Chapter 488 Strange

At dusk.

Liuli led over a thousand divine beasts to destroy two Buddhist temples in succession. When she returned to the City of Gods and Demons, she felt exhausted, even though she hadn't actually done anything.

Ever since she met Shi Chan, her brows had been furrowed, and she felt terrible. She resented Shi Chan for coming to see her specifically for the Xuanyuan Sword, and she was fed up with her current life. She longed to return to Queqiao Town, but the demonic power within her prevented her from yielding to Shi Chan.

These complex emotions piled up in her heart, making her feel particularly bad, to say the least.

The Lotus Platform beneath Liuli's feet was the fastest, landing first in the City of Gods and Demons, followed by Yu Xin, Ge Yiyuan, and over a thousand divine beast youths.

She frowned, put her hands behind her back and walked forward, saying in a deep voice as she went, "All the divine beasts should go and rest. Yu Xin, Ge Yiyuan, you two go and play in the city for a while. Don't go back to the Tranquil Palace. I want to be alone."

Yu Xin and the others responded in unison. She and Ge Yiyuan exchanged a glance, shrugged helplessly, and turned to walk to the side. The group of divine beast youths dispersed. Some of the divine beasts did not feel tired and went to play elsewhere, while others went straight back to their dwellings to rest.

One of the dragon clan youths greeted the other divine beasts and then left alone, wandering along some secluded paths, eventually arriving at the Demon Lord's Palace.

When Liuli arrived at the Tranquil Palace, she was surprised to see Yu Ke sitting quietly on a stone chair under a willow tree, waiting patiently.

Liuli's brows furrowed even more. She had deliberately kept Yu Xin and Ge Yiyuan away because she wanted some peace and quiet, but Yu Ke was here to bother her.

Upon seeing Yu Ke, Liu Li's already terrible mood worsened even further.

Because she was in such a bad mood, her complexion was naturally not good either. She quickly walked to the wicker chair, sat down, and asked in a deep voice, "What are you doing here, Yu Ke?"

When Yu Ke saw Liu Li, he had already stood up. He sat down after Liu Li sat down and replied, "I came to see you, Miss, about the Venerable One."

Liuli lay on the rattan chair, closed her eyes, and said in a deep voice without any politeness, "I'm in a bad mood. Hurry up and tell me, and then leave quickly."

Yu Ke paused for a moment, noticing that Liu Li's expression was indeed not good, and then he got straight to the point: "I came to see you today specifically because I have sensed something strange about Your Excellency since you left."

"What's strange?" Liuli asked calmly.

Yu Ke said in a deep voice, "I feel... Your Excellency is like a completely different person."

Since Yu Ke didn't say anything, Liu Li didn't think much of it or even consider that possibility. In fact, although she had only seen Li Molin a couple of times after returning to the Demon Clan's camp, she had already noticed his unusual behavior.

The Li Molin she first met in the Demon Lord's Palace was completely unfamiliar to her, so unfamiliar that she couldn't sense his presence at all, and even subconsciously didn't regard him as Li Molin.

Later, it was Li Molin, who came to the Ningjing Palace to see her, who was the person she knew.

However, she didn't delve into it. When she first met Li Molin, she sensed his indifference towards her, but she just thought that since she left on her wedding day, causing Li Molin great humiliation, it was only natural for him to hate her.

But upon hearing Yu Ke's words, Liu Li immediately realized that something was amiss.
