Qingyun waved his whisk, his face expressionless, showing neither frustration nor anger. He simply bowed slightly and said, "This demon prince is quite capable. You may proceed, young master!"
Li Molin turned and winked at Liuli, nodded to Qingyun, and got up to walk into the Cloud Platform Cave. Liuli nimbly ran over and leaped onto Li Molin's shoulder.
Standing in front of the stone gate, Qingling stared intently at the glass on his shoulder for a long time until Li Molin walked up to him. Only then did he calmly withdraw his gaze, bowed respectfully, and made no attempt to stop the glass, turning around to give way slightly.
Li Molin nodded, paused at the door for a moment, then got up and went inside.
Upon entering the cave, the light suddenly dimmed, and a faint blue glow filled the view. Li Molin quickly adjusted to the darkness and looked around. He could only see a misty cloud about ten feet ahead. This area looked no different from an ordinary cave, except that the cave walls were smooth and there were two lamp holders on each side, each holding a bright pearl that emitted a faint blue glow.
Li Molin said in a low voice, "The one ahead should be the illusion array that Qingling and Qingyun mentioned. Liuli, you must stay close to me and don't run away, understand?"
"Okay, okay!" Liuli stared at the clouds in front of her and urged, "Hurry up and go in!"
Li Molin shook his head helplessly and muttered, "Do you think that's some kind of nice place..."
He walked cautiously, slowly entering the clouds.
--
As soon as they stepped into the clouds, Li Molin and Liuli felt their vision darken, as if they had fallen into a deep sleep.
And so, a long, long time passed. Liuli opened her eyes in a blur, and a ray of golden sunlight shone down, causing her to squint involuntarily. She looked around and saw a plain covered with wild grass, with low hills rising and falling across it. She was lying on one of those low hills, her three fluffy tails softly spread out on it.
Liuli's mind was a mess. She got up in a daze and saw her grandmother Yingmo sleeping soundly beside her. She looked around blankly and, as usual, many white foxes were lying in the grass, fast asleep.
She staggered to her feet and stepped through the grass towards the dense forest. Soon, she reached the heart of the woods, habitually transforming into a woman's form, and began to walk forward. Before she knew it, she had arrived at a low hill. She stood there for a long time, then suddenly remembered her purpose for coming there, and called out, "Ling!"
Her words had barely faded when a series of babbling sounds came from the cave in the low hill. A little boy, about seven or eight months old and barely able to walk, wobbled out. He smiled, opened his chubby arms to Liuli, and called out indistinctly, "Liuli... Liuli..."
A warmth filled Liuli's heart. She opened her arms, walked over, and hugged the little boy, smiling, "Bailing, shall I take you to play?"
"Okay..." the little boy clapped his hands and laughed, "Let's go play... play..."
The dappled sunlight shone on Liuli's small face, and she smiled so hard that her eyes crinkled into crescents. Her long eyelashes framed her warm and mysterious gaze.
--
It felt like he had slept for a very long time. When Li Molin woke up, he saw a desolate land before him, with sand and stones flying everywhere in the wind. He opened his eyes and immediately saw a woman with stunningly beautiful features. She had captivating peach blossom eyes, a delicate nose, and rosy lips. Her face was originally gentle and beautiful, but there was an undeniable air of heroism between her brows and eyes.
Li Molin's eyes trembled, and he called out blankly, "Mother..."
As soon as he said it, he was suddenly stunned. He looked down and saw that he was sitting on a large rock, his figure small, only about seven years old.
While he was still in a daze, the woman leaped up and sat down next to him, her familiar fragrance instantly filling his nostrils. He looked up at her face, his eyes filled with deep, unforgettable longing.
"What's wrong, Lin'er?" The woman smiled and patted his head, saying, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Li Molin's mind was hazy; he didn't know what was happening. He only knew that his heart ached, he wanted to cry, and he wanted to hold the woman in front of him and never let go. So, following his heart, as tears streamed down his face, he suddenly hugged the woman tightly, his voice choked with sobs as he tried to hold back, whimpering, "Mother, I missed you so much, I really missed you so much..."
"What's wrong?" The woman hugged him, rested her chin on his head, and said softly, "My Lin'er, what's wrong? Mother misses Lin'er too. Mother can't leave Lin'er for a moment, and Lin'er will never leave Mother, right?"
Li Molin choked up as he said, "Lin'er will never leave his mother, Lin'er will stay with his mother for the rest of his life..."
"My Lin'er is the best." The woman smiled gently. "Lin'er, don't cry. How about Mother performs a magic trick for you?"
Li Molin released the woman and sat up straight. He wiped away his tears haphazardly, looked up at the woman, and nodded obediently, saying, "Okay."
The woman extended her right hand, revealing a seed in her fair palm. She smiled and said, "Lin'er, watch carefully."
As she spoke, wisps of green energy suddenly enveloped her hands. Within the energy, the seed emitted a soft crackling sound, then split open in two, revealing a tender sprout. The sprout grew visibly, quickly becoming a stalk of green grass over a foot tall. Next, a flower bud emerged from among the leaves and soon bloomed, its layers of petals vibrant and beautiful, displaying a stunning array of seven colors.
"Is it pretty?" the woman asked with a smile.
