Chapter 123 Cui Qingling

Before we knew it, it was time for the end of the semester. The festive atmosphere on the streets gradually intensified, and people who had finished their exams walked out of the teaching building in twos and threes.

Having always faced all sorts of seasoned veterans in the business world, the two of them walked side by side on campus, finding a rare moment of relaxation.

The students around them were discussing where to go after the exam, and some were even comparing answers. It was an ordinary, mundane daily routine, but to them, it felt like a distant, unreal experience.

"Wanwan!" Lan Xing appeared from behind, followed by Peng Zhe.

"Blue Star".

"Brother Yan." Peng Zhe patted him on the shoulder, without saying much.

Yan Nian smiled at him, "How did the exam go?"

"I don't think my allowance will be cut off."

Peng Zhe is still the same Peng Zhe, carefree.

Are you heading back? Would you like to have a meal together?

Meng Wan and Yan Nian shook their heads in unison. Qin Yi had called ahead of time, telling them to come home for dinner after the exam.

"I'll try Auntie's cooking next time," Lanxing said with a hint of envy.

"Oh, by the way, don't forget to pick you up tomorrow."

"Remember to drive a four-wheeled vehicle," Meng Wan joked.

"Of course."

Yan Nian patted Meng Wan's head, and the two said goodbye to them before turning and leaving the school gate.

Peng Zhe and Lan Xing watched their backs as they leaned on each other, feeling a pang of sadness, but as friends, there was really not much they could do.

"Fortunately, Brother Yan has Sister Wan by his side."

Lan Xing pursed her lips. "I'm leaving now too. See you next semester."

Peng Zhe waved to her and then joined his friends who had been waiting nearby.

"Is Cui Qingling coming back?"

“Yes, we’ll hold an exhibition when we get back, and she’ll transfer to our class next semester.” Meng Wan’s eyes held a hint of anticipation. The last time she saw Qing Ling was during the summer vacation, and in the blink of an eye, the winter vacation had already arrived.

"That's good, it's the last semester anyway." Yan Nian naturally knew about the relationship between the three of them.

Meng Wan nodded. "Mom said she made you some crispy pork."

"Then let's go quickly."

Meng Wan chuckled, "How many meals have you eaten there this month?"

"We'll be eating together many more times in the future."

They hid their sadness and longing, and life went on; they were all striving to become better people.

They continue to move forward, never forgetting the memories of the past, nor erasing the regrets of yesteryear, which makes the present all the more precious.

We live in this one and only life, and because we don't want to have any regrets, we must live each moment to the fullest.

The next day, Lan Xing and Meng Wan were waiting at the airport early in the morning. A large crowd of men and women had gathered, holding banners and looking excited.

"How come Qingling's popularity has increased so much again?" Lan Xing and Meng Wan stood in the corner, afraid that these fans might accidentally overwhelm them.

“A variety show invited her before. She is beautiful, highly skilled, and also promoted traditional culture in front of foreigners. She also added a delicate buff. It’s not surprising.”

Meng Wan has met all sorts of artists. Although she's not in that circle, she has a very thorough understanding of fans' psychology. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to cultivate so many top-tier artists.

Lan Xing nodded thoughtfully, then his expression changed.

"What if they start shouting and scare Qingling?"

"Don't worry, the fans are much more worried than we are. Look, some people are already starting to organize discipline." Meng Wan crossed her arms and looked calm.

Lan Xing followed Meng Wan's gaze and, sure enough, saw a person carrying a large cannon, resembling a fan site administrator, holding a megaphone and shouting at the crowd.

"Everyone knows about Lingling's health condition. Please keep quiet, do not push or shove, and maintain order."

"good."

"knew."

The people below responded to the fan site administrator's words with surprising obedience, and soon the restless crowd quieted down.

"Hey, this is amazing." Blue Star wasn't particularly interested in this tour, so he naturally found it novel.

Meng Wan smiled indulgently, "It's almost time. Let's go to the arrivals room and wait, otherwise people will crowd around us."

“Yeah, I can’t handle having a bunch of people following us.” Lan Xing usually seems like an extroverted person, but at times she is surprisingly introverted.

The two had just stepped into the arrivals room when Cui Qingling came out from the exit.

Her long, straight black hair made her skin appear even whiter. Perhaps because she hadn't seen the sun in a long time, or perhaps due to her health, her complexion was much whiter than most people's, and she exuded a gentle and graceful aura.

She's like a porcelain doll; it's as if even a slightly loud voice would frighten her.

"Qingling, welcome back to China!"

"Good luck with the exhibition!"

"Qingling, we love you."

Fans whispered their love, and Cui Qingling responded generously. A gentle smile graced her face, her small dimples adding to her charm; she was so beautiful that one wanted to bring all the beautiful things in the world to her.

"Thank you so much for coming to pick me up so early in the morning."

"It's not tiring. You must be tired after such a long flight. You should get some rest."

"Okay, be careful on your way back." Cui Qingling's voice was sweet and soft, making people unconsciously smile like an aunt.

Eat well, rest well, and see you at the exhibition.

A group of young people followed Cui Qingling, giving her advice like mothers-in-law. Cui Qingling agreed to each of their requests, and only waved goodbye to them when they reached the elevator.
