Chapter 6 Glass...

Suddenly, his tightly closed eyes twitched, and he slowly opened them, a gentle smile playing on his lips. He murmured to himself, "I see you. You've finally come back..."

Then, he moved, got out of bed, put on his straw sandals, slowly walked over, opened the wooden door and went out. He placed one hand in front of his chest, forming a lotus shape, and murmured an incantation. A lotus platform shining with golden light appeared out of thin air. He stepped onto the lotus platform, and the platform suddenly moved, turning into a dazzling golden light that shot into the sky and headed southwest.

However, just a quarter of an hour later, the golden light had already flown over several cities and directly reached the southwestern border of Yuanzhou, above a dense forest.

Amidst the flashing golden light, the figure of the monk appeared, standing on the lotus platform. He stood still in the air for a moment, his eyes slightly closed, then a smile appeared on his lips. The lotus platform turned and descended into the depths of the forest.

Soon, the monk appeared in front of a low hill in the forest. The lotus platform disappeared, and the monk gently stepped on the ground. After seeing the scene in front of him, he put his palms together, smiled, and chanted a Buddhist prayer. He then slowly walked into the cave in the low hill.

As dusk approached, the dim light failed to penetrate the cave, making it somewhat dark inside.

As soon as the monk stepped into the cave, he looked closely and saw two large tigers huddled together, while three smaller tigers were fighting over the meat of a deer. The scene was somewhat bloody and mangled, and a look of pity immediately appeared in the monk's eyes.

Strangely, there was a human child sitting among the three tiger cubs, fighting with them for venison. He was too young, with only a few teeth, and could only snatch some scraps of meat that the tiger cubs spilled, swallowing them in a daze. His little hands and lips were stained with blood.

The moment the monk appeared, the two lazy tigers were startled and immediately stood up, glaring at him fiercely.

The monk smiled and bowed in the direction of the two tigers, saying gently, "You need not be alarmed. I have only come to take this human child away and have no intention of harming you or your child."

As he spoke, he softly recited a Buddhist mantra, and a gentle golden light filled the cave, shining on the two tigers and instantly calming their restless emotions. In the golden light, the two tigers lay down again and let out docile cries.

The monk clasped his hands together and said gently with a smile, "Amitabha. Today you have raised this child, planting a seed of good karma, which will surely bring you blessings in the future. Excellent, excellent!"

After saying that, he walked over and picked up the child who was still staring blankly at him, ignoring the blood on the child that stained his monk's robe.

The monk looked at the blood on the child's hands and mouth with a wry smile, shook his head and sighed, "In this life, you've truly... suffered a miserable fate..."

The child stared blankly at him, babbling incoherently.

"Let's go." The monk smiled gently, picked up the child and walked out of the cave. After chanting a Buddhist mantra, the lotus platform appeared out of thin air. The monk stepped onto the lotus platform and was about to make it fly into the sky when the child realized something. His expression was a little flustered, and he mumbled, "Liuli... Liu... Li... Liuli."

The monk paused, then asked in confusion, "Lapis lazuli?"

He pondered for a long time, unsure of what the child meant. He shook his head, then commanded the lotus platform beneath his feet to suddenly soar into the sky and fly away into the distance. Only the child's indistinct voice remained, calling out again and again, "Liuli...Liuli..."

"Liuli..."
