Meng Wan didn't bring much, and Yan Nian didn't bring anything at all, making them somewhat out of place compared to the other students who were carrying all sorts of things.
"Let's go." After closing the trunk, Yan Nian deliberately freed one hand and beckoned to her.
Meng Wan chuckled and reached out to hold it.
The two were very outgoing and, coupled with their good looks, naturally attracted a lot of attention.
On the first day of school, someone posted a photo of the two of them on the school's confession wall, asking which department's senior had come to pick up his girlfriend.
Of course, that's a story for another time.
The two were walking towards the girls' dormitory. Because it was a news report, the school made an exception and allowed parents and members of the opposite sex to go upstairs.
The two disliked procrastination, and even though they were from the same city, they arrived early to make time for their date. So when they got to the dormitory, only the two of them were there; the others had not yet arrived.
Yan Nian dutifully fetched water to wipe the bed for Meng Wan, while Meng Wan assisted by taking out the contents of the suitcase one by one. The two worked together and quickly tidied up their little corner.
"Let's go, let's go report for duty."
Meng Wan nodded and locked the dormitory door.
Because they were majoring in different fields, they decided to go to their respective registration points and then meet at the school gate in order to get things done faster.
"Excuse me, where is the Finance Department located?"
As Meng Wan walked out of the tent with the documents in her hand, someone called her back.
"Over there." Yan Nian was walking in that direction.
"Thank you, but I feel like I've seen you somewhere before..."
Meng Wan looked up, glanced at him, and confirmed that she had never seen him before.
"You've mistaken me for someone else." She said it with certainty and indifference, but the other person scratched his head and grinned at her like a cheerful young man.
"My name is Hu Lou. Would you mind getting to know me?"
