As the sun rises and sets, several days pass by in a flash.
In the past few days, the Buddhist, Taoist, and demonic people have settled down on the cloud platform. Under Li Molin's strict restraint, the demons have not caused any trouble, and the righteous side has no intention of eliminating demons and protecting the righteous path. Apart from the fact that each of the three sides has sent out many people to patrol and guard against the situation, which has brought a slight tense atmosphere to the cloud platform, everything on the platform is normal.
Today is September 15th. All three parties are tense. They have changed their lazy and relaxed attitude from the previous two days and have started to wander around the cloud platform looking for the secret. In particular, they have looked at the two stone doors from all angles, but they still can't find a way to open them.
And so it went until nightfall. All the hundreds of cultivators on the cloud platform who had not yet reached the Bigu realm went down the mountain to find food. The platform was half empty and much quieter.
Li Molin stood in front of the stone gate and gently stroked its rough texture. He stroked it inch by inch, but he could not find any mechanism or access.
Liuli perched on Li Molin's shoulder, her fluffy tail swaying back and forth, occasionally curling up his black hair and flying high, having a great time.
As she played, she would occasionally peek over the shoulder and see Shi Chan talking quietly with several of his fellow disciples on the other side of the stone gate. She had been arguing with Shi Chan for the past few days and hadn't gone to see him, yet he showed no intention of apologizing, which only fueled her anger.
She gave a low hum, listlessly slumped down, and hung entirely on Li Molin's body, her tail no longer moving, drooping limply on Li Molin's back.
"What's wrong?" Li Molin turned to look at her and asked in a low voice.
Liuli grabbed Li Molin's shirt with her two front paws, gently scratching the shirt with her sharp claws, and said weakly, "Li Molin, why doesn't the little monk go down the mountain to find something to eat? I've been watching him for days. Isn't he hungry?"
Li Molin turned his head and glanced at Shi Chan, then sneered and said disdainfully, "He has long since reached the state of abstaining from grains, can't you tell?"
Liuli was stunned for a moment, straightened up and turned to look, but after a moment she slumped down again, weakly saying, "It really is... I remember the last time he made a move he was only at the peak of the Foundation Establishment stage, how come he has condensed a relic in just a few days?"
Li Molin turned his attention back to the stone gate in front of him and sneered, "That day I saw that he was only one step away from forming a relic. If he can't, it can only be said that he is stupid!"
"The little monk isn't stupid!" Liuli retorted angrily, and with a forceful stab of her sharp claws, she pierced through Li Molin's clothes and struck him hard.
"Ouch!" Li Molin winced in pain and reached out to pat Liuli's head without any hesitation.
Li Molin turned his attention back to the stone door in front of him and casually asked, "Liuli, why do you always look like this?"
Liuli said matter-of-factly, "There are so many little monks, nuns, and Taoist priests here. I can't let them remember me. I'm counting on them to treat me like a human so I can tease them!"
“You…” Li Molin shook his head and chuckled, his eyes full of doting affection, and said with a smile, “You have far too many cunning thoughts.”
With a nimble flick of her tail, Liuli curled up all of Li Molin's tied-up hair and tossed it upwards, instantly messing it up. She smiled mischievously and said, "You don't know, back in Fox Plains I could only tease the wild animals in the forest. Now that I'm out here, of course I'm going to tease humans!"
Li Molin smoothed his hair and glared at Liuli with displeasure.
Suddenly, a commotion arose outside the Cloud Platform. Li Molin and the others who were near the stone gate turned to look. They saw the clouds outside the Cloud Platform churning and slowly spreading out, quickly covering the entire platform. Through the clouds, they could vaguely see the people coming down the mountain arriving one after another, but they were trapped outside by the seemingly thin clouds and could not get through.
At this moment, everyone on the stone platform walked to the jade railing. When they reached out and touched the clouds, their hands went numb as if they were being electrocuted, and screams of surprise immediately rose and fell.
A commotion arose on the cloud platform as people gathered in twos and threes, looking around or gazing at the sky. A thin layer of clouds covered the entire platform, churning and rolling. The faint white mist quickly spread across the platform, making it feel like a fairyland.
Time slipped by quietly, and it was already midnight. The white clouds on the cloud platform grew thicker and thicker, enveloping everyone and making them feel warm and comfortable. With just a slight breath, pure and rich spiritual energy filled their bodies. If one could cultivate in such a place, it would surely be twice as effective with half the effort.
Today is a fine day. The sky outside Yuntai is clear and the stars are few. A full moon hangs high in the sky, casting a soft light. It is the time when the moon is high in the sky. The moonlight shines on the clouds around Yuntai like water. The moonlight does not disperse. The moonlight on the clouds gathers more and more. After about half an hour, the moonlight on the clouds has accumulated to a certain extent and suddenly pours down.
Looking up from the cloud platform, everyone saw that the moonlight, like water, poured down from the clouds around the platform, shining entirely on the jade railing. Once refracted on the jade railing, it converged into a beam of green light about two zhang wide, which reflected onto the tightly closed stone door, completely enveloping it.
All eyes were drawn to the stone door, which, under the azure light, slowly opened with a rumbling sound.
Including Li Molin, a dozen or so quick-reacting individuals rushed towards the stone gate, their speed turning them into phantoms.
Unexpectedly, a sudden change occurred. Just as the dozen or so people were about to rush into the stone gate, a bright blue light suddenly shone. The blue light seemed extremely thin but was unusually flexible. The dozen or so people crashed into the blue light and were violently bounced back, flying more than ten feet away before staggering and landing in a sorry state.
Li Molin was sent flying backward and had to kneel on one knee to stop the backward momentum. He looked up and saw that the stone door was open and two young Taoist boys in blue robes, who looked no more than eight or nine years old, slowly walked out of the door and stood on the left and right sides of the stone door.
Two young Taoist boys, dressed in identical blue robes, their hair tied in a bun with a jade hairpin inserted horizontally, bowed respectfully and said in unison, "Qingyun and Qingling, the gatekeepers of Yuntai Cave, greet you all!"
After exchanging greetings, Qingyun on the left flicked his whisk and said in a clear voice, "Extraordinary treasures possess spirits, and those with virtue should possess them. Since you have all come here today, it is by fate."
Qingyun paused, and Qingling continued, "When our immortal master ascended to immortality, he foresaw today's situation. The immortal master knew that everyone's cultivation level today was only at the peak of the second stage. Therefore, the two of us will compete with you with the strength of the peak of the Golden Core stage. If you can defeat the two of us, you can enter the cave."
Qingyun said, "Upon entering the cave, our immortal masters have set up three trials. The first trial is an illusion array, the second is a killing array, and the third is a death array. You must pass through all three trials before you can see the treasure. However, the treasure is imbued with spirit, and your chances will determine its fate."
Qingling said, "Opportunities are determined by fate, and life and death are determined by destiny. Who among you would like to go first?"
