As if they had just finished eating, the doorbell rang.
"Wanwan, go open the door."
Meng Wan responded without suspicion, and got up to open the door.
This is the year.
"Wanwan."
"Finished with your work? Have you eaten yet? Aunt Liu just made a cake, have a piece first." Meng Wan naturally made way for Yan Nian to come in.
"Have you finished eating?" Yan Nian asked instead of going in.

The three chatted about various topics, and people would come over to congratulate Meng Wan from time to time. She responded to each one without showing any impatience.
The sun slowly descended, and the sky was gradually enveloped in darkness.
"Then we'll be going. You can open the gifts when we get back."
Lan Xing and the rest of the class prepared to go back, while Yan Nian and Meng Wan stood there watching them leave in batches.
