Chapter 91 What a coincidence

I walked a short distance from Tenglong Street and then turned onto Huayang Street.

It was already late at night, and there was not a soul in sight on Huayang Street. Three carriages sped forward with a "rolling" sound. The carriage in the middle, belonging to the Jade King, soon stopped in front of a mansion next to Huayang Street, and Xuan Yuanhao and Liang Yihan got out of the carriage.

Liang Yihan got off the carriage and was about to enter the mansion, but Xuan Yuanhao showed no intention of going in. Liang Yihan stopped and asked in confusion, "Haozi, what's wrong?"

"Wait a minute." Xuan Yuanhao peeked back the way he came.

Not long after, Zhang Chao's carriage sped past the two of them. After the carriage had passed for a while, Liuli and Ahua, who were quite a distance behind, finally walked over, chatting and laughing.

Liuli spotted Xuanyuan Hao from afar. She waved and greeted him with a smile, "Xuanyuan Hao!"

Xuan Yuanhao smiled gently and said in a warm voice, "Miss Liuli, you still remember me."

"I remember!" Liuli laughed. "You even said you'd draw me a picture."

“I have drawn it.” Xuan Yuanhao said with a gentle smile, “It’s just that I didn’t bring the painting with me. But I brought it with me when I returned to the capital. It’s in the mansion behind me. If you have time, you can come back to the mansion with me to get it.”

Liuli nodded, about to agree, when she heard Yu Ke's voice from afar, urging, "Miss Liuli, hurry up!"

Liuli frowned and said unhappily, "Never mind, let's do it another day."

"Alright." Xuan Yuanhao was slightly disappointed, but then he remembered something and asked with a smile, "Is the young lady staying at Lord Zhang's residence? I'll send someone to deliver the painting to her tomorrow."

"Alright." Liuli nodded with a smile and said, "I saw the painting you gave to the Emperor at the banquet just now, so the painting you give me can't be worse than that one!"

"Of course." Xuan Yuanhao nodded and smiled. "It's late, young lady, you should go back and rest."

Liuli glanced at Liang Yihan, who was standing silently to the side, then pulled Ahua forward, waving her hand and smiling, "Goodbye, Xuanyuan Hao!"

"Goodbye!" Xuan Yuanhao replied with a smile.

Liang Yihan stood beside Xuan Yuanhao, silently watching Liuli and Ahua's figures gradually disappear into the distance. His face was ashen, his hands clenched into fists and then opened, he hesitated for a long time, and then suddenly transformed into a beam of azure light and flew towards Liuli and Ahua.

Ahua was pulled along by Liuli for a while when she couldn't help but turn around to look. She saw that Xuanyuan Hao was still standing in front of the mansion, but Liang Yihan was nowhere to be seen. Ahua was stunned.

She turned around, but all she saw was a blur. Accompanied by a streak of blue light, Liang Yihan suddenly appeared in front of them.

Liuli didn't like Liang Yihan. When she saw him blocking their way, her face darkened and she said unhappily, "Hey, what are you doing?"

Ahua looked at Liang Yihan, her mouth slightly open, as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.

Liang Yihan didn't look at Ahua. His expression was strange, containing a hint of disdain and reproach. He spoke lightly to Liuli, "Miss Liuli, you are as beautiful as a fairy, yet you know you have to see Emperor Rui, so you specially changed into men's clothing. But I don't know, what is the meaning of bringing Ahua into the palace dressed up so beautifully?"

Liuli was stunned for a moment before she realized what was going on. No wonder, no wonder Li Molin insisted on her wearing men's clothing before letting her into the palace. It turned out he already knew that Emperor Rui was a womanizer!

Liuli looked at Ahua with a face full of shame and said remorsefully, "Ahua, I'm sorry, I didn't think that much."

Ahua quickly realized what was going on. She shook her head and said softly, "It's okay, sister. I know you wouldn't hurt me."

As she spoke, she turned to Liang Yihan and said in a polite but distant tone, "Liang Yihan, thank you for helping me out of awkward situations many times at the banquet. Sister, let's go."

Liang Yihan's brow twitched, and a sudden pain shot through his heart. For the first time, he truly began to realize that Ahua was no longer his Ahua.

Ahua and Liuli walked past Liang Yihan hand in hand. He remained silent for a while, suppressing the turmoil in his heart, and slowly walked towards the front of the Jade Prince's Mansion.

Xuan Yuanhao watched Liang Yihan walk over step by step. He lowered his head, his steps were slow, and his whole body seemed somewhat dejected.

Xuan Yuanhao asked in confusion, "Yi Han, what's wrong?"

"It's alright." Liang Yihan raised his head and chuckled softly, saying, "Let's go in and discuss our next steps. Right now, our top priority is to return to our fiefdom safely."

"Okay." Xuan Yuanhao replied, and as he turned to walk into the mansion, he casually said, "Yi Han, what a coincidence, the maid next to Miss Liuli is also named Ahua."

Liang Yihan twitched the corners of his mouth but didn't laugh, and replied in a low voice, "Yes, what a coincidence."
