Chapter 150 It all started because of her!

"I said, you've mistaken me for someone else." Hu Lou's smile was almost about to burst.

He increased his strength and shoved Tang Zhiyi away.

"Why are you doing this to me! I've given so much for you, given everything, why are you doing this to me?" Tang Zhiyi ignored the pain from her scraped palms and struggled to grab Hu Lou's trouser leg.

"Let's go, maybe some crazy person has wandered out from somewhere." Hu Lou avoided Tang Zhiyi's attempt to grab his trouser leg and took a few steps back.

The roommate's gaze lingered on the two of them for a moment, but in the end, he chose not to ask any questions and quickly followed Hu Lou's steps.

Seeing this, Tang Zhiyi got up to chase after him, but was blocked by the crowd. By the time she arrived, Hu Lou was already gone.

She searched anxiously, but instead of finding Hu Lou, she saw Meng Wan, the person she hated most in her life and the one who couldn't stand to see her doing well.

At this moment, Meng Wan and Yan Nian were walking hand in hand down the street, heading towards the school.

The two of them certainly saw the farce, but they had no intention of getting involved, treating it as just another source of amusement in their ordinary lives.

But just because Meng Wan thinks this way doesn't mean Tang Zhiyi thinks the same way.

She clenched her fists, glaring menacingly in the direction Meng Wan had left.

It all started because of her!

If it weren't for Meng Wan, she wouldn't have been sent abroad, wouldn't have suffered the scorn and bullying of the servants, and wouldn't have fallen to this state. She lost everything—family, love, even wealth—while Meng Wan has everything!

Why should she be the one receiving so much attention and affection, regardless of whether her surname is Meng or Tang?

As if possessed, she followed the two of them until she saw them enter the school before she stopped.

She didn't even get a high school diploma, while Meng Wan was able to attend such a good school...

Tang Zhiyi clenched her fists, her eyes filled with undisguised jealousy and hatred.

As night slowly fell, she wandered the streets, finding herself with nowhere to go. Suddenly, a torrential downpour began, catching passersby off guard and causing them to quicken their pace.

Tang Zhiyi stood next to the bus stop, her hair drooping, looking somewhat disheveled.

She threw her bag on the ground in frustration, and someone else who was also taking shelter from the rain near the bus stop glanced at her.

"What are you looking at! A bunch of poor, shabby old men!"

The expressions of those around her changed, and soon a circle appeared around her, like a barrier, separating her from the others.

"Hey, come pick me up."

Her tone was somewhat aggressive, and her attitude was even worse, but less than five minutes later, a luxury car pulled up in front of the bus stop.

The driver, holding an umbrella, opened the car door to let her in.

Tang Zhiyi tossed her hair and snorted at the crowd beside her, as if only in this way could she regain her self-respect.

She went inside, soaked from the rain, and all she wanted to do was take a shower and get some sleep.

"Miss, the master wants you to go to the study."

The housekeeper's words gave Tang Zhiyi goosebumps.

She stopped in her tracks instinctively, her face paling slightly, before realizing the foolish things she had done.

"I'm not feeling well..." Tang Zhiyi pursed her lips, and even the bright red lipstick couldn't save her from looking pale.

"The master requests your presence in the study," the butler repeated.

Tang Zhiyi gritted her teeth, knowing she had no choice but to go. She glared fiercely at the housekeeper; these clueless servants couldn't even recognize their master!

As if afraid she would run away, the butler followed behind Tang Zhiyi and even thoughtfully knocked on the study door.

"Sir, Miss is back."

"Let her in!" Even through the door, Tang Sheng's anger could not be concealed.

Tang Zhiyi was startled and shakily opened the door. As soon as she entered, before the door could even be closed, an ashtray was smashed at her.

Unfortunately, it hit her shoulder, causing Tang Zhiyi to scream in pain and tears welled up in her eyes.

Seeing this, the butler silently closed the study door and beckoned to the servants to clean up the ashtray that had been thrown out.

The study was filled with the smell of smoke, and the floor was a mess, with various documents scattered on the ground.

Tang Zhiyi sobbed, her head bowed, not daring to look at Tang Sheng.

"Tang Zhiyi, are you ignoring my warnings?" Tang Zhiyi trembled uncontrollably upon hearing Tang Sheng's voice.

"I...I didn't."

Her soft rebuttal, delivered in a pitiful tone, only evoked no sympathy from Tang Sheng, but instead fueled his anger.

"You didn't?" Tang Sheng raised his voice! "You didn't? You left him in the restaurant and still dared to give Hong Jiarong attitude?"

"Are you complaining that you have too much money?!"

Tang Zhiyi instinctively gripped the bag tightly, as if afraid Tang Sheng would snatch her bank card.

"Useless! Useless! You're good for nothing but causing trouble. What can you do besides spend money? Your only value now is to please Hong Jiarong and get him to invest in the Tang family! Do you understand?!"

Tang Sheng was furious when he saw Tang Zhiyi's cowardly and useless appearance.

“I’m giving you a week. If you can’t get Hong Jiarong to willingly pay, then get out of the Tang family and go back to your slum.”

Tang Zhiyi suddenly looked up, staring at Tang Sheng in disbelief. At this moment, Tang Sheng was a businessman through and through; nothing but profit could arouse his interest.

"Dad! I'm your own daughter!"

"Do you know what the biggest difference is between you and Tang Wan?" He still calls Meng Wan Tang Wan, not because he acknowledges Tang Wan, but because he doesn't care what Meng Wan's surname is now.

However, it was clear that Tang Zhiyi had misunderstood.

Tang Sheng ignored all of that and continued talking to himself.

"The biggest difference between Tang Wan and you is that she sees things clearly!"

"Tang Wan, Tang Wan, her name is Meng Wan now, not Tang Wan!" Tang Zhiyi roared like a madwoman.

"Whether she's surnamed Tang or Meng is irrelevant to me! But what about you? Can you still bear the surname Meng?"

Tang Zhiyi's pupils suddenly contracted, and all the words stuck in her throat.

"Get out of here. Remember, one week. If you can't even do this, you're worthless."

Tang Sheng's words kept replaying in Tang Zhiyi's mind.

She entered the room in a daze and sat down at her desk.

She turned on her computer and, almost unconsciously, searched for the name of the school Meng Wan had attended, but the website required a student ID number to log in.

Tang Zhiyi quickly bought an account on a social media platform and browsed all the news about Meng Wan.

As she expected, Meng Wan is a conspicuous person wherever she goes, and there are countless posts related to her.

There were confessions, expressions of envy, and sighs... along with various candid photos. Although some were taken from unusual angles and some were so blurry they were unrecognizable, they still couldn't hide Meng Wan's beauty.

Tang Zhiyi gripped the mouse tightly, but her expression remained calm.

As night deepened and the room grew dark, the light from the computer screen reflected off her face, making her look like a demon crawling out of hell.
