudly, "I owe my life to my little master today."
After a moment of silence, Shi Chan said in a low voice, "Today, I am not here to save Fellow Daoist Liang, but to save our righteous path from endless disputes that would only benefit the demons."
Liang Yihan shook his head and smiled, saying calmly, "I know that my little master is dissatisfied with me because of the Demon Ant Gu, but I was truly framed by the demons. Right now, I, Liang Yihan, have no evidence and cannot defend myself, but in a few days I will definitely find evidence to prove my innocence."
Shi Chan said gently, "That would be best. Fellow Daoist Liang can clear his name, and the Buddhist and Taoist factions can also put an end to their war."
Liang Yihan nodded and said with a faint smile, "In any case, thank you very much, young master, for today."
Shi Chan bowed in a Buddhist gesture and said with a smile, "Fellow Daoist Liang, there's no need to be so polite. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave now."
"Goodbye, little master." Liang Yihan bowed in return.
Shi Chan nodded, turned and flew away. The direction he flew in was clearly the same direction Liu Li had left in.
