Chapter 539 Lin Qingyu

The next day, early morning.

Yu Ke arrived at the Demon Lord's Palace early in the morning and saw Li Molin leaning against a wide chair on the high platform. He looked up at the high dome with a deep smile on his face.

Yu Ke came down from the platform, looked up at Li Molin, and asked with a smile, "Why is Your Majesty so happy?"

"Is that Yu Ke?" Li Molin only then noticed Yu Ke's arrival. He looked down at Yu Ke and asked with a smile, "Did you come to see me for something?"

Yu Ke did not answer his question, but continued to ask, "Has Miss Liuli left?"

"She's gone." Li Molin shook his head and sighed, "That heartless girl, I could only keep her for one day."

Yu Ke asked doubtfully, "Judging from Your Majesty's expression, I thought Miss Liuli hadn't left. If she has, why is Your Majesty still so happy?"

A smile returned to Li Molin's lips as he chuckled, "Yu Ke, you don't know, Liu Li has reverted to her former personality after her rebirth, just like when we first met her. And she's still alive. I also know she went to Queqiao Town, so if you miss her, you can go see her. That's really good."

"Yes." Yu Ke bowed in response, then looked up at Li Molin and smiled, "When some of our clansmen retreated from the City of Gods and Demons back to the Demon Realm, they discovered a woman in the Central Plains. I have already seen her; she is quite lovely. Would Your Majesty be interested in meeting her?"

Li Molin smiled faintly and said, "Yu Ke, are you also trying to force a woman on me like the four elders? And a woman from the Central Plains?"

Yu Ke's smile looked somewhat eerie. He said, "Your Excellency, please meet that woman first before discussing anything else."

Li Molin chuckled and shook his head. He raised his hand, intending to wave Yu Ke away, but then he suddenly remembered what Liu Li had told him before they parted:

"Li Molin, you should find someone to keep you company, otherwise I won't feel at ease with you."

At that time, he did not agree to Liuli's request, but told her that he only loved her and would never fall in love with another woman.

After much coaxing and pleading from Liuli, he reluctantly agreed that he would bring his wife with him next time he visited her, and only then did she leave with great enthusiasm.

Well, it seems she said before she left that she wouldn't see him if he didn't bring his wife with him when he visited her.

Li Molin gently placed his raised hand on his knee. His gaze gradually returned to Yu Ke, and he said with a faint smile, "Let her in, Yu Ke."

Yu Ke bowed in agreement, turned to look outside the hall, and called out, "Let that girl from the Central Plains come in!"

As soon as Yu Ke finished speaking, a series of light footsteps came from inside the hall. Li Molin looked up at the hall door and saw a human woman dressed in a green outfit walking in with light steps.

The woman's attire clearly indicated that she was a wandering martial arts practitioner, not a sheltered young lady from a wealthy family.

When she entered the hall, she looked up with curiosity at the high dome of the hall. She walked several steps forward before lowering her head and looking around at the furnishings in the hall.

When she lowered her head, Li Molin was taken aback.

This woman resembled Liuli by seven parts in appearance, and her expression was nine parts similar to Liuli's when they first met.

The woman walked briskly to Yu Ke's side and stopped. Her gaze finally turned to Li Molin. She looked him up and down and asked loudly, "Are you the Demon Lord?"

Li Molin detected no spiritual energy fluctuations from this woman; she was undoubtedly just an ordinary human woman from the Central Plains. Looking at her small face, so remarkably like glass, a smile unconsciously appeared on his lips. He smiled at the woman and said, "You know I am the Demon Lord, so why aren't you afraid of me?"

"Why should I be afraid of you?" the woman scoffed. "What are you going to do to me?"

Li Molin, intending to scare her, said with a wicked smile, "Haven't you heard? We demons do eat people."

The woman's face showed no fear whatsoever. She waved her hand and scoffed, "Tch, I don't believe it."

Li Molin's smile deepened. He leaned forward, rested his elbows on his knees, and asked softly, "Little girl, what's your name?"

The woman raised her chin and replied, "You can call me Lin Qingyu."

“Lin Qingyu…” Li Molin uttered these three words softly. He paused for a moment, then said with a smile, “You shall stay by my side.”

A smug smile appeared on Lin Qingyu's face, a smile almost identical to the one Liuli had shown when Li Molin first met her. She looked up at Li Molin and asked with a smile, "What are the benefits of me staying by your side?"

Li Molin smiled and asked in return, "What benefits do you want?"

"Hmm..." Lin Qingyu lowered her eyes and pondered for a while, then looked up and smiled, "I haven't thought of anything yet. Never mind, I'll stay here and think about it slowly!"

Li Molin smiled gently and replied softly, "Okay."
