Liuli was originally wandering around the demon array with Li Molin. They were searching for a place where the Chiyou Banner might be hidden. During this time, they encountered several righteous disciples, all of whom were killed by them. The direction they were heading happened to lead to the center of the demon array.
As they walked, they spotted Liu Lingying and Li Gan from a great distance. They exchanged a glance and hurried over.
Li Molin walked quickly and soon arrived in front of Liuli. Because Li Molin was focused on Liu Lingying and Li Gan, he ignored the sounds around him, but Liuli heard them clearly.
She heard the sounds of fighting and instinctively turned her head to look in the direction from which the sounds came from. It was to her and Li Molin's left, about a hundred feet away from them. Golden light illuminated the surrounding black mist, and Liuli could clearly see the tall, thin monk in the golden light.
Liuli frowned and muttered to herself in a cold voice, "Why does he have to come and join in the fun!"
She hesitated, then turned back to look at Li Molin's back. He was rushing towards Liu Lingying and Li Gan like a madman. Looking further into the distance, Liu Li saw Liu Lingying holding Li Gan tightly, her body radiating a bright blue light, as if she was about to self-destruct her primordial spirit and perish together with Li Gan.
Liuli paused for a moment, then turned and walked to the left.
At that time, two demon generals were besieging Shi Chan. Even though Shi Chan was protected by the Seven Treasures Kasaya, he was still being beaten back step by step and could no longer hold on.
Those two demon generals were extremely powerful, both having reached the Demon Lord realm. With his late-stage Buddhist Heart of Zen, and being inside the Wrathful Soul Demon Array, how could he possibly withstand the combined attack of the two demon generals?
As she continued walking, Liuli's brows furrowed more and more, her face filled with anger.
Soon, Liuli arrived at the side of the melee. She coughed lightly and shouted, "Two demon generals, please stop!"
The two demon generals turned to look at Liuli, then withdrew their hands and stepped back in confusion. One of the demon generals asked in a deep voice, "What is it?"
The two demon generals stopped fighting, allowing Shi Chan to catch his breath. Because of the seven-jeweled kasaya he wore, several malevolent spirits lingered not far from him, but dared not approach him.
When Shi Chan saw Liuli, he was first surprised, then smiled with joy. He looked at her with gentle and smiling eyes, and put his hands together in a Buddhist gesture from afar.
Liuli withdrew her angry gaze from Shichan, looked at the two demon generals, and said in a deep voice, "This monk has a deep-seated hatred for me. I beg you two demon generals to hand him over to me so that I may kill him with my own hands!"
The two demon generals exchanged a glance, and out of consideration for Li Molin's feelings, they both nodded and turned to walk away.
"Miss Liuli." Shi Chan looked at Liuli from afar, a smile on his lips, and said gently, "It's been a long time. How have you been, Miss?"
Judging from his appearance and tone of voice, he didn't seem to be in such a dangerous and dangerous magic array at all. Instead, it was as if he had just met an old friend in a beautiful place and was greeting him familiarly.
Liuli, however, was completely different. She angrily said, "I think you monk just keep going wherever there is danger. Do you have a death wish?"
Shi Chan shook his head and chuckled, pleased by the concern shown in Liuli's cold words. This softened his voice, and he said gently, "This humble monk does not mind having too long a life, nor will I begrudge it. This humble monk only wishes to do my part for the sake of all living beings. If this humble monk can help the righteous ones destroy the Chi You Banner, then we can avert a calamity for the people. Regardless of the danger, as long as this humble monk has come and done his best, I will have peace of mind."
Liuli snorted coldly, looked up at the faintly visible barrier high above her head, and frowned, pondering how to open the barrier and let Shichan out.
